Nuclear Throne Achievements Walkthrough (SPOILERS)

This guide will inform you what each achievement requires to be unlocked and how to go about meeting those requirements. Contains Spoilers.

Things You Might Need To Know

Here are some things about the game you might need to know.

Looping

Looping is an action in the game that takes you back to the start of the game with loop-exclusive content. To loop, you must reach the Throne Room (7-3) and initiate the boss battle. There should be four generators, two on each side wall. Before you defeat the boss, destroy each generator. Then, a large portal will open up when you defeat the boss. From here, just progress like you would normally.

Crowns, Proto Statues, and Crown Vaults

What are these things and where can I find them? Crowns are modifiers to the game that can be found in Crown Vaults, one selection of crowns being found only before loop, another only after loop. Crown Vaults are accessed by properly using a Proto Statue. Proto Statues are grey/brown statues in a diamond-shape. They are found in 3-2 (Scrapyards 2) and 5-2 (Frozen City 2) always. On loop, however, they can be found at both of these areas AND 1-2 (Desert 2) and 7-2 (Palace 2).

How do I get into these Crown Vaults? Well, first you must damage the Proto Statue enough so that the middle of the statue pops out. Then, kill enough enemies around it to feed it Rads. Once fed enough rads, the Proto Statue will have a big, green ball of energy in the center of it. Destroy the Proto Statue and you will be sucked into the Crown Vault, where you can choose your Crown.

To unlock starting crowns, just complete the game or loop with them.

Proto Chests

Proto Chests are a way of storing weapons that carry over to the next run/playthrough. You can find a Proto Chest in a Crown Vault if you have a Crown already.

Golden Weapons

Golden Weapons are like normal weapons except with a small buff, like faster reload time or extra bullets per shot. They can be unlocked by holding onto them into the next area and can be found either in Golden Weapon Chests in Y.V.'s Mansion or by random post-loop drops.

Cursed Weapons

Cursed Weapons are weapons that can't be switched out unless looped with. They are found in Cursed Weapon Chests, which only spawn if you have a Crown with you.

IDPD Headquarters

IDPD Headquarters is a secret area that can be accessed by pressing "E" on an IDPD Van with it's lights still flashing. IDPD Vans are only encountered on loop.

Hard Mode

Hard Mode is a very difficult mode unlocked by looping twice in one run.

Character Unlocks

The table below will describe how to unlock each Character, thus unlocking each Character Achievement. For B-Skins, visit the next section.

Achievement	Method
Melting Unlocked	Melting is unlocked by dying. Just start a run up and go as far as you can without triggering one of the endings.
Eyes Unlocked	Eyes is unlocked by reaching 2-1 or The Sewers. This is the area right after The Desert.
Plant Unlocked	Plant is unlocked by reaching 3-1 or The Scrapyard. This is the area right after The Sewers.
Y.V. Unlocked	Y.V. is unlocked by reaching 3-? or Y.V.'s Mansion. To reach this area, bring a Screwdriver to the Scrapyard, specifically 3-1. After searching around, you should find a car with a unique golden outline. Give that car a smack with the screwdriver and press "E" on the car to hop in.
Robot Unlocked	Robot is unlocked by reaching 5-1 or The Frozen City. This is the area right after Crystal Caves.
Chicken Unlocked	Chicken is unlocked by reaching 5-? or The Jungle. To reach this area, take the Mutation called "Last Wish" (it looks like Fish praying) and get to The Frozen City or 5-1. After searching around, you should find a big flower. You must press "E" on the flower four times, each time feeding it 1 HP. This will open a portal and take you to The Jungle
Steroids Unlocked	Steroids is unlocked by reaching 6-1 or The Labs. This is the area right after The Frozen City.
Rebel Unlocked	Rebel is unlocked by looping and killing Throne II.
Horror Unlocked	Horror is unlocked by killing hostile Horror. To encouter this creature, you have to skip two consecutive Radiation Canisters. Then, you will fight a challenging enemy called Horror.
Rogue Unlocked	Rogue is unlocked by sitting on the Throne. To do this, just reach the Nuclear Throne and finish the battle without looping. Then, set that butt on the throne.
Frog Zone	Frog Zone is unlocked by playing as Frog. Damage Mom, the loop Boss of the Sewers, with a Golden Weapon and keep it in your inventory. When Mom dies, she should drop a Frog Pistol. Take that Frog Pistol and put it in a Proto Chest. When you come back to the Proto Chest on a different run, it will be a Golden Frog Pistol. Now, whenever you play a run with the Golden Frog Pistol selected, you will play as Frog.

B Skins

The table below will explain how to unlock each B-Skin achievement.

