Full list of Dark Forces Controls and a few Cheat Codes

This is a full list of all of the controls for the PC Steam edition of Star Wars Dark Forces. Also includes a list of helpful cheat codes and how to use them.

Introduciton

Star Wars Dark Forces can be very confusing to players who do not know the game's controls. Below, I have listed every key and what it does in the game. I also have a few helpful cheat codes listed! Hope this guide helps!

[SPACE] Jump
[W] Walk Forwards
[S] Walk Backwards
[A] Walk Left
[D] Walk Right
[SHIFT] Hold down to run
[C] Crouch
[E] Use/Activate
[1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] [7] [8] [9] [0] Used for changing weapons
[F1] Inventory/Objectives/Mission/Weapons
[F2] Toggle Night Vision
[F3] Toggle Ice Cleets
[F4] Toggle Gas Mask
[F5] Toggle Headlight
[F6] Toggle Headwave
[F7] Hide GUI
[F8] Toggle Weapon
[F9] Switch Weapon
[F10] Switch Weapon
[Esc] Pause Game
[Left Mouse] Use Weapon

Cheat Codes

Here are a few cheat codes to help players who are stuck, keep dying, or just don't want to play the game the proper way. To use these codes, just type them on your keyboard while you are playing.

LAREDLITE - This code freezes the enemies so it is easier to kill them.
LABRADY - This code gives you full ammo, so you don't have to worry about running out.
LACDS - This code completely fills out your map in case you get stuck or lost.
LAPOGO - This code gives you a higher jump, to make platforming easier.
LAIMLAME - This code makes you invincible; when you're hit it just bounces off.

Is there a way to change the controls back into the original keyboard only other than going through the key mapper on dosbox? It threw me way the quack off that it got changed into WASD and mouse controls. The Alt fire button is 'R' btw. It "used" to be 'z'.

I'm sad LATERMINATE didn't seem to work, originally invincible and infinite ammo

If you want to rebind the keys press Ctrl + F1, which will access the DosBox keyboard and joystick mapping tool. \Dark Forces\DosBox\README.txt -Go to section 6 for 'Mapper' or try editing \Dark Forces\mapper.txt directly.
