Defiance is not running but steam says it is

This is a problem I came in contact with and had to look online for a solution because I wasn't thinking properly.
what was happening was Defiance was running but yet I could not see it.

I would open task manager and look but no Defiance. Because of this steam couldn't be shut down nor could I uninstall the game.
What I found out was you need to bring up task manager Alt+Ctr+Del or right click on the Start bar Select Start Task Manager and look for anything pertaining to Glyph the company that is owned by Trion worlds...

long story short if you look for GlyphclientApp.exe *32 and shut it down that should fix all your Problems.

Simple Yet was Confused

i was trying to load Defiance one day but found that it would not load kept saying that it was already playing although i had closed it the day before. what i had found was that the Glyph Client app was some how still running in the back ground and hadnt shut down when i exited Defiance so this is just a simple help if somebody needs it. ;-0


















So Apperently all you have to do is look for Glyph Client App

I found checking registry editor and checking the games X Y client, when this was happening the decimals didn't match, so the game is running but not in a viewable window.
