The ultimate guide on how and when to teabag in Dead By Daylight.

What is a TeaBag?

A TeaBag is the ultimate insult to your enemy. It's the motion of crouching and planting your groin as low to the ground as possible (dragging is optional, so is pelvic thrusting), then swiftly bringing it back up to standing posture. This move is repeated continuously for aslong as the individual wishes.

How do I TeaBag?

In order to TeaBag, you must press and release your keyboards Ctrl button in quick succession, creating an undulating motion of your character.

There isn't just one sole method of Tea Bagging however, behold, there is many.

The Basic Bag

This is the basic method. Simply crouch and stand back up again. Nice and easy. Usually applied after the Killer does something stupid, or at the Exit Gates/Hatch before leaving.

The Infinity Bag

This advanced method can only be done on an infinite like the combine harvester. To do it, you get the killer to chase you, hop over, then as he attempts to climb after you, TeaBag repeatedly, before running around and doing another loop.

The Basement Bag

This is another advanced, AND deadly variation of the Basic Bag. It requires you to head to the basement and TeaBag near the hooks. It is deadly because if caught by the killer, you're very likely to take a hit, and ensure a chase.

The Co-Op Bag

This method requires one or more fellow survivors to complete. You simply TeaBag together. This act of bagging is often done at the end of a round, once the exit gates are powered and you're ready to leave. The same principles as the Basic Bag apply.

The Pallet Bag

This fun little trick is done right after pulling a pallet on the Killer. Stunning him isn't required, but it will purchase you additional TeaBag time to mock the Killer. As soon as he starts destroying the pallet, sprint to safety.

The Window Bag

This baggin' method is a beginners one. Just TeaBag by a window or Jungle Gym. For best results lure a killer.

The Drop Bag

Australia has Drop Bears, Dead By Daylight has Drop Baggers.
This is usually done after a chase from a window, or hole in the flooring. To do this, lure a Killer, drop down (letting your loins feel the soft, cool air) and quickly bag the ground after your short stun wears off, before making your escape.

The Open Bag

The Open Bag is just like the Basic Bag in design, but as dangerous (depending on the Killer) as the Basement Bag. It requires you to go out into the open and TeaBag the Killer chasing you. Stick near atleast one generator or form of cover if you're facing a Hillbilly. That chainsaw will cut short your Bagging days and we can't have that.

The Blind Bag

This method of bagging serves two purposes, for you, and for the rest of the survivors. First you flash your light at the Killer (Sports Light, Odd Bulb, and other rare add ons work best) while you're teabagging.


The last thing the Killer see's as you burn his retinas is the calming allure of a good old Teabag.
You can use this to blind a Killer when cornered and cheekily escape, or you can do this to buy teammates time for unhooking another.

The Hill Bag

The Hill Bag is another bag method that can be useful for providing a distraction for team mates (hooked, down or injured). You simply head to a hill, and bag wildly. Should the Killer see you, they'll no doubt think you're a bit of easy prey, and give chase. Allowing you to lure him away and net some points too.

The Blood Bag

The Blood Bag is an act of defiance to a Killer when you're already hit and have NO way out of the situation. You must be bleeding (hence the already hit, and the name "Blood Bag") and then give short burts of bagging while remaining still. Your final act in your life to the Killer and it's Entity? A powerful, triumphant Teabag, in the face of danger as a chainsaw or sharp/heavy weapon makes contact with your squishy, frail body. Actions do indeed speak louder than words.

The Hatch Bag

The Hatch Bag is done when you're either the last alive or when the black lock has been opened and the hatch is ready to be used. You can combine this bag with others to a great deal of variety. You could Co-Op bag, Basic Bag and Blood Bag (Injured survivor) all in one!

You and your team mates (if any are alive) just need to head there, lure the Killer, bag and escape.
Be quick and careful though. As the Killer CAN grab you, and you CAN fall into beartraps below the lid.

Where shouldn't I TeaBag?

While there are many good spots to flex your loins and provide some relief, there are also places where you shouldn't bag.

• Bear Traps
  
• Under Hooked Survivors
  
• Directly infront of Killers (without cover)

Bear Traps

This is self explanatory. Bagging here will get you and your knackers both in a sticky mess. It also has the potential to get you placed on a hook by the Killer.

Under Hooked Survivors

Remember, it isn't polite to TeaBag your own friends, especially hooked ones! So don't bag here, save them, and Co-Op bag the killer together, because that's what friendships ALL about.

Directly infront of Killers

This also doesn't need explaining. It is VERY deadly and risky without cover. Nearby cover only negates the risk ever so slightly. It isn't worth it unless you're providing a distraction and baiting the Killer while your team mates either pop gens or rescue someone.

Why is it important?

The act of Tea-Bagging is very important for several reasons.

First off, it builds comradery between you and the other survivors, letting you bond over your mutual passion for tapping your nether regions against the cold hard ground for the purpose of aggravating the Killer.

It can also annoy the Killer, and make them play worse, or deliberately target the bagger(s), making them waste precious time on a wild goose chase while generators are popped, leading to your escape from it's clutches. If done correctly, it can make the Killer waste a Ivory Memento Mori or one of their kills from the much rarer, Ebony Memento Mori. Either way, you've irked them enough for them to maim you out in the open.



You may have died, but you'll be remembered and go down in TeaBag history.
