BASMENT DWELLERS is an epic, procedurally generated, next-generation CRPG about killing monsters and stealing their treasure.

- Kill monsters, steal their treasure

- Fight a multitude of dangerous foes like the annoying ROGUE, the insidious BLURK and the terrifying GIANT NOSE

- Navigate a complex basment layout (generated anew for each game) with one-way trapdoors and underwater sections (don't forget your scuba gear!)

- Sample local cuisine such as MAGGOT PUDDING and MOLD SOUP

- Compete for the highest score

- Descend into Hell to defeat the ARCHDEMON!

lol this is awesome. I started out programming in QBasic so this brings me back to the DOS days. Love it! Good luck with your Greenlight!

Wow. I've been really wanting to make a game with this style myself and I must say you've done it really, really well. What fonts were used for this?

I'm usually allergic to ASCII, but this game looks sweet. Upvoted.

Upvote, this is my kind of shit! Update to the old ANSII style roguelike graphics to make it more art and less symbols, different type of gameplay, and proper self awareness.

Maybe not, but you shouldn't come into the restaurant when other people are enjoying brussels sprouts and loudly proclaim that you don't like them.

pango - Not liking procedurally-generated stuff is a "silly reason" to not want to buy a procedurally-generated game? I don't like brussels sprouts, but I should buy a dish of them just because a cook worked really hard on it?
