Custom Resolution

Custom Resolution, from the regular 1680x1050 max, to 1920x1080 and up.

Introduction

Like me, you have probably played this game and thought, damn I wish this was in 1080p. This guide will show you how to change settings in .xml files to fix this issue.

Changing it.

First go to your steam library, this can be usually found at C://ProgramFiles//Steam//steamapps//common. From there you will find the Making History Gold file.From there you will go into the folder then open the Options folder.
From there you can use a variety of programs, I use Notepad++ to open the .xml file.


After that you will change nScreenWidth value=1680 to value=1920
And then you will change Screen height from 1050 to 1080.
When done, click File, then Save.

Finish.

After that you'll be playing in glorious 1080p. Happy war to you!

Thanks for this. For anyone unsure, you have to type in the height and width lines yourself (those lines werent present in my file, but Id only done the tutorial). I did it as shown in the example, and it worked great.

you need to launch the game first, try to tweak with the ingame settings at first? i have no clue.
