I always wanted to be able to have more than one galaxy in the game. So I made this using the Stellaris Galaxy Generator by Retalyx. This is a slightly differently version to my other Two Galaxies mod. For those that have already read the description of the other mod, no need to read the below. The only major difference here is the presence of extra-galatic nebula (which is scientifically accurate in that whilst galaxies appear to be a certain shape to the human eye, they actually are many times much larger than they appear through various gases expanding well outside their visible outer ring), the star number (1000 for each galaxy), the Empire spawn numbers are now 39 max instead of 31, and that each galaxy is a spiral galaxy (one two arms, the other four), though this isn't entirely easy to see visually from a distance, due to having to have stars so close to one another to fit in the map size (it still plays a major role in Hyperlanes though).

I recommend my Two Galaxies mod instead if you find that this mod lags on you, as that one has no massive galaxy sized nebula, and has less stars.

------------------------

The map is a static "galaxy", with two major clusters of stars, each numbering in and around 1000 stars. There exists no hyperlanes between the two galaxies. I've designed the mod to have inter-galactic warfare be an end game thing, requiring either the Jump Drive or Psi Jump Drive in order to cross the vast distance between the two galaxies.

In order to set it up how I wanted it to, I had to extend each Jump Drive's range to a multiplier of 7.0 Obviously this would make it very unbalanced, so I changed both drives to work like warp drives, but with much faster travel (6 times faster than warp 1), and much larger range, but not instantaneous like default jump drives. If you're using wormhole technology, you'll probably only want to use jump drives for traveling between galaxies.

------------------------

if anyone knows how to get rid of the galaxy center graphic, I would like to hear it, thanks. Also if anyone knows how to expand the map height and width beyond the 1000 limit please let me know and I will completely rework this mod to include numerous galaxies.

------------------------

Map width and height = 1000
Number of galaxies = 2
Combined star count = 2000
Random or Static systems = Static location, random contents
Nebula = Extra-galatic nebula to represent realistic sizes for galaxies beyond the visually apparent borders (stars) and to slow down travel speeds between galaxies

Designed to be played with a maximum of 31 empires but I have added a few more spawn points to bump it up to 39. I recommend using a mod that adds more pre-ftl species to the game to make the galaxies more emergent, and to use a mod that allows jump drives/psi drives to be researched no matter what FTL you're using.

updated?

Sadly the tool I used to make these map mods has not been updated in a long time, and as such the maps it produces come with a plethora of bugs that I am not personally willing to put in the time to solve, though if anyone else is willing to solve them and publish their own mod I fully endorse it.

Any chance of an update to the latest version? Says this is for 1.2...

Idk if it's me.But when i click on a certain start system my game crashes.also the same thing happens when i try to edit certain parts of my empire

Will do. I'll double-check my mods and see which ones alter AI. Might narrow something down.

I think when I generated this map, the editor may have messed up a few of the files (things like system naming etc). I'll be updating it tomorrow. Until then, installing one of my other mods like Big Spiral Galaxy along side had's Insane Galaxy mod (http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=681933510&searchtext=insane+maps) seems to solve this problem.

Still haven't figured out what might be causing the no empires expanding issue.

No idea which it could be. Multi galaxy works.

Might be another mod causing that problem. I've never encountered that issue with any of my map mods so far.

Alright, so, all the other empires in my game are not attempting to colonize elsewhere in the galaxies. They have fleets built up, but they aren't going anywhere, even when I'm not near them.
