How To: Add Decals To Cars

If you're new to the game and want to add sponsors to your car, or add the Angry Bird to your car (which I don't see why they added it as it's kind of lame in my opinion), then you may need this for reference.

Step One: Buying Decals

So the first step of adding decals to your car, is to buy them. The quality may vary based on your graphics settings (mine personally look like crap because my computer runs like crap). Anyway, go to the Catalog and go to "Decals".



When you find the decal you want to place on your car, click on it and buy it. You get 5 decals for $20 (or 1 for $4).



Once you've bought your awesome decal that you want (or created but I'll make another guide for that), go to the "Paint Booth" by clicking the paint icon in the top right corner.

Step Two: Applying Decals

Now that we have our decal bought and are in the Paint Booth, what do we do? Where do we go? I know exactly how you feel since I had 2.3.0 and this is brand new to the Steam release...

What you want to do is find your decal in the parts bar at the bottom, and click it.



Once you've clicked the decal on the bar, hover the mouse over the car and your decal should show up.



And as you can see, on each side there are controls to make it larger, smaller, rotated, and flipped. For now, all you want to do is keep the camera level with the car so the decal doesn't stretch out weirdly (that's what it does if you allow it to become rotated sideways), and click on the car to apply the decal. Now if you're playing on low graphics settings like me, it'll look like you took a picture of it with a low quality camera and then did that over and over, but if you're on high graphics quality, it should look nice.

A: No, as of currently, you cannot copy the design exactly to the other side. B: There is a folder labeled "decals" in the game files, place a picture in there but make sure it's the same size as the other game decals or it might not work.
