Birds At Arms at its core, is a 2D simplification of the lane-based multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA), that can be played casually in about 4 minutes. The aim of Birds At Arms is to provide the addictive compelling experience of a MOBA at the casual level, so that it can be enjoyed by everyone, not just the “hardcore” gamer audience. In order to make the game more accessible, the skilltree and item mechanics have not been included. Each player has only a basic attack skillshot and a chargeable special ability.

Fire skillshot feathers at enemy minions to keep them from attacking your base. The game takes place on two platforms in a side-view 2D plane of view. Minions are blown through the level toward the enemy base by rotating fans. Fire feathers killing enemy minions and players to accumulate birdseed. When the birdseed meter fills up, use your special class ability to trigger one of 5 different powers. Dodge enemy feathers and specials or you'll turn into an egg to roll back to base. Whichever team's base has taken less damage when time runs out wins the game.

"The citizens of Birddale have an event called birdfest each year. During the week, a brutal and bloody combat sport is played. The winners are basked in eternal fame and glory. The losers families are turned into McNuggets."

- A custom engine built on SDL 2.0

- Five unique bird classes, each with their own speed, size, and class power

I'm not sure if this artstyle is going to be very pleasing to the general audience.

We are running the Game Development World Championship and would like to see you participate. It's good for your visibility and won't cost you a penny.

You can check it out at .

Good luck with the development!
