Nitemare 3D MS-DOS - Custom Steam Installation (U/C)

In this Guide, I will show you how to install Nightmare 3D (MS-DOS Version) in the same folder as Blake Stone: Aliens of Gold on Steam. This is the 4th & Final Game in the Hugo Series.

1. MS-DOS Version - Custom Installation

This Section will teach you on how to install Nitemare 3D in your Blake Stone Folder. There's 2 Versions of the Game, the Windows Version & DOS Version.

The Windows Version of Nitemare 3D can be installed in the Same Way as Zombie Wars in the Alien Carnage Folder since its a 16-Bit Application & uses WinG which you'll need to run it using a Windows 32-Bit Closed Source OS such as 2000 & XP while the MS-DOS Version is a little Different.

2. Story - House of Horrors Revisited

Hugo's girlfriend Penelope is kidnapped by the nefarious Dr. Hamerstein, who intends to conduct terrifying experiments on her. Hugo has to explore the Doctor's twisted mansion, travel through underground caverns, and eventually face the villain himself and rescue his sweetheart.

3. Weapons

Plasma Guns: Highly Effective against Most Enemies, you'll need Plasma Charges for the Plasma Guns. The Super Plasma Gun does Rapid Fire.

Magic Wand: Effective against Magical Enemies (Such as Witches & Warlocks), you'll need Spell Books for the Wand.

Pistol: Uses Silver Bullets against Undead Enemies (Such as Vampires, Ghosts, Zombies)

Since there's no Fists as Melee Weapon, Make you DON'T Run of Ammo or you're reduced to Dust when you're killed In-Game.

4. Items

Scrolls: Contains Infomation

Combination Safes: Contains Items, you need the Vault Codes to open them.

Trunks: Contains Pentagram Items which Restore your Health, Ammo,
Magic Eye Power or Crystal Ball Power.

Magic Eyes: Collecting them will power your AutoMap by pressing F9.

Crystal Balls: Collecting them will power your AutoEnemy by pressing F10.

Potions: Restores Health

5. Enemies

There's several enemies you can encounter in Nitemare 3D such as Mad Scientists, Zombies, Demons, Witches, Warlocks, Monsters, Vampires, Ghosts, Ghouls, the Undead, Robots & Aliens. Just about every Horror concept is in this game.

NOTE: Nitemare 3D is still Shareware after 1994 and can be purchased from the Gray Design Associates HP as a digital download for $12 as it contains both Windows and DOS Versions. The Windows Version is 16-Bit and therefore won't work on 64-Bit PCs. So its best to stick with the DOS Version.

7. Cheat Codes

Regain Life
If you hold down shift and the + button, you'll slowly regain life!

There's also 4 Cheat Codes you can Enable or Disable at will during the 3 Episodes: House of Horrors, Plasma Core & Death or Glory. Which Include: Infinite Health, Ammo, Magic Eye/Crystal Ball Power & All Weapons, Keys/Keycards.

When you beat the First Episode, you'll go through a Mirror into the Other Side which is filled with Robots, Aliens and Demons.
