Artillery in Short
The artillery is support tool that can be used in both offensive and defensive ways by officer as long as he has a radist within approximate 2m range. The artillery offers 2 options, explosive and smoke rounds which have their own ideal uses and limitations.
Using Artillery
To use artillery, officer must have radist nearby and aim at the wanted target. To achieve best results, aiming down sights should be used to target the wanted position. The target is determined by line of sight to the first visible surface. Once you have acquired the wanted target, open the radial menu and click twice to show the artillery options and radio request option. Select the wanted artillery type and click to request the barrage. However, both explosive and smoke artillery can and should be bound to separate keys in the settings to speed up the process.
Timeline of the Barrage
The artillery has 75 second cooldown that is shared by the rounds but not by the officers, meaning that each officer can request one barrage every 75 seconds.

0 sec The barrage is called.
5 sec The barrage is fired, giving audio cue.
15 sec The first round hits target area.
30 sec The last round hits target area.
75 sec The artillery is off cooldown and can be requested again.

tactics- explosive:
the explosive charges are good for breakthrough operations.
they are setted in front or behind the enemy, to cut their reinforcements down.
Best way is to use them with heavy machinegun support to get the enemy unable to shoot and force them to wait.
The next step is to take the opportunity and try an attack (flanking can used as option).

tactics- smoke:
smoke is a support tool to cut enemy viewrange down.
there are a few ways to use it.
1) use it in front of you or the enemy point to get the avaiability to push to a specific position
2) use it to recover and get out of situations you cannot win.
3) ...

tactics- white phosporus (atm only british):
phosphorus is a rain out of fire to get your enemy in mood to die.
Its a hellish tool with the biggest psychological effect.
It should be used in situations where your enemy has entrenched in some areas
and you cannot get to him without big loses.
So force him to leave his position.

But what about phosphorus for the British

I use V for explosive arty, and B for smoke. It's nice and fast, I look down the ironsights, V, and duck before I get sniped.
