How to quickly become the Guild Master

This guide will show you how to become the thieves guild master without having to spend a lot of time doing the radiant quests

Becoming the guild master

For those you who don't know, upon completing the thieves guild quest "Blindsighted" (The one where you kill Mercer Frey) Brynjolf while advise you that he believes you should become the new guild master. With this you get a cool new set of armour, a key to the tribute chest, and an amulet that makes presuading work almost all the time! Of course, they can't just give it to you. To become the guild master you need to help the guild regain a foot hold in Skyrim. This can be done by completing enough of Delvin's and Vex's radiant quests, and then completing the special quests. These special quests are unlocked after doing 5 quests in the main cities, Whiterun, Windhelm, Solitude and Markarth.

Radiant Quests

First step to becoming the guild master like listed before, is completing 5 radiant quests from Delvin or Vex. Now you could do these properly, but this guide is how to become the guild master quickly. The fastest way, in my opinion, is too pick the same quest from them each time and use the console to change the quest to complete. To do this, you must:

-Press the ~ button to open the console.

-Type setstage, and then hit space bar

-Type in the code for the quest, and then hit space bar again

The codes are:

• Bedlam Job; TGRNT
  
• Fishing Job; TGRGF
  
• Numbers Job; TGRFO
  
• Burglary Job; TGRBE
  
• Shill Job; TGRDU
  
• Sweep Job; TGRHC
  
• Heist Job; TGRSL

-Type in 50 and hit enter

Once that is done, all you have to do is talk to the person who gave you the quest, and you will get the rewards. I personally only use this method when it is a quest in a town I have already taken back, but this method can be used for all the quests.

What next?

Now that you ahve completed 5 quests in each city, and done the special quest for each city, you are now able to become the guild master! Head back to the cistern and the cermony should commence on the middle raised area, over the water.

Couldn't you just use the same console command to complete the entire questline and not bother using it to finish every single radiant quest?

For the shill job, I tried player.sqs tgrdu, which showed me that tgrdu does not have a 50 stage, but a 200 one. I tried it, it completed the quest, BUT, I can't speak with vex for jobs... I'll update.
