Winter Solstice Achievement

For those who just found out there was an hidden achievement named 'Winter Solstice'

Introduction

Winter Solstice is a new achievement which been added to the Enhanced Edition. Marked as hidden, many players didn't notice it and don't know how to unlock it.

This guide is similar to 'Summer Solstice Achievement'. Feel free to read it.

Before launching the game

1) Download that save

If link doesn't work, leave a comment and I'll re-upload it.

2) Follow this path on your files :
Steam\userdata\(your account number)\20920\remote
Then copy-paste all your saves on another file and copy-paste my save AND the picture ( necessary ).

3) Go to your Steam settings and switch off the Steam cloud.

In game steps

4) Launch the game and use my save.

5) You will arrive at the beginning of Act 3, Iorveth path. Just go on your right, and at the top you will find a book. Take it and normally you should be able to use the action key and achievement should be unlocked.

I just used it to 'travel' to Act 3 without making a new game.

For me I had to import the file and restart Steam completely to make the savegame working.

As stated below, the key appears to be to rename the file with a number somewhere in between your first and last save. Would not work until I deleted one of my saves and renamed this manual save with that number.

Thank you. It still works. Only I had to rename my file to basically something in between for amount of saves and then restart steam. Worked like a charm. You're awesome.
