Orwell Achievements Guide [SPOILERS]

A guide for the achievements in the game Orwell.

Torture myself with whimsies

"Show the peaceful side"
Send Cassandra's advocation against violence from the Thought blog instead of her post about the bombing in Episode 1.

"See no crime in buying a bottle"
Do NOT report Cassandra's theft of Josef Langley's credit card to Orwell in Episode 1.

What delights me

"Know all favorites"
In Episode 2, send the information on all of Juliet Kerrington's favorites to Orwell (color, hobby, book, etc)

One can deny me

"Avert catastrophe"
Find the correct location of the bomb in Episode 2.
This entails two things:
-Being successful in the interrogation with Cassandra Watergate
-Sending the information to Orwell that the Cirlce Mall was to be bombed instead of the governmental building

To succeed in the interrogation of Cassandra, having ANY of the following information will help:
(Note: Reporting that her "best friend" is no longer her best friend and reporting that her parents may have had outside help with the criminal case may also help.)
-She tortured someone (Episode 2)
-Her Freedom Plaza post on her timeline (Episode 1)
-Her confession of guilt to assaulting the officer, WITHOUT Juliet's proclamation that it was in self-defence (Episode 1)
-Information that will lead to her being regarded as "potentially dangerous". This means you must report that she takes Metharin, and then report what the Metharin is for. On top of this, you must report that she hates the government, which is finded on her Timelines profile. (Episode 1)

Tear gates and walls apart

Allow for the Circle Mall to be bombed, which means you either fail the interrogation with Cassandra Watergate or give the wrong location.

Do not read any of Harrison's conflicting viewpoints in Episode 2 about the government.

Let Initiate hack the Party website and then check the website when he does hack it.

Have Nina Maternova killed by the intervention team. Reporting any of this information will lead to this (all found in the same episode):
-Reporting she is armed
-Reporting that she can have outbursts (in an email by Harrison)
-Reporting her body type
-Reporting that she has PTSD (In the medical notes)

Like nocturnal shadows

"Forgive a crime"
Allow Nina Maternova to escape in Episode 3.
This entails doing the following.
1. Not reporting about her violent outbursts
1a. Getting her address from her work page (could possibly not change anything)
2. Do not upload information about where her son is.
2a. Do not upload her body type (Possible)
3. Do not upload the fact that she has a gun
4. DO upload that she is exiting out the back door
5. Upload that she is using the emergency exit at the roadblock portion of the call

No hunter can shoot them

"Administer justice."
Capture Nina Maternova instead of having her killed or letting her escape. This requires a LOT of meticulous work.
I did my best to put it in the following order:
1. Do NOT report any information that leads Symes to know she has PTSD or has violent outbursts.
2. DO report that she has a son and that she will pick up her son at a certain location (during the call with Sylv)
3. Allow Initiate to hack the Party website.
4. During the call with Juliet, do NOT report that Nina is armed
5. Also during the call, report that she is going out the backdoor
6. During the call report, that Nina is going to pick up her son

The achievement should unlock when the report comes in from Symes that Nina has been hospitalized.

Complete Episode 3

Still always reticent

"Don't bother the law"
Do not arrest Josef Langley in Episode 4 by sending the information of his charity donations.

As it is suitable

"Make an unlawful arrest"
Have Josef Langley arrested in Episode 4, sending the information that he is donating to a friend instead of donating to charity.

In one's heart

"Pick up what was left behind"
Report Abraham Goldfels' previous family.

Always laugh and joke

"Win the war"
Gather the information on Initiate's timeline in this order.
Status -> Interest -> Getting into Rhosen -> IM contact info

Memory Hole

Complete Episode 4

2 + 2 = 5

"Make thought crimes"
Upload the data in Initiate's computer that Abraham wanted Thought to be a terrorist cell.

Investigate everything you can into Catherine Delacroix.
To get into Catherine's phone, do NOT access her computer at the start.
Go to the Stelligan page and research into it. You'll find Catherine's information on her party page.
Go to the party website and upload her phone number
When on Catherine's phone, upload anything that will end her career. This can be both "I control the TNB" and "The bombings were a blessing"

Thoughts are free

"Set Thought free"
Martyr yourself.
Get the info in Abraham's notes on his PC about there being a third human element, then go to the Orwell employee page and start to enter in the information about yourself.
The achievement will unlock after Orwell goes black.

Who can guess them?

"Find out who is there."
Find out Initiate's real name and identity.
Get the info that they worked for Rhosen Tech, and then send in the information on Rhosen's page.

All these are futile works

"End a career"
Discover that Abe created Orwell.
Find out from a message on Juliet's phone that Abe worked for Rhosen Tech, then go to the page on Rhosen about Abe. Upload the project that he worked on.
Then you will upload that demiurge was renamed to Orwell. It should be on the Thought page.

Thrown into the darkest dungeon

"Choose the simple answer"
Get Harrison arrested in Episode 5. You must find his correct hiding location.

Not alone with my glass

"Reunite a couple"
Do not arrest Josef Langley in Episode 4. Allow him to report on Thought.
In Episode 5, Cassandra Watergate will be released from custody.

For "No hunter can shoot them", you may also prevent the hacking by Initiate to receive the achievement.

You can still get "Torture myself with whimsies" if you report Cassandra's advocation for peacefulness if you report her taking the antidepressant (and probably a few other things, but I'm not entirely sure). You just have to give Symes info that will make him report her as having a "dangerous personality."

In "Renounce my sorrows", you must also use the Datachuch where it says she injured a Police Officer to protect Juliet and NOT in a rage
