Wildwater Bay (v 1.3)

Game Update: How can I get access to the Wild Water Bay update? I can't see it anywhere.

Please make sure that you downloaded the latest versions update.
Wildwater Bay is a part of the game since version 1.3.

Start Sector: Is it possible to start a new game in the Wildwater Bay sector?

The Wildwater Bay sector was intended to be an additional sector for further expansion. On popular demand of our Community, Wildwater Bay can be chosen as start sector like all temperate sectors (since version update 1.8).

Acquisition: What are the requirements to acquire the Wildwater Bay sector?

The conditions adapt dynamically. You must have a higher corporate level as the current owner of the sector. The required credits to differ between 1/4 and 1/3 of the maximum credits that you can earn on your current company level.

Colonization: What do I have to do in order to colonize the (second) island in Wildwater Bay?

Choose your command ship and sail to the warehouse building site.
Afterwards you can claim it.

Size: Compared to the Viridian Coves how much bigger is Wildwater Bay?

The Viridian Coves is 97,800 Acres in size, has 13 mountain building sites and 27 coastal building sites. Wildwater Bay comprises around 100,000 acres, 17 mountain building sites and 31 coastal building sites. It is the biggest sector in Anno history.

Sector project: What do I need to do in order to complete the sector project project?

Below you can find a quick guide...



Phase 1

1. Find Trenchcoat’s old chests along the coast.(Use your command ship and search the area)
   
2. Attach the sensor drone to your command ship, collect 4 scattered wreckage parts and bring them to your warehouse.
   
3. Maintain a workforce of 600 in Wildwater Bay; in a time period of 5 minutes
   
4. Attach the engineer’s boat to the command ship and bring 2 engineers ships to the sunken building
   
5. Maintain a surplus of 10 cobalt in Wildwater Bay; in a time period of 5 minutes. (You can use the World Market)
   
6. Load the vehicle with 50 super alloys from the spaceport and bring them to the sunken building. (You can also use the World Market)

Phase 2

1. Attract 1.000 workers in Wildwater Bay; time period is 10 minutes..
   
2. Load the vehicle with 75 Construct-o-Bots from the spaceport. (World market is an option)
   
3. Maintain an energy balance of 2.000 in Wildwater Bay; time period is 10 minutes.
   
4. Load the vehicle with 50 microchips from the spaceport. (In doubt, use the world market)
   
5. Attach a sensor drone to the command ship, follow the drone signal and collect 3 scattered wreckage parts and bring them to the warehouse.
   
6. Maintain a logistic balance of 200 in Wildwater Bay; time period is 10 minutes..
   
7. Attach the engineer’s ship to the command boat and bring two engineers ships to the sunken building.

Phase 3

1. Attach the engineer’s boat to the command ship and bring two engineers ships to the sunken building.
   
2. Maintain a surplus of 30 titanium in Wildwater Bay; time period is 15 minutes.
   
3. Attach the sensor drone to the command ship, follow the drone signal and collect 3 lock controls and bring them to the warehouse.
   
4. Maintain an energy balance of 10.000 in Wildwater Bay; time period is 15 minutes.
   
5. Attach a drone to the command ship and destroy 3 security submarines with the drone.
   
6. Maintain a production surplus of 15 androids in Wildwater Bay; time period is 15 minutes.
   
7. Load your vehicle with 100 fusion power cells from the spaceport and deliver them to Trenchcoat’s cargo ship.
   
8. Collect 1 warehouse key module with the vehicle and bring the load to the sunken building.

Tundra DLC (v 1.4)

How can I tell if I own the Tundra DLC?

There are several ways to find out if you own or activated the Tundra DLC:
The game shows you this information in the start menu and the strategy map . Additionally you can find a list of your games and DLCs in your steam library.

How can I download the Tundra DLC?

The Tundra DLC is part of the game since update 1.4. If you have an active internet connection and Steam is not in offline mode, Anno 2205 will update automatically the next time you start the game. That way the Tundra content will be downloaded as well.

Starting Sector: Is it possible to start a new game beginning in the Tundra sector?

No.
Only sectors of the temperate region can be used as start sectors. This means, you have to own a different sector, first and need to fulfill the necessary requirements to unlock Tundra afterwards.

Why don’t citizens offer quests anymore?

Citizens definitely still have assignments for you. It happens less frequently in the Tundra region, however. You’ll find the assignments in the quest-hubs, for example when an airplane or ship arrives at the harbor. Keep an eye on it, as the vehicles will leave the quest-hub after a few minutes.

Where are the Tundra modules and how can I use them?

The new Tundra modules will be unlocked through the new sector project. Depending on the module, they are available for the individual industry branches. After unlocking the new modules they are listed as options in the buildings’ menus.

I want to play the Tundra DLC, do I need a Season Pass?

There are different ways to play the Tundra DLC:
You can aquire each DLC seperately or get all DLCs via Season Pass.
The Season Pass includes all free updates and all DLCs (Tundra, Orbit, Frontiers).
Special versions like the Ultimate Edition of Anno 2205 contain the Season Pass and therefore all game extensions.

Steam: What should I pay attention to?