Achievement	Method
Fish Can Roll	Fish Can Roll is unlocked by unlocking Fish's B Skin. To do this, you must loop as every character besides the two secret characters.
Crystal Can Shield	Crystal Can Shield is unlocked by unlocking Crystal's B Skin. To do this, you must reach 4-? or the Cursed Crystal Caves as Crystal. To reach this area, you much bring a Cursed Weapon to the Crystal Caves.
Everything Hurts	Everything Hurts is unlocked by unlocking Melting's B Skin. To do this, you must finish the Throne boss battle as Melting without taking Strong Spirit (the mutation with a halo) or Rhino Skin.
MMMMMMHMMM!	MMMMMMHMMM! is unlocked by unlocking Eyes' B Skin. To do this, you must reach 2-? or the Pizza Sewers as Eyes. To do this, bring an explosive weapon to The Sewers or find on there. There should be a Sewer Grate or Manhole on the ground. Blow that sucker up and you'll be sucked right into the Pizza Sewers.
Blood Blood Blood	Blood Blood Blood is unlocked by unlocking Plant's B Skin. To do this, you must defeat the Throne boss in under 10 minutes. This sounds really tough, but there is a trick to this. In the Desert, open all of the chests and the Rad Canister without killing any enemies (if you kill a couple that is okay, but there needs to be a certain amount of enemies alive in order for this to work). Then, Big Bandit will charge through the wall. Kill him as fast as you can (both because this is based on speed and because this won't work if you don't kill him fast enough) and go through the portal that spawns. This will take you to an area called the Oasis, a shortcut to Scrapyards 3. That will cut a lot of time off of the run, but will also have you miss out on a lotta rads, guns, and kills.
Verified	Verified is unlocked by unlocking Y.V.'s B Skin. To do this, you must get a Golden Weapon for every character besides the two secret characters.
Science	Science is unlocked by unlocking Steroids' B Skin. To do this, you must defeat The Technomancer as Steroids. The Technomancer is found in 6-1 (The Labs) on loop only.
6e 69 63 65	6e 69 63 65 is unlocked by unlocking Robot's B Skin. To do this, you must eat a Hyper weapon (Hyper Launcher, Hyper Rifle, Hyper Slugger). These are blue super-weapons that you can find at later levels.
Way of the Chicken	Way of the Chicken is unlocked by unlocking Chicken's B Skin. To do this, you must reach The Sewers on Hard Mode as Chicken.
Forget the Old Days	Forget the Old Days is unlocked by unlocking Rebel's B Skin. To do this, you must defeat Mom as Rebel. Mom is located in 2-1 (The Sewers) on loop only.
Thriller	Thriller is unlocked by unlocking Horror's B Skin. To do this, you must defeat the Hyper Crystal as Horror. Hyper Crystal is located in 4-1 (Crystal Caves) or 4-? (Cursed Crystal Caves) on loop only.
Never Look Back	Never Look Back is unlocked by unlocking Rogue's B Skin. To do this, you must defeat The Captain as Rogue. The Captain is found in HQ3 (IDPD Headquarters 3).

Boss Slayer

The table below informs you as to what the methods are for unlocking the Boss achievements, which are pretty self-explanitory.

Achievement	Method
Bandit Stopper	Bandit Stopper is unlocked by killing Big Bandit. Big Bandit is located at 1-3 or Desert 3.
Dog Owner	Dog Owner is unlocked by killing Big Dog. Big Dog is located at 3-3 or Scrapyards 3.
Hunter Killer	Hunter Killer is unlocked by killing Lil' Hunter. Lil' Hunter is located at 5-3 or Frozen City 3.
Throne Sitter	Throne Sitter is unlocked by killing the Nuclear Throne boss. The Nuclear Throne boss is located at 7-3 or the Throne Room.
Advanced Sitter	Advanced Sitter is unlocked by killing the Throne II boss. The Throne II boss is located at the Campfire, which is reached right after looping.
Frog Slayer	Frog Slayer is unlocked by killing Mom. Mom is located at the Sewers during loop.
Crystal Smasher	Crystal Smasher is unlocked by killing the Hyper Crystal. The Hyper Crystal is located at the Crystal Caves during loop.
Techno Killer	Techno Killer is unlocked by killing the Technomaner. The Technomancer is located at the Labs during loop.
The Struggle is Over	The Sturggle is Over is unlocked by killing The Captain. The Captain is located at IDPD Headquarters 3.

Misc. Achievements

The table below will inform you as to the methods that you need to use to unlock the achievements not mentioned in the above tables.

Achievement	Method
Crown Life	Crown Life is unlocked by unlocking a Crown as any Character.
Ultra Time	Ultra Time is unlocked by reaching level Ultra (Level 10) as any Character. You might have to loop to do this.
Good Find	Good Find is unlocked by unlocking a Golden Weapon for any Character.
Good Riddance	Good Riddance is unlocked by unlocking either a Golden Disc Gun or a Golden Nuke Launcher for any Character. To do this, you must reach at least 7-3 or the Throne Room on Hard Mode and wait for a drop of the weapon you are looking for.
Not Bad	Not Bad is unlocked by reaching the Nuclear Throne during a Daily Run.
Unstoppable	Unstoppable is unlocked by reaching Level Ultra (level ten) as Skeleton. To play as Skeleton, you must die as Melting in the Labs inside one of the purple Necromancer circles (it's much harder than it sounds imo). To reach level Ultra, you will most likely have to loop.
Impossible	Impossible is unlocked by sitting on the Throne as Headless Chicken. To do this, you should probably bring a self-hurting weapon (Blood weapon, Explosive, Disc Gun) to the Throne. After the Throne boss fight, or right before the fight ends, blow your head off. Then, sit that butt on the Throne.
Sincere Apologies	Sincere Apologies is unlocked by killing yourself with your own disc. Find a Disc Gun and go crazy.
Vault Raider	Vault Raider is unlocked by unlocking all Crowns as one character. This includes loop crowns.
Go Hard	Go Hard is unlocked by unlocking Hard Mode.
The Stuggle Continues	The Struggle Continues is unlocked by looping as any character.
Ultra Mutant	Ultra Mutant is unlocked by unlocking all Characters, all B skins, and all Crowns.

Conclusion

Nuclear Throne is an awesome game and I hope it keeps updating with more content and I hope to see more great games from the developers. I've met a lot of nice people in the Nuclear Throne community and I am glad I interacted with them.
