Things I wish I knew at the start

Things I realized or found out that would have came in handy from the start.

The Basics

Hi everyone these are things That would have made it a little easer at the start. Please add to the list in the comments and I will give you credit.

Very Basic

1. Pick up stones you will need lots
   
   
2. Stone Hammers are just as good as Tin at extracting tin ore (12 hits), flint (6 hits) or coal (6 hits). And you only need stones to repair it. Tin hammers take whetstones.
   
   
3. You harvest Flint, Coal and Tin ore from nodes that highlight when you curser over them remember the location they respawn.
   
   
4. You get Clay, Whetstone and stones by using a hammer on regular rock formations.
   
   
5. You can run down a boar easy. 1 hit with a tin weapon.

6. make as many large bags as possible

You can see the difference in the hue each node projects before you curse over them, slight blue tinge is Tin, lightish Brown is Flint & the dark black would be your Coal, normal rocks - whetstones/clay/rocks, every now & again you might come across an Amber stone while mining the normal rocks

#2 is outdated. Tin hammers are now better, taking half the hits a stone hammer takes.
