H1Z1 FPS GUIDE & EXPLANATION

FIRST OF ALL KEEP A BACKUP OF YOUR USEROPTIONS.INI IN CASE IT DOESNT WORK / YOU DONT LIKE VISUALS SO YOU WONT HAVE ANY PROBLEMS LATER
To start with , this game requires a good CPU & RAM , the graphics do not really matter that much , but of course you can't just run a game with a bad graphics card.

Here are all the commands , in your gameconfig , which can be found in "steam/steamapps/common/H1Z1 King Of The Kill/useroptions.ini " .
It only has graphic & sound settings , the whole config can be found on the BOTTOM of the page.

Explanation of settings

[Display]
FullscreenRefresh=0
Maximized=1
FullscreenWidth=1280 (Set your resolution same as your desktop , to not run into problems , such as black bars inside the game, do not forget lower resolution=better FPS)
FullscreenHeight=768
WindowedWidth=1280 (Same here )
WindowedHeight=768
Mode=WindowedFullscreen (WindowedFullscreen , is the windowed mode but with the difference that it captures the whole screen and gives you better fps)
FullscreenMode=Windowed
HDPixelPlus=1.100000 (Pixels inside the game , 1.1 : Ultra , 1.0 : High , 0.9 : Medium , 0:8 :Low .
Set this between 1.1 to 0.9 , setting on low will make the game look like minecraft)

[Rendering]
EffectsQuality=2 (Allows you to see in-game effects such as Explosions , bullet drops etc etc , set it between 0-3 , but 2 is good and will not make a difference on your fps)
OverallQuality= -1 (With the new update ,on 21 May,people say you have to set this into 0 , to use custom settings , or else it will use ultra/high/medium/low settings SET BY THE GAME and not by you, actually the "custom" setting is still set on "-1", I did test it )
TextureQuality=1 (With the recent update this has changed too , 0 : Low , 1:Medium , 2:High , 3:Ultra
Does not play a big role on my game , you can test each value and set whatever suits best to you)
ShadowQuality=0 (Shadows settings , 0 is off , 1-2-3 is on and puts on effects as the value is rising)
FloraQuality=0 (Grass is gone , set between 0-3)
RenderDistance=2500.000000 (Render distance refers to how much far you can see objects , and not players , 2250 minimum so you can see the ground while dropping with parachute , you can set on lowest value as soon as you land)
Gamma=0.000020 (Really changes for every screen , make your tests and leave whatever is better for you)
MaximumFPS=900 ( Set this to 900 , or to a lowest value of ~300 , let your game give the maximum fps you can get )
UseLod0a=1 (Changes shape of objects at a distance )
Smoothing=0 (Causes large fps drops )
VerticalFOV=70
ModelQuality=2 (Quality on players )
FogShadowsEnable=0 (Changes the look on fog/gas)
AO=0 (Ambient Conclussion , set this off , causes fps drops )
LightingQuality=0 (Disables lightning effects , 0:off , 1:medium/high , 2:ultra)
VSync=0 (Locks your fps related to your screens refresh rate , if you do not have a 144Hz monitor , set this off )
MotionBlur=0 (Adds a blur to smooth , balance and stabilize your fps , set this off for higher fps )
UseDepthOfField=0.000000 (That's a new DX11 feature , uses blurring techniques to create in/out focus objects )
ParticleLOD=0 (ParticleLOD is level of detail for particles on your screen. With ParticleLOD=3 you can see where bullets hit longer ranges. I'd keep that off to gain some fps )

What do I really need to play this game?

My computer is made of :
Intel 2320 4 Cores x 3.0GHZ
8GB Ram 1333MHz
GTX 750 Ti 2GB Dual Fan
1 of my 2 Rams were broken few weeks ago , I couldn't play the game with 4GB ram left .

A friend of mine has :
Intel Dual Core 2x3.0ghz
6GB Ram ~1333MHz
AMD R7 2GB
He's really getting low fps (15-30 in forest )

Another friend has :
AMD FX 4300 4x3.8GHz
8GB Ram 1866MHz
AMD HD 7870 2GB
He gets better fps than me (usually ~100 in forest , ~50 inside cities)


So it's sure that you need :
a 4core 3+GHz CPU
8GB of Ram with higher than 1333MHz
a 2GB graphics card with higher than 40mb/s bandwitch rate (128bit=~80mb/s , 256bit=~200mb/s , may be different for each graphics card)

What I recommend :
4 Core Intel i5/i7 or 6core/8core AMD
8GB/16GB of ram with higher than 1333MHz
A 2GB , 256bits graphics card

NOTES

NOTE #1:: The explanation for the settings , are taken from MortalKrishna in a Reddit post , I just made some changes with the recent updates as the game would cause me get large FPS drops (18-20 fps in cities from 50-60) . So Credits go to MortalKrishna !

NOTE #2:: Backup your current config , do not blame anyone later .

NOTE #3:: OC(OverClocing) your components may cause a FPS problem with this game . If you have FPS problems and pretty sure your PC build can afford the game easily , be sure you did not overclock .

Game runs way better on Nvidia I have an i5 4690k and an RX 480 8gb and my friend has an i5 5690 and a GTX 960 4gb and he runs max settings at higher fps than I run very low settings

My specs can play in highest settings with around 100 fps so processor doesnt really effect.
