Intro
The purpose of this guide is not really giving away all the maps before you find them (up to you, if you want to cheat that way....), but a different one: to examine a given map (one that you own), you have to bring up the inventory, choose 'items' and then select the desired map. That is very time consuming and uncomfortable. I thought that the fastest and easiest way to have the map on the screen (unless you have a multimonitor setup or you use a tablet or phone) is bringing up the steam overlay. In this guide, just click (or scroll to) the map you need, leave it there in your overlay, and go back to the game. Whenever you want to look at the map, just bring up the steam overlay and it will be where you left it without having to browse the whole in-game inventory.

EDIT::: looks like I didn't know you could bring up the map by pressing the 'M' key. I'll leave the rest of the guide untouched anyway. Maybe the feature was added with some update.

Side note: I noticed the game (at least on my computer) stops emitting part of the sounds (steps, wind, sword noises etc) when you use the overlay and go back to the game (unless you access the steam overlay while the game menu is up). If this happens, I was able to fix it by just hitting esc (or start on the controller) to bring up the menu and go back to the game --- voilà, all the sounds were back.

Tip: if you are using a steam controller, you can easily customize your grip buttons with esc and shift+tab (or start button for ESC, select button for shift+tab overlay). That way, you don't have to reach for your keyboard while playing. Grip button left: esc (brings up menu so the sounds don't mess up), grip button right: shift+tab. The map comes on screen in a fraction of a second without having to leave the controller. Want to go back? Again grip button left for 'esc' twice (exit the overlay and exit the menu to go back to the game).
Maps:
Below are the screenshots of the maps. They should be all (boss areas not included, but they don't have maps anyway). If you click on the image another window will open. If you click again on the image, a window with only the image will open. In that window you can click again to zoom in.

Set Maat

Valley of the Kings

Oasis of Shebet

Ok it will be ready in a few minutes. An alternative way to find the map easily is ctrl + f = search for the level name and it will pop instantly.

Thank you very much for making this available. As a player of this game on the Xbox One, where all the maps are BLANK, it's nice to know I can actually see what the game is supposed to be showing me.

Sorry! you are right, I fixed it now. It would have been a good idea to write where the area was leading and where the bosses were....but this was initially to overcome the inability to check the map in the game. Originally you had to go into the inventory and navigate some sections. It had been fixed later....it was not supposed to be a real 'guide' in that sense, I only wanted to have the maps handy (for me and for other players).
