Introduction
As of this writing Black Cat on Steam (achievements)have the lowest level 60 completion rate. Not many players plays her to level 60. Basically Steam player base have very low regard for Black Cat. So I came in with low expectation of her.

While her ability isn’t great by looking at her stats and powers, Black Cat in fact is very powerful. Late game she can be use to farm high level gears for your other characters. While her defense is weak, she is theoretically unkillable. Her stealth ability allows her to get out of trouble and heal up. She came with two nukes one for bosses and the other for non-bosses with a cooldown of 30 seconds making her one of the best AOE in the game.

When I first played her she was very hard to get use to or like. But the more I played the more I understand how power she is. She have a lot of AOE powers and deals large amount of damage which I found out after the first 20 levels. At level 30 I saw her full potential with Cat Scratch Fever and The Cat’s Meow. Both gives her two powerful nukes.
Nine Lives
There is no character in Marvel Heroes that can match her survivability in the game. Black Cat is theoretically unkillable. This is due to Nine Lives.

Nine Lives give you nine lives and with a cool down of 1 minute per live. If Black receive lethal damage one live will be used to prevent death. As long as you stealth away, heal, it should give you enough time to cool down nine lives charges to be reuse. Black Cat Ultimate refresh all your nine lives back to max. This comes to 18 lives for every 10 minutes which translate to 1 recharged live for every 30 seconds or so. You really have to screw up really bad in order for you to die.

A good combination with Nine Lives are gears that give you invulnerability for a few seconds like invulnerability cores. This will buy you time to stealth away while healing. Theoretically Black Cat is unkillable in the game.
Farming
Black Cat is a thief in the comic book. She is a thief in the game. She is design to farm gears in the end game with Master Thief skills. With lots of find items modifier on your gears it will further increase your chance of finding super hard items. Her Hero Synergy System will increase another 10% chance of finding Rare and Special items. By no doubt her main purpose in the end is to farm items.

The fastest way to level your vendor or get Next Level Crafting achievements is with Black Cat Master Thief skill. Donate the stolen items to the vendor for quick level up. It only took me a handful of hours to level both vendors to max level with the stolen items.
Drawbacks
Black Cats is weak on defense so improving her defense is a priority. Another drawback is shared cooldown power. And she have a few shared cooldown powers. Shared cooldown power means both power share the same cool down. So if one is used the other power cannot until the cooldown is over.

Shared cooldown is a major drawback because it basically disable two skills. You cannot use the other share power until the cooldown is over. This mechanic is to prevent using two powerful skills one after another. By it nature it convince the player to pick another power that is not shared. It is almost always not to pick share cooldown powers. In Black Cat Death Blossom Build case we are going to ignore this rule.
Death Blossom
Death Blossom thermology came from the Last Starfighter Movie in the mid ‘80. In the movie the gunner fire every weapons the ship have and destroying all the enemy around him. In Black Cat she does the same thing with The Cat’s Meow.

Black Cat have two very power nukes, Cat Scratch Fever and The Cat’s Meow. One for bosses and the other for non-bosses. These two nukes have share cooldown of 30 seconds. These two nukes are so power that I felt it override the huge penalty of shared cooldown.

The Cat’s Meow throws mines 360 degree everywhere on the screen. Each mine is AOE and pack enough damage to kill even elite mobs. It basically kill everything other than a boss on the screen. It is a wonder to watch it happen. Even more so when you play with a bunch of people fighting a screen filled of enemies and suddenly they all die simultaneously. These players probably thinking WTF just happened?

While The Cat’s Meow use for minions, Cat Scratch Fever (CSF) design to nuke bosses. CSF have a much smaller radius however it deals more damage and for a longer duration. It will keep doing damage inside the nuke radius until the animation is over. Anyone entering the radius will take damage. Anyone leaving the radius will not take damage. You want to position yourself in a way when you pop CSF that all the bosses will take damage from the nuke.

For players that do like share cooldown which I can understand. Pick one of the two nukes. If you decided to keep The Cat’s Meow, you need a power that allows you to kill bosses. That would be Foe Fillet. If you picked Foe Fillet you need to replace C'Mere Kitty (share cooldown with Foe Fillet) with Claws Out.

If you decided to keep Cat Scratch Fever, replace The Cat’s Meow with Claws Out.
Build
Cat's Claws: This is your only single target power in the build. It gives decent damage without the use of mana.

Land On Your Feet: This is your most use AOE power in the build. It gets you into fight fast and can get you of it to. Does bleed damage over time.

C'Mere Kitty: AOE as well as snaring one of your target to you. It boost Whip damage from your other powers.

Explosive Trap: Second most used AOE power. Very good damage overall with decent range. Drawback is delay explosion.

Cat Suit: Increase defense and break stun. All build should incorporate a skill to break stun. Very important in Raids.

Quick Getaway: Only one point is put into this power. It your fast travel and escape ability. It very useful in getting out and into trouble. The ability allows you to disengage boss that targeted you with an ability. For example Bullseye single you out and got you in his crosshair. Pop Quick Getaway and he will stop targeting you.

Bad Luck: Increase damage and defense. Make sure you toggle it on to give additional effects.

Cat Scratch Fever: Your main nuke against boss. Make sure you position Black Cat where you can get multiple bosses in your nuke. The main drawback is bosses can move away from your radius nuke. Anyone entering the nuke radius will take damage. It have a shared cooldown with The Cat’s Meow

The Cat’s Meow: Your Death Blossom. It kill all non-boss on the screen. It have a shared cooldown with Cat Scratch Fever.

Master Thief: More damage and better gears. What else do you want?

Fortune and Favor: Increase damage on your two nukes and it doesn’t have undesirable drawbacks for this build.
Failure Points
While I didn’t do much of the story mode at par level. Black Cat have no failure point due to her Nine Lives.

This is why Black Cat can't get killed unless you screwed up badly. She have the best survivability rate of any characters. I almost solo the entire Magneto gang on Cosmic Midtown. Spiderman hero that came to help me didn't last long.
