Full reset troubleshoot guide

This is a guide to troubleshoot the full reset mod. If you use a pirated version of windows, or don't use a windows OS that is windows 7 or higher, then this guide won't help you. Nor can I help you. The BLT mod requires windows 7 or higher.

Pirated versions of windows cannot use the BLT mod due to the IPHLPAPI.DLL hook either being used by pirated versions of windows or that the IPHLPAPI.DLL hook is not configured for pirated versions of windows. The IPHLPAPI.dll hook is required for BLT. And the BLT mod is required for installing and using the full reset mod.

All of these steps have helped everyone except 2 people who used a pirated version of windows, and 1 who had a corrupted windows 10.

Steps without explanation (advanced users)

1. Make sure you installed the x86 VC redistributable that is required for BLT.
   
2. Make sure your graphic drivers are up-to-date.
   
3. Make sure you unzipped and installed the mod correctly.
   
4. Make sure PD2 and steam both have administrator access. And are on your anti-virus/firewall/windows defender exception lists.
   
5. Make sure the mods are working/installed in-game.
   
6. Make sure you actually do the reset after checking everything.
   
7. Make sure you DON'T load a backup save accidently.
   
8. Make sure to message a moderator and provide a screenshot for them.

1) Make sure you installed the x86 VC redistributable that is required for BLT.

Go to:

Scroll down to requirements. And make sure you download the x86 version of the 2013 Visual C++ Runtime.



After it is downloaded, install it. Read the link below to learn how to navigate to your downloads folder if you don't know how.

After you get there. Find the executable file called "vcredist_x86" You can do this quickly by pressing "v" on the keyboard.

Run and install it.

If you already have it, don't run it. Continue to the next step.

2) Make sure your graphic drivers are up-to-date.

Some users cannot start the game without having their drivers updated and have the BLT mod installed.

Manually check your dxdiag to find out which graphic card your PC is using:

3) Make sure you unzipped and installed the mod correctly.

First I'll walk through the download steps:

First BLT:
Go to https://paydaymods.com/download/

And hit download:


Then the full reset mod:
Go to https://www.dropbox.com/sh/lqmf1ajglq5h4xk/AACdcYaQyrTDS90nGGMWZnBRa?dl=0

Click on the drop down in the upper right:

Then click "direct download".

Then click "No thanks, continue to download":


If you have followed every step of the guide so far, you will have these 3 files:

Now to unzip them:

First right click one.

Then click "extract all"

Hit "extract"


This will open up a folder. Close it for now.

Now do this with the other folder you haven't unzipped yet.

Putting the full reset mod into the "mods" folder:

You should now have 2 new folders in your downloads folder:



Now. Open the new "16295_Full Clear Profile_1.0" folder. And copy the "full reset" folder.

Now open the "Payday2BLT_r11_r5" folder. Open the "Mods" folder. Paste the "full reset" folder here.

Installing the IPHLPAPI.DLL file and mods folder into your PD2 steam folder:

Now. To install this folder into your steam PD2 folder. Go to the "Payday2BLT_r11_r5" folder. Open it. And copy both the "IPHLPAPI.DLL" file and the "Mods" folder.

Go to your steam library. Right click PD2:

And click "properties."

Then go to the local files tab:

And click "browse local files."

Now. Paste both the "IPHLPAPI.DLL" file and the "Mods" folder here. In this location. If you are asked if you want to overwrite files. Click "YES."

Your PD2 folder should have these two files like this:



This should be all the steps required for installing BLT and the full reset mod correctly and unzipping it.

4) Make sure PD2 and steam both have administrator access. And are on your anti-virus/firewall/windows defender exception lists.

Making sure PD2/Steam are on exception lists for firewall/anti-virus and windows defender:

This is a bit more complicated and depends more on which anti-virus software you use. I ask that you google and learn how to do this on your own for your own anti-virus.

It is a bit different for the firewall, since I couldn't find a microsoft guide. But you'd want to do the same thing except add "steam" and "Payday 2" both to it instead of "mozilla firefox."
