How to get the best weapon in the game at level 1

Hello adventurer and have I got a some advise for you! Are you feeling tired of dealing with the overpriced items in the imperial economy and you don't feel like stealing them right of the bat? Well have I got a deal for you! Look no further and you will find the infamous sword Umbra at level 1! Before beginning the journey I advise you to change you game difficulties to the easiest one as there is a higher chance of success that way.

Getting Prepared for the Coming Battle

When you first start out in the game, you want to make sure you grab every single potion when you escaping the imperial prison that you can. Make sure to have heavy armor or and a decent sword the steel short sword you loot from the first blade captain (Captain Renault) that dies is fine.

The Journey to The Infamous Witch

Now then where were we? Ah! Then what you want to do is goto a place called Vindasel, it is southwest of the Imperial City and east along the road from Clavicus Vile's Shrine. Once you fight the summoner outside and clear your path inside the dungeon you will arrive at the end of your long overdue journey.

To battle!

Alas there she is lass/lad. Umbra, the female bosmer holding your long deserving reward. Save your game prior to fighting just in case it doesn't work for you (Ive done this a thousand times on multiple consoles including the PC :D) And let the battle begin! Each time she tries to soul trap you wait till you are roughly at 25% or wherever you feel comfortable and use a potion. Keep pressing on and make sure to avoid her heavy swings it is easier to swoop in and back out when attacking her.

The end of your journey... And your reward...

The cursed woman lies on the floor, surround by a pool of blood the only untainted possession she carries is the thing you wanted all along! Umbra is unscathed and you shall take it as your eternal reward! Congratulations hero!

if your a pussy and cant fight, swim to the waterfront district, if your worried of her killing you drink a water breathing potion and dive so she cant get within stabbing range until your in the imperial city, then you can watch as she is destroyed by the town guard allowing you to loot not only umbra but the fallen guards!

It actually allows you to bypass a quest-breaking bug on unpatched versions of the game.

Doing this just compromises the daedric quest of Clavicus Vile thus ruining the whole Daedric Questline.

you can attack umbra and run to the nearest city for the guards to kill her and then get the sword

You're thinking of Rigmor, Claude Maric's second in command. She has a leveled set of heavy armor.

It is 100% leveled, why would Daedric ever be intentionally available at level 1.

i think theres full deadric at the roxie inn but it might be leveled

you can probably kill her at lvl1 with some buffed glitch spells

FYI this fight is literally impossible if you're in any difficulty other than the easiest possible because she keeps regenerating health more than you damage her
