Easy step by step to play with a friend online.
How to set up for Multiplayer. I suggest reading until the end before getting started.

Step 1
Use this link to download the newest, hottest beta of the GeForce Experience[www.geforce.com].

Step 2
Install that sucker. Register a quick account through it if you don't already have one and validate it through your e-mail.

Step 3
Open the client, find the "Share" button on the left side of the options "gear" icon. Press it and go to the two "gears" representing the Share options. Check your keybindings for Share Overlay.

You're good to go! It's that simple, really.

Next is how to invite a friend to play with you.

Step 4
Make sure they have the GeForce Experience beta just like you do. Follow the steps above.
(I haven't tested it yet, but I think that this step can be skipped.)

Step 5
Start Crawl and start a new game, go to the screen where local players can join by pressing a button. Use your hotkey to bring up the "Share" overlay from GeForce Experience. Press Stream and send invite. Send it to the mail of your friend. He will recieve an invite to join your game through his browser inbox.
(this step requires google chrome, it will install an extension when you try to join your friend for the first time, let it install.)

Step 6
Use the Stream button to go into Guest controls. (Still inside of the Share overlay) Enable "Play with me." Exit the overlay with the hotkey or the X in the top right corner.

Step 7
PLAY! Hallelujah! Player one should be your friend and you get to join by pressing a button.

Afterwords.
There is a lot of experimenting I've yet o do and I suggest that everyone does it and help out. I think for example that you can join in the main menu without any problems. The one who joins the game will always use standard controls unless specified when creating a name for themselves in the "press a button to join" screen. Xbox 360 windows controller seems to works fine when the other one is using his keyboard (has been tested somewhat) I have yet to try to send out multiple invitations to try and fill the slots, I actually don't believe that it is a feature of the beta version of this current software iteration. Thus I suggest we fill the Nvidia GeForce Experience forum with wishes for it. I'm sorry that I might have gotten your hopes up for 4 player goodness, but 2 player online with 2 bots or so with a few easy steps is nice. You can also use the Share feature of GeForce Experience with a lot of other local Co-op games. But remember, it is still in early beta.

Please, experiment as much as you can and send the feedback where it is needed.

"Nowadays just use steam remote play. Works fine."

> Indeed my friend, they've come a long way since back then ^^ but this was probably the spark or technology it was built upon.

Of course, it needed be said, but this guide is very outdated.

Indeed, it did not exist at the time of the creation of this guide. I'm glad that someone finally did what Parsec has done. Check them out at https://parsecgaming.com/

I figured it out that day, but thank you very much. That would have fixed my problem. I didn't have experimental checked. Then me and my brother didn't have Chrome. Also we were trying to invite through email but neither of us were checking our email. Proceding my game resolution was windowed and smaller so that made it so my brother couldn't move his mouse all the way to the edge of the screen so we had to change the game to full and 1920x1080 and reset the game. After that the input was really laggy so I turned down the resolution all the way(it was crawl so the graphics didn't suffer). And when all was said and done it finally worked smoothly.

It seems they carried on with the idea and it is now included in the nvidia geforce experience as an experimental option. Check how he sets it up in this vidieo https://youtu.be/Zx9y4gyD4_o?t=50s it should have become more stable and easier to use than when I first made this guide

It requires the host to have Geforce graphic so no it would be easier if people gave lots of money to the developer so someone else could do the online multplayer for them