Steam users can acquire the Season Pass or the Tundra DLC separately, too.
It’s important to activate the displayed key on Uplay. To do that you just need to follow the instructions.

What is the story behind the Tundra sector?

Over one hundred years ago the Eden Initiative installed a Seed Vault in the region to preserve rare and diverse seeds. However, the vault wasn’t maintained properly and has since become inaccessible. Together with the researchers you’ll traverse the marshes to complete the sector project.

Veteran's Pack (v 1.5)

How can I access the Veteran’s Pack? I cannot find it anywhere.

Please make sure that your game is up to date. The VETERAN’S PACK is available with all versions (since 1.5). If you have an active internet connection and Steam is not in offline mode, Anno 2205 will update automatically the next time you start the game. This way the new version update will be downloaded as well.

Building Quick View: How can I find this?

Next to the minimap you will find a small house symbol. You can open a new menu if you click on it. All buildings are listed there. With just one click, you will jump to the according construction. If you have more than one building of the same kind, you will jump to all single constructions one by one with every additional click. That means you can rotate between the buildings.

Supply Stop: How does it work?

To block certain goods, click on a residence of the population level, and the specific good you want to adjust. If you hover over the specific good with your mouse a small pause or start symbol will appear. With one click you can either block or allow it. Goods, that are used from more than one civilisation level (e.g. Organic food) are blocked for all levels. If there is a shortage people will move out.

Do I need to upgrade my corporation to veteran difficulty?

No.
This is completely up to you. You decide on what difficulty level you want to play.
New features like building overview or logistic stop are available in every difficulty level.

Upgrade the current corporation to veteran mode: How does it work?

With the Veteran’s Pack it is possible to upgrade your old companies. Click on the symbol in the right top corner under your corporation logo. After that, you will see a screen where you can adjust all the settings. You are able to increase the difficulty by almost one level for example from advanced to expert.

Is my old corporation after the upgrade lost?

No, don’t worry.
As soon as you upgrade your corporation the game will create a backup.
You can find the backup in the corporation menu with the ending _1.5.
You can always play your old corporation with all the settings at any time.

I want to play the Veteran’s Pack. Do I need the Season Pass?

No, this content update is free for all players.
The Veteran’s Pack is after Wildwater Bay another free feature update. It is available for all players. It doesn’t matter what game version you have. You only need to update Anno 2205 at least to version 1.5 and you can start playing the Veteran’s Pack.

Why is the veteran statue not available in the construction menu?

To be able to build the veteran statue your corporation need to have 1.000.00 Investors (combined in all sectors) and you need to play on "Veteran" difficulty. Only then the statue will unlock. The statue is also only available for this corporation .
Each corporation needs to "earn" this statue seperately.

Big 5 Pack (v 1.6)

How can I access the BIG FIVE PACK? I cannot find it anywhere.

Please make sure that your game is up to date. The BIG FIVE PACK is available for free with all versions (since 1.6). If you have an active internet connection and Steam is not in offline mode, Anno 2205 will update automatically the next time you start the game. This way the new version update will be downloaded as well.

Why can’t I keep my recent difficulty? – Why am I being downgraded?

Since the BIG FIVE Update you should be able to maintain your difficulty through adjustments of the recently added difficulty settings. Out of balancing reasons in the past an automatic downgrade was necessary to implement the new features. You will of course keep all your achievements and buildings that refer to a certain difficulty.

How does the stock market work? – What can I win or lose?

Buying shares from your Rivals can let you participate in their Credit balance and help you dominate the five Industry branches – together with the production rate. Furthermore you gain different bonuses for the production of your Industry if you own holdings.

Do I have to start a new game to go to the stock market?

No.
The stock market is available to all from level 10 on.

Will my company be overwritten with entering the stock market?

No.
Before entering the stock market a save of your company will be created which can be loaded from the main menu. This way it is assured that your company can be loaded and played at all times.

How do I activate / deactivate the stock market?

You can activate the stock market any time after reaching corporation level 10. This will immediately grant you a large sum of credits and allows you to fight your rivals in economic warfare. But beware, they will also attack your corporation. Once on the stock market, you cannot pull out.

Do things happen in the stock market when I’m not in the stock market menu?

Yes.
All important stock market actions do happen in the questlist on the left side of the screen. You should absolutely keep an eye on that if you don’t want to miss anything.

Do I have to stay in the stock market menu when taking action on the stock market?

No.
The choice of the purchasable shares has to be made in the stock market menu. The following planning and execution of the auction appears on the left side of the screen and can be influenced from every sector of the game and the strategy map.

How do I make sure to not miss a stock market action?

All actions on the stock market are shown in the quest list. Keep an eye on that and you will never miss anything important. Additinonally your rivals will tell you when something happens to keep you updated.

What does „devaluate share“ mean?

The choice to devaluate share reduces the maximum amount of money your rivals are willing to invest during an auction.

How do I affect the stock market?

Your influence depends on three factors: Time, amount of own shares you own and company level. The higher the last two are the higher you have influence per hour.

Why do I have to spend money on my own shares? – I already own them...

