100% Achievements Walkthrough - Episode 1

A complete step-by-step spoiler free walkthrough & achievements guide..

In order to achieve 100% you must finish EPISODE 1 twice. But it's also possible to complete it in one playthrough and replay it once more to unlock few more achievements without having to completely finish it. It's not really a big deal, because the episode is way shorter than you think. My first playthrough took me a little over an hour and the second took me 17 minutes!
I decided to write a complete walkthrough because I faced some difficulties which I'm sure others came across/ will come across as well, including all the achievements.
Some achievements can be easily missed so a certain order is sometimes necessary so I'm going to follow the order I went with and try to keep the guide as short as possible and spoiler free.

　　✾ Make sure to interact with EVERY lamp and painting in the house.
　　✾ Multiple choice actions will unlock only one of two achievements. You can unlock both
　　 in separate playthroughs, or save/ reload and unlock both.
　　✾ Do NOT skip cutscenes for the COMICON achievement.

You start in Amber's bedroom. Click on the drawer under the bed and take the Battery. Inspect the lamp on the desk, paintings on the wall, the radio, book etc.. Open the drawer and take the Broken Magnifier. Take the Glasses on the cardbox then talk to Millie. Enter the closet and talk to Ted he will ask you to find his magnifier. Take the Super Glue from the desk and on't forget to inspect the lamp on the desk as well as the one on the ceiling. Click on the record player.
Click on the record player again.
Inspect items in the closet, click on the toy box on the right.
Open your inventory and use the Swiss Army Knife to break the glasses, use the super glue on the broken magnifier, and combine it with the Lense to get the Magnifier.
Give Ted the magnifier and he will accompany you. Talk to Ted.
Exit the room through the door on the right "Hallway West". Inspect the lamps and paintings. Try to open both doors. Move the cursor to the bottom of the screen and head to the "Hallway East".
Talk to Rusty, ask him about the "Red Man"
Go through all dialogue prompts. Enter the office to the right. Inspect the lamps and paintings until an audio recording plays (LOL)
Click on Anubis' Statue. Click on the Globe on the desk.
Try to take the key. Open the cabinet to the left and take Flashlight (missing a battery). Leave the study and talk to Rusty. Go to the Hallway West then back to Rusty and talk to him.
Head back to Ted's Office and take the Credentials from the file cabinet and give it to Rusty. Now combine the Batteries with the Flashlight.
Leave the Study and try to enter the parents room. Head back to the bathroom. Pick up the Duster and don't forget to inspect the paintings! Go back to the study and use the Duster on the Hole in the wall.

You are now in Flint's room. Take the Level 6 Sword from the closet, inspect the lamp and paintings. Talk to the Mugshot Brothers. They give you a Key. Use the knife on the fort rope and pick up the Red Cloth. Go back to the parents bedroom and use the key to unlock the door.
click on the camera to get Film Strip, inspect the lamps and paintings!
Enter the dark room on the left. Pick up the Duct Tape. Inspect the lights!
Pick up the Latent Image next to the Film Enlarger. Use the filmstrip from your inventory on the film enlarger then add the Latent Image. Use the safe 107 to get Developping Liquids bottles, pour them in the containers and use the Latent Image on them.
Go to Amber's room. (Two options! You can save here or get the other on second playthrough)

Attack
Inspect Millie's body.

Escape
Give Millie the red cloth.
Pick up the Nail on the floor and take the Wooden board in the window. Go back to the Hallway and use the nail on the clock. Take the Hook Thingy and combine it with the Wooden Board to get a Flimsy Attic Hook. Now combine it with the Duct tape and use it on the Attic door.

(The achievement will pop up sometime during the chapter 3)
You are now at the attic, pick up the Candle on the floor. Talk to the Policeman Brian. After the cutscene give the Clearance to the Mugshot Brothers. Give them the Creator's Tools.
WhiLe you're at the study, use the Attic Hook to grab the Key. Go back to the Attic and use it to unlock the roll top desk and take the Vial Ink.
Open your inventory and use the Knife on the Candle, combine Ink with the Stamp and Wet Stamp with the Signed Clearance.
Give the Clearance to Brian and go to the city.

Extra Achievements

On the second Playthrough you need to finish ONLY EPISODE 1 in less than 1 hour. Don't stress, it is really short especially that now you know what you need to do. These achievements were originally made for episode 1. Which means you only need to replay the first episode, not the entire game. Here are some tips to help you:
　　✾ Only collect items you need.
　　✾ Double click on doors to fast travel.
　　✾ Skip dialogues and cutscenes.
　　✾ Once you and Teddy leave the bedroom (ch1), do not interact with him the entire game.
　　✾ Do not save your game.

Nice guide. Most of the tasks/puzzles are not that difficult to complete but It helped me through a couple of sticky spots like gaining access to the attic and forging the document. I'm sure the other guides will be equally useful when I get around to purchasing the remaining chapters.

I've got every single achievement except for the last 2, there are 75, I have 73, I've played every single episode (1-3) twice or more times using the walk through but there is no way that I've found to unlock the other hidden achievement. It will not give me true detective without it, do you have any idea what I could be missing? Is it a new achievement? I have every achievement you've listed except true detective. I've triple checked, I'm still missing two.

The only glasses i saw were from Millie and there was no option to obtain them from her..

Awesome guide! Helped a lot with achievements I was missing. Some still won't work no matter how i try though. And really simple ones sometimes like the Dynamic Duo which is really straightforward. Oh well, it was still fun and your guide very helpful
