"Universal" solution if Real Tone Cable-Driver doesn't work on Windows 10 [GER/ENG]

First of all:

Yes, we all know Windows 10 is a mess. Maybe some of you will already think: "Wtf is this sh*t? Windows Vista 2.0?"
Ah yes, yes. Remember the times where you plug something in your computer and it would work just fine?
The good ol' Windows 7 times. Anyways, you are not here for nostalgic reasons right? So lets get started, shall we?
Make sure your guitar is not plugged in while installing the driver, it might cause errors. Now you are ready to start!
(p.s: Since I am a native german-speaker, there may are some details lost in translation. Sorry for that.)

Ja wir wissens, Windows 10 ist das reinste Chaos. Mancher von euch wir denken: "Was ist dieser scheiß? Windows Vista 2.0?"
Hach ja. Erinnert ihr euch an die Zeit, wo ihr etwas an euren computer steckt und es funktionierte einfach tadellos?
Die gute alte Windows 7 Zeit. Nun denn, ihr seid nicht hier aus nostalgischen gründen richtig? Also lasst uns loslegen.
Vergewissere dich dass deine Gitarre nicht am Kable angeschlossen ist wenn du den Treiber installierst.
Das könnte Fehler verursachen. Jetzt bist du bereit loszulegen!

STEPS:

1. Press: Win + R
   
2. Type: mmc devmgmt.msc, click ok.
   
3. Open the first 4 tabs and look for Rocksmith USB Guitar Adapter.
   (It may has something like a warning sign displayed in the icon)
   
4. Right click on it>properties>go to driver>update driver>search on pc for driver.
   
5. Click on "Select from a list of device drivers on my computer" (That box underneath with the arrow)
   
6. Search for the driver: USB-Audiodevice, click on continue and it should install the driver.

If the cable still doesn't work, you may want to use it to strangle Ubisoft-Employees with it. :P
Don't forget to shave your hair and tattoo a barcode on the back of your head!

SCHRITTE:

1. Drücke: Win + R
   
2. Tippe: mmc devmgmt.msc, klick auf ja.
   
3. Öffne die ersten 4 Reiter und suche nach Rocksmith USB Guitar Adapter.
   (Vermutlich hat es sowas wie ein Warnschild im Icon)
   
4. Rechtsklick>Eigenschaften>Treiber>Treiber aktualisieren>Auf dem Computer nach Treibersoftware suchen.
   
5. Klick auf: "Aus einer Liste von Gäretetreibern auf dem Computer auswählen" (Die untere Box)
   
6. Suche nach dem Treiber: USB-Audiogerät, klicke auf weiter und nun sollte sich der Treiber installieren.

Sollte der Kabel immer noch nicht funktionieren kannst du ihn dafür verwenden Ubisoft-Mitarbeiter zu strangulieren. :P Vergiss dabei nicht deinen Kopf zu rasieren und dir einen Barcode auf den Hinterkopf zu tätowieren! Ich hoffe jedenfalls ich konnte irgendwie behilflich sein.

Vielen herzlichen Dank für diesen Tipp. Der hat mich davor bewahrt nochmal einen USB-Adapter zu kaufen, weil der damals mitgelieferte nur auf der PS3 geht und nicht aber auf dem PC.

Lot of us have a hiqh quality audio interface with input for electric guitar, bass or mike.
NoCableLauncher will work nicely then.

Another suggestion is to enable "Allow apps to access your microphone" in Settings->Privacy->Microphone

I'm guessing this guide is for the home edition. (Whether it's the Home or Pro edition can determine if something can run or not in a couple of cases.)

It boils down to this... Window 10 doesn't load and update the driver properly when you plug the cable in. The cable "just works" the first time you plug it into Linux or a Playstation. It "just works" on Mac too, if I remember right.

So it's frustrating to have a cable that you *know* works, because it works *every-where*, but just not on Windows 10. The issue is Windows 10, plain and simple.

I really don't understand why all ppl are so frustrated about Win10. I never had issues until now and I'm using it since release. Even USB devices work perfectly fine after plugging them in. May the issue is not Win10, may it is an error 40 (Insider).
