Class Guide: Archer
kevin tarafından
In this guide I will teach you how to play as my favorite class, which is the Archer. The archer is a very straight forward class that is very good at taking out enemies at long range, as well as getting clean assassinations when needed.

Race:
In my opinion, the best race for an archer is Bosmer, or Wood Elf, since they start off with a +10 Skill bonus in Archery. Other races that could work with the Archer build are Khajiits and Argonians, since they are both good races for assassins. The Assassin class and the Archery class work well together, since sneak can greatly amplify the damage dealt to enemies through specific skills on the sneak/archery skill tree.

Armor:
As stated above, being sneaky is important to being an archer, so I highly reccomend any sort of light armor when using a bow. My favorite armor while playing as the archer is the Dark Brotherhood armor, since it is very easy to obtain and the Cowl adds a +20% damage bonus for bows. The boots also allow you to move silently, which again, helps with being stealthy.

Weapons:
Obviously, the main weapon you want to use when playing as the archer is the bow and arrow. Any bow will work, and any arrow will work as well. In the low levels, I would try to steal the Elven Bow in the lower floor of Jorrvaskr. It is a really powerful bow to obtain at a low level, so I highly recommend trying to get it. As for late game, I recommend the Ebony, Daedric, or Nightingale Bow, and if you have the Dawnguard DLC, Auriel's Bow. All of these bows do significant damage and are great late-game choices. Having a decent dagger as a secondary is also a good option, if the enemies get too close.

Guilds:
Archers should join the Dark Brotherhood, as well as the theives guild. The Dark Brotherhood quests can give you experience using bows to assassinate targets, which will level up your archery skill quick. The Thieves guild is also a good option as it focuses a lot of it's quests on Sneak, which also helps with being a good Archer. The Thieves guild is also great since the quests merge into the Nightingale quests towards the end of the Thieves guild quests. Here you will get the Nightingale Bow, as well as the Nightingale Armor.

This is my guide on how to play as the archer in Skyrim. It is a very fun playstyle that differs from the usual hack and slash gameplay that Skyrim is notorious for.

Personally doing a dagger only Khajiit Assassin on skyrim, allows me to actually have to try to stay stealthed at all times, honestly a dangerous way to go since bosses like alduin, paartharunax (If you choose to help the blades) cannot really be stealthed, although Dual Legendary Dragonbone Daggers do have a high advantage especially with the Dual damage boost, and speed boost. The sneak bonus damage for daggers is pretty good also, so if you are dealing around 50 damage per dagger, that's like 150 damage for a dual hit (Without sneak), and literally around 4.5k damage for a dual wield stealth hit, not counting poisons or enchantments on the weapon.
