Quest Tips for New BG Players

This guide is aimed towards new players looking to playthrough the BG.EE franchise without using a complete detailed walkthrough. As I play through the game and come across easy to miss items/quests or mistakes easily made that will effect your gameplay I will note them down in the guide for new players to use.

Quest Tip - A Rogue Ogre

TL;DR - If you kill an Ogre on your way to the Friendly Arm Inn...make sure you loot the belt he drops and just keep it aside till you meet Unshley the dwarf. This only applies to people who have killed the Ogre before accepting the quest off Unshley

I had a bit of trouble with this being new to the BG franchise and not wanting to follow any guides but eventually I caved in and had to find out what I was doing wrong and why I could not find the Ogre for this quest.

Long story short I had booted up the game the night before and made my way to the Friendly Arm Inn not realizing on my way I had killed said Ogre and looted the quest item! Spending hours looking for him only to realize It was already in my inventory from the night before.
