Ritual Riddle Guide

A quick and dirty guide to the riddles you find described at the end of World 9. You ought to try them out yourself first, and consider this guide when you start banging your head against your keyboard.

The Riddles

Note: All levels pertaining to the riddles have a giant cube near the spawn. Once you complete a ritual, you can shoot a fireball at these blocks to reveal secret levels.

I start each section with what level it is in under one spoiler. And then how to do it on the next spoiler. You can reveal them at your own pace.

Riddle 1:
THIN LINE HIGH ABOVE,
AWAITS ITS LAST PERFORMER TO DANCE,
SIX MOVES BEFORE ENCORE.

Thin line denotes level 67, The Walk.

While on the thin beam, jump and spin 6 times triggering a Ballerina x6 to show up on the screen. Then complete the level in time.

Riddle 2:
TOWER SPOKE IN TONGUES,
OLD GHOSTS SHOULD BE LEFT AT PEACE,
YET TRIAL MUST FALL.

The tower spoke in tongues refers to the Tower of Babel and thus level 24, Babel.

This level has ghost platforms. Don't wake them up! Use instead the pillars along the outside to reach the portal.

Riddle 3:
LONG FIRE CORRIDOR,
SWIMMING AROUND TORPEDOES,
UNTIL VERY END.

The long corridor of fire is in level 10, CHARGE.

In SEUM, if you shake the mouse left and right, mimicking the swimming motion of a salmon a little swimming animation will play. Get through the fireballs while swimming.

Riddle 4:
GIANT MONOLITH CUBE,
BREAKS APART ONLY WITH MIND,
SICTY-SIX PASSAGE GRANT.

The giant monolithic cube is the one located in level B8, Firecraft.

In SEUM, if you shake the mouse up and down you will perform a headbang. Not only is this totally rad, it shoots a fireball downwards at your feet. Use these fireballs from your head to break a bunch of the blocks. I recommend just going to the top of the cube so there's a lot of them at your feet. Just break them with headbanging until he says "Ritual complete".

Riddle 5:
WHERE BUNNIES JUMP ON,
MARK EACH WITH HORNS OFF(sic.) DEVIL,
BEFORE YOU GROW OLD.

The bunnies represents the level you bunnyhop across towers. Level 13, Jumping Jacks.

Each time you land on a tower throw out a hand gesture. Make sure you actually land on the tower before doing it for it to count. Then beat the level in time.

Riddle 6.
LONGEST PATH TO TRAVEL,
RITUAL BLOOD SHROUD SECOND,
STAND FULLY IN RED.

I'll admit I don't really understand this one. I got it by randomly playing around. The longest path refers to level 31, The Long Road.

Just... jump to that first platform before the one with the powerup. Once on it, headbang a bit then press your retry level key. Do it again two more times and he should say "Ritual complete". Yeah, I dunno.

Riddle 7.
RODENTS ARE TESTED,
WILL THEY PREVAIL IF THEY CAN
NOT NAVIGATE FORWARD?

The tested rodents here refer to level 41, Lab Rat.

Complete the level without moving forward. Turn around and beat it backwards!

Riddle 8.
EIGHT LEGS, MANY EYES,
PARALYSIS SETS, YOU CAN'T MOVE,
YET YOU MUST ESCAPE.

Eight legs and many eyes refers to level 66, Spider.

Paralysis sets, you can't move is very literal. Beat the level without pressing a movement key. Remember, you can pick up the powerup without moving by shooting a fireball at it. From there, teleport your way to victory.

That's all the riddles. After you complete them, give the secret levels hidden in the big cubes a try. Have fun.

For Riddle 5, All you need to do is to do the Hand Gesture ('G') only on the last platform (the one with the end portal)!

for ritual 6 you just nedd to get pool of blood by restarting, nothing else

For ritual 6, you need to create a pool of blood on the second platform by restarting on it, then I shot a fireball at it and it seemed to work

For ritual 6 you have to cover the second platform with blood by pressing R while on it.
