Guide to keep attributes from armor or clothing in Oblivion

I understand that this game is old and may not matter anymore, but I just bought Oblivion to bring back the memories of playing it years ago, and I didnt see a guide on this so I decide to make a guide showing you how to do this. So say you find a armor or clothing that has a good attribute, but you don't really plan on keeping it well there is a way to keep the attribute such as 10 to Sneak for example. You can do this pretty much with any clothing, but in this video I will be using the Fin Gleam and Aegis of the Apocalypse as examples in this tutorial. After you do this though as I said it is forever bound to your character and the armor is no longer wearable. So I would personally sale it.

So to restate this works on pretty much any armor, rings, amulets, etc if its wearable its possible.

I did this on accident with the arena armor, I could go into the arena wearing anything and it counted as me still having the arena armor equipped. I was trying to get it to work again and couldn't figure it out, ty so much for making this guide man!!

@anithinks I believe so I haven't personally used unoffical patches but have used mods and worked just fine so im sure the patches shouldnt make a difference!

Yes! you are correct I just said armor or clothing since thats the main things you use in these games rings amulets pretty much anything you can wear that has a ability can be used in this way.

This also works on rings and amulets. If you have the ablility to create your own enchanted items you give yourself a lot of buffs.
