Spore patch 6 (v1.06) - "Dr. Pepper" Bots Pack

This patch was released for a US-only Dr. Pepper promotion. There is no changelog, but it is known to add 14 new "mech" creature parts.

WARNING: The “patch 1.06” is not an EA/Maxis product. This patch will allow you to play with the new parts in game, but you will not be able to publish them because it does not grant the entitlement necessary for publication, if you haven't activated your code at dr. pepper's site. This fixed when EA releases the patch on their website and removes the lock code.

What is it?

On January 4th 2010 Spore.com announced there would be 14 new mech-style robot parts for the Creature Creator, provided as part of Patch 1.06. This special give away was only available with a code that was specially marked on Dr. Pepper bottles (under the cap), or at participating Taco Bell restaurants with any order of a large drink. Once the code was found it must have be entered on the Dr. Pepper website. The offer is only open to residents of the USA (excluding Maine).

How to install?

2. Extract a file "BP2_Data.package" from this archive to Spore root folder (Spore/Data)

Tried it. It works.
First: Follow the first link in step 1. Download the patch.
Second: Take the folder out of the download section and add it to your desktop. Right click and press "Extract Here"
Third: Locate the "BP2_Data.package" as it says above. Go to Spore/Data (Should be located in the steam folder so; Steam/steamapps/common/Spore/Data . Something like that, Then drop the BP2 Data in with all the other files that say "package"
