Update mods yourself.

HOW DO I DO THIS

Are you tired of authers not updating maps, units or skins, etc....
Then read this guide carefully.

Step 1 right click the game title in your library.
Step 2 left click properties
Step 3 go to browse local files
Step 4 go to mods
Step 5 open the mod files folder
Step 6 open mod.info (open it with notepad)
Step 7 Add this under {MinGameVersion "3.115"} : {MaxGameVersion "3.260.0"}
If you already have a maxgame version line just replace it with this : {MaxGameVersion "3.262.1"}
No mingameversion? Dont worry just copy this one : {MinGameVersion "3.115"}
Step 8 click file
Step 9 click save
Step 10 close it
Step 11 start your game up
Step 12 see if it worked

Cheatsmod 488 errors

Qeustion :
Hi Yolop, pls help iI get an error message where the cheats buttons usually show, the error message is "Cannot load DDS DXT coded textures must have multiple of 4 dimensions"

Solution:
Whoever made the mod the custom minimaps or other textures must have their format corrected.
Therefore i cannot help you guys with this error. I suggest you just ignore the error and play with what does not gives errors.

Arcaster realism mod errors

Question:
Arcaster realism mod does not work.

Solution:
There is no fix for so far if i know, i trie out every mod you guys have problems with.
And i have the same problems, so my geuss is that something with an mg is creating an error.

As classic errors

Qeustion :

i cannot open "mod.info", you have a program o open it ?


Solution :

open it in notebook

Solution :

1. open the mod folder
2. go to resource
3. then set
4. then stuff
5. then gun
6. search for the file : kpvt (should be completly at the bottom)
7. delete that file because its creating a conflict

Yes you will miss one certain change but its worth it (sacrifice one to save everything else)

VRSVs Mod errors

qeustion :

My game keeps crashing why is that?


Solution :

So far VRSV mod is in it early stages so suspect it to crash sometimes when placing units in the editor, HOWEVER im sure they will patch it and some certain errors.
But for now stay away from the trains addons from the mod except the locomotives themselves.

Galaxy at war mod errors

Qeustion : star wars Galaxy at war mod missing models

The solution : there are models missing and the creator of the mod may have forgot to put them in the mod itself.

Don't get it it's full of errors.
Try Red rising mod.

A other way to fix that error crashing thing:You have two more ways, 1 is to Try to find the mod crashing your game and remove it, 2 is to not mix mods together or either turn off the mod on right now. (Just saying this so people can fix stuff Not really about fixing your game that much but it can help a bit)

I used to also test the mods myself to find the errors but i don't anymore for the big mods (heavy one for the cpu) because it takes forever to load.

That's cool, but I'd rather a mod that puts in some modern stuff in the main WW2 campaign or else some futuristic and/or fictional stuff against the main WW2 stuff in the main campaign like Warhammer 40K, Halo, or Star Wars stuff.
