General Idea
As it stands, 'Veteran' is going to take you a long time to get, even if you focus on it. Be sure to enjoy a ton of mindless, addictive game-play in the meantime, and enjoy quests, too!

The biggest trick:
- Stay on the mid-to-low portion of the playable area when looking for 'Nyan Love' power-ups.
This is debatable, but I've found the majority of 'Nyan love' power-ups to spawn in the lower half of the game area. There were a few I found up, higher, but after 'aiming low', I found far more success.

Other:
- Make sure to clear a lot of ground, vertical and horizontal when possible. Vertical ground coverage lets you find more things, whether it be power-ups or baddies once you have nyan love. Use low bounce pads, often. Horizontal ground coverage forces items and baddies to spawn more frequently. The more there is, the more you can get done!
- Play Classic mode. In Classic mode, you'll be pressed to click-destroy bombs, but enemies tend to spawn more frequently, allowing for a quicker achievement rate. Zen mode is an alternative, although it's not as efficient as Classic mode. It's simpler having no bombs lying around, since a swathe of them can distract the power-up. It's, also, very apparent when an off-screen baddy gets shot down, instead of a bomb.
- Bombs do not count towards the total. I cannot emphasize that, enough. That's why, when focusing on this achievement, you must click away T9T bombs. If you find clicking too tedious, play Zen mode, but classic mode is the quickest way to this achievement (Unless you prefer traveling left. Maybe Tac Nayn is more your style?)
Finding Nyan love power-ups
Useful power-ups:
- Rocketnyan - allows for free movement between platforms, speeds up the level cycle which produces more items.
- Supernyan - allows for free movement between platforms, speeds up the level cycle which produces more items.
- Bubblenyan - allows for easy upwards mobility.
- Turbonyan - forces horizontal coverage.
- Adrenyanlin - forces horizontal coverage.
- Nyan glasses - tiny amount of assistance. Helps visually pick out on-screen power-ups.
- Big Nyan - tiny amount of assistance. Increases your effective 'grab' range for power-ups.
- Mystery power-up - If you don't have Nyan love, yet, try your luck! There are far more positive outcomes to this than negative ones, anyways.

Adverse power-ups:
- Kaleinyanscope - slows horizontal progression and eats up your time.
- Disco Tour - removes special floors. No bouncing.
- Alonenyan - One of the only downgrades to actually be a downgrade for this achievement. Makes it difficult to see other power-ups

Other useful tricks:
- Take low level gum platforms to quickly eyeball and spot any useful power-ups, but don't stray too far from the bottom.
Using Nyan love power-ups
Other:
- Cover vertical ground! That means get up high, quickly. Drop levels, quickly. You only have a finite amount of time for each Nyan love, so make the best of it! Using bounce platforms and dropping levels in succession can turn a 0-1 enemy power-up into 2-3, quickly.
- Obviously, dodge other power-ups or downgrades. They will end Nyan love.
- Reiterating again, T9T/bombs do not count towards the total. React to them and click them away, early.

There is way easier method exist to grab this achievement in compare to what author been mentioned here, same as other folks in their manuals.

1. Pick "Tack Nyan" mode - more enemies.

2. instant restart if you don't see an item right at the start. This will lead to less then ~ 2 seconds for one game, that doesn't have hearts at point zero. Will require enough restarts in total, might be few, might be ~ 30-50, still ever 50 will take less then 2 minutes total.

3. Stick to the middle / bottom area, as the author mentioned here.

4. Sometimes you can start the game with the heart item picked automatically, but it doesn't happen often. Sometimes two items can appear in a row, i.e. first attempt, second attempt. Item might be in the mystery box as well.

It's been too long for me to have a good answer!
I'm assuming you're not counting T9Ts, as the guide says, so I don't have an answer! :(

Eliminated over 100 enemies (~120) with Nyan love... and nothing!:bbtcat: Achievement does not give. Very upsetting. The time spent on it very much. :sad_crystal:
Ps. Didn't anyone have a problem like this?

@A'den That's an appreciated observation; I'll edit the post, shortly, to reflect what you've said! Thanks!

Hey OP, nice guide, but I think I have to disagree with you on gamemode preference. I tried Zen, and while, indeed, no T9Ts were overloading my NL power-up, lack of enemies made more that half of the Nyan Love pickups useless. I'd suggest Classic - targets are in abundance there, and while T9Ts can in fact overload the boost, you can destroy them manually, so NL will target what it's required. In fact, I have ~2 kills per one boost on Classic. Not saying your idea is bad, merely suggesting an alternative which will increase difficulty a bit, but may decreaste time needed. Cheers!
