Nvidia Profile Inspector Config
Oleh Karlmeister
I like very much the graphics style of this game, but the antialiasing (AA) option included ingame (FXAA) doesn't satisfied me cuz it blurries too much the image. So I made a little research and testing, and I found a pair of configs to apply MSAA which make the game look lot better than FXAA.

Setting up Nvidia Profile Inspector
First, we need to disable the AA option ingame. Then, we need Nvidia Profile Inspector. You can download latest version from Guru3D[www.guru3d.com].

Next, you need to create a new profile. Let's name it "Saint Seiya - Soldier's Soul", and add the game executable, located in SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\SSSS\SSSS.exe.

Important: don't forget to click the "Apply changes" button after modify the config.
Anisotropic Filter
Before setting up antialiasing, I strongly recommend to activate Anisotropic Filtering (AF), because driver implementation is better:

4. Texture Filtering
Anisotropic Filtering mode: User-defined / Off
Anisotropic Filtering setting: 16x
Texture Filtering: High Quality
Ambient Occlusion
Another option that I recommend is to enable Ambient Occlusion.

1. Compatibility
Ambient Occlusion Compatibility: 0x00000035

5. Common
Ambient Occlusion Setting: High Quality
Ambient Occlusion: Enabled
Antialiasing (Option 1)
1. Compatibility
Antialiasing Compatibility: 0x004432C0
Antialiasing fix: On

3. Antialiasing
Antialiasing Mode: Override any application setting
Antialiasing Setting: 4x [4x Multisampling]

Here, you can change to any other MSAA according to your hardware. Remember that this game was designed to run at constant 30 or 60 FPS. Any less than 30 FPS will be bearly unplayable. At 60 FPS, you'll get the best game experience.
Antialiasing (Option 2)
1. Compatibility
Antialiasing Compatibility: 0x004012C0
Antialiasing fix: On

3. Antialiasing
Antialiasing Mode: Override any application setting
Antialiasing Setting: 4x [4x Multisampling]
Antialiasing - Transparency Multisampling: Disabled
Antialiasing - Transparency Supersampling: 4x Sparse Grid Supersampling
Comparative Screenshots (Option 1)
First, a screenshot of my own config in my rig (i5 4690K / 8 GB RAM / 970 GTX):

And the comparative screenshots (full HD, all with 16x AF) of option 1:

Final Thoughts
To me, MSAA works and looks lot better than ingame FXAA. In conjunction with the AF and Ambient Occlusion configs, game graphics looks better than vanilla and, of course, PS4 version.

I hope have helped. Please feel free to make any comment, suggestion or post your own configs.

Config values were extracted from Dragon Ball Xenoverse config in NVidia Anti-Aliasing Guide[forums.guru3d.com] and HBAO+ Compatibility Flags Thread[forums.guru3d.com]. SSSS doesn't appear in lists, but both game share almost the same render engine.

4K DSR to 1080p, solid 60fps. I just prefer it over the aforementioned loss of visual effects

No odd. Indeed there's very few and recent games which a 970 can keep constant 60 FPS at 4K. Maybe your tried some lower reso or didn't measure the FPS.

Besides that, I don't like the blurriness of DSR. I prefer (at least in this game) MSAA 4x.

Odd, my GTX 970 runs the game with DSR just fine and no blurriness. In fact, Option 1 here causes slowdown and hella-blurriness, though Option 2 is fine.

Thanks for your feedback, Tenshu. I didn't notice any glitch activating MSAA/SGSSAA (I'll keep an eye with special effects), but I did some testing with DSR and my GTX 970 isn't capable to use 4K (with max settings) and keep constant 60 FPS. Besides that, image quality looks blurries, just like FXAA.

Just to let you know, both options cause visual effects to be lost. The AF and AO options can stick, but it's the AA options that cause this. Things like the explosion after Marin connects a BBA Eagle Toe Flash (enemy just disappears) and some effects of regular special attacks just don't show up. Truth be told if you want AA in the game and not deal with FXAA, you can try downsampling.