When activating the stock market you get a certain amount of money which matches the value of your company. From that point on all free shares are on the market without an owner and can be purchased by any company.

What happens when I lose all my shares? – Can I lose sectors because of that?

Don't worry, you can’t lose your last share.

Orbit DLC (v 1.7)

How can I access the update and the ORBIT DLC? I cannot find it anywhere.

Please make sure that your game is up to date. Orbit is inlcuded since version 1.7. If you have an active internet connection and Steam is not in offline mode, Anno 2205 will update automatically the next time you start the game. The ORBIT DLC is part of the Season Pass and the DLC can be aquired seperately, too.

How can I get the new ornaments?

Special summer events are active for all players from 22 July to 14 August. In this time span you can unlock the new ornaments. The only condition is that wine is unlocked as a resource.

Can I have all the research active at the same time? If not, why not?

No, neither the maximum amount of expertise nor the maximum number of orbital workshops can be generated for this. The aim of Technology Nexus is to enable the player to select a maximum of two areas of specialisation, so players should experiment to find precisely the right combination for the company.

Do the technologies I have developed remain effective if I reconfigure my station and develop new technologies?

All Technologies require a certain amount of running workshops. Once the player destroys those workshops in order to restructure his station, all connected technologies will be deactivated as well.

How do I calibrate the temperature in Orbit?

Workshops and orbit modules generate heat which is distributed via the connecting pipes. The greater the distance away from the heat generators, the more heat will be circulated. The temperature in the individual workshops can be regulated using the grid settings and cooling modules.

Why do modules only supply workshops they are directly connected to?

We decided that workshops would only be supplied by modules in the event of an unimpeded connection between the two to increase complexity when building in Orbit. If the supply were to be consistent, the positioning of individual modules would be less crucial. In addition, this rule also ensures that free spaces are created when building the station. And we think the overall visual impression is nicer this way.

How does Geo-Engineering work?

The Geo-Engineering is a possibility to change active sector traits. The associated menu can be found by hitting the button next to the minimap icon. Using the Geo-Engineering will cost a certain amount of rare materials and credits. The assignation of new sector traits is random.

How do I start the "Lily Sculpture Quest"? It doesn't automatically appear in my game.

Look out for a transport ship owned by Nick Papadakis near to your cities at places where only the Orbital Watch submarines are lurking.

How do I acquire physicists, botanists and engineers in Orbit? There are no more of them around.

Astronauts are trained at the Biology, Physics and Engineering Institutes in the relevant regions. The more employees who live in the influence radius of the relevant institute, the greater the efficiency of the building, and the more astronauts will be sent to Orbit on the shuttle. Several training centres in a sector therefore increase the number of astronauts that can receive training.

Frontiers DLC (v 1.8)

How do I get the update and Frontiers DLC?

Please make sure that your game is up to date. The update is available with all versions (since 1.8). If you have an active internet connection and Steam is not in offline mode, Anno 2205 will update automatically the next time you start the game.

Is the Frontiers DLC part of the Season Pass?

Yes, the DLC is part of the Season Pass.
The Season Pass is also part of versions like the Ultimate Edition.
Therefore you automatically own all DLCs then. All you have to do is updating the game.

Can I acquire Frontiers DLC seprately?

Yes.
If you prefer to choose separate DLCs, you can just get the FRONTIERS DLC without the other DLCs. Players who own the Season Pass, or a version that includes the season pass, already own all available DLCs.

Can I deactivate enemy invasions?

When creating a new corporation, you can turn off the enemy invasions ingame.
In the advanced options of the difficulty settings you can modify 3 parameters.
1) There are four options for the enemy invasions: Off / Seldom / Regularly / Often.
2) You can choose the difficulty: Normal / Challenging / Deadly.
3) "Destroyable Fleet" determines whether destroyable ships will be replaced with ships without a rank.

What happens if I fail to prevent an enemy invasion?

As long as the invasion is active, you will suffer from several disadvantages.
You can't lose an invasion - the negative effect ends as soon as the invasion has been repelled, or the countdown has reached zero.

What is the role of the new faction of Synthetics? Are there any benefits?

Synths generate more workforce while using the same amount of space.
Therefore they are more efficient than all the other employees.

How can I deactivate automatic level-ups?

In the promotion menu, you can enable/disable the automatic promotions.
When disabled, you can promote your workers by using the promotion tool (arrow) manually, or the promotion menu. By the way: By pressing the "L" key you can toggle the info layer (e.g. the promotion arrows) on and off.

How does it work to reforest trees?

The reforestation is automatically activated. You can turn it on and off in the gameplay settings. When you cut down the trees in an area, but don't build anything there, the trees will grow back after some time.

How do I activate Frontiers for an old savegame?

When playing with an old save game, there will be an exclamation mark icon at the edge of the screen. By clicking on it you open the corporation update menu and can choose the difficulty settings for FRONTIERS.

How can I use the 3 new sectors, is it possible to select them as start sectors?

The Madrigal Islands and the Greentide Archipelago can be chosen as starting islands, because they are temperate sectors. The Savik Province is located in the Arctic and has to be made available during the game.
