Here's a fact, you don't need to destroy the Metal Sonic Holograms to get the good future, you can just destroy the Robot Transporters to get the good futures. Here's another fact, you NEED to destroy all of the holograms and transporters BEFORE you get the 7th Time Stone (because if you get the 7th stone before you make all the holograms and transporters go boom boom, then it'll destroy all the holograms and transporters. So getting the 7th Time Stone won't count to the Savior of the Planet acheivement in order to get Savior of the Planet.
