By Unreal4TW
The game just recently came out and theres not many guides (actually i think this is the second one) and theres not many videos on youtube yet, so i decided to make this guide to help people using my experience so far in the game.

The Basics
Okay so first lets start with the basics:
You join a server that u want and u spawn somewhere in the H2o world and the first thing you want to do is open your map by pressing M and find out where u are, after u opened the map u can see that the map has numbers and letters which u can use as coordenates to find your location correctly, there are also 4 squares that u can see marked on the map, the oil rigs. You start with a pickaxe, lantern, makeshift raft and some bread.

Starting to get resources and going into crafting:
After u finished locating yourself on the map you need to start gathering material for your future base and craftings, to do this you need a pickaxe which u spawn in with.

There are 7 types of different resources you can find in nature (mostly on islands)

Scrap Metal-> Its easy to find this resource, its basicly a small pile of metal in the islands which u can gather by using your pickaxe, Scrap Metal will drop you: Iron Scrap, Steel Scrap, Aluminium Scrap, Copper Scrap and Saltpeter.

Scrap Wood-> From what i see you find less Scrap Wood than you find Scrap Metal but its still in decent quantities. Scrap Wood will drop you: Wood Planks, Wood.

Floating Wood Logs (idk the name right now sorry :()-> You can find this floating in the water, its basicly a huge wooden log. It gives you: Wood Planks, Wood.

Floating scrap hmm trash? (idk the name right now sorry again)-> You can find this floating in the water, it looks like some plastic bags and some water bottles etc.. You get Car Engines, Water Bottles, Empty Water bottles, Stanated water thingy, Platic barrel or how its called, Coil of Hemp Twine, Duct Tape, Lye in powder, air chamber, sulfur powder and i think thats it.

Wood pile or whatever its called-> It looks like alot of stacked wood that when is full its at 30/30, for each hit you do with a pickaxe it takes 1 until it goes down to 0/30, it doesnt disappear and instead it slowly regenerates until it is 30/30 again. It drops you Wood and wood planks basicly.

Metal pile or whatever its called-> It looks like some metal scrap with a washing machine on it, that when is full its at 30/30, for each hit you do with a pickaxe it takes 1 until it goes down to 0/30, it doesnt disappear and instead it slowly regenerates until it is 30/30 again. It drops you basicly the same as scrap metal but more.

Golden Sand-> It looks like sand and its often found underwater on the sea and sometimes on the beach, it drops you Sand and copper ore.

So now that you know where u can gather resources from lets continue.

At the begging the thing u need to gather the most is probably Scrap Metal and Scrap Wood, especially Scrap Metal, you will need it, ALOT!
Scrap metal is used in almost all of the crafting, speacially on base building.
After u finish gathering some of these materials you should probably start by making a furnace, which you will use to melt metals and other stuff like plastic and sand.
If u want to cook some food you will need a Brazier (YOU CANT COOK FOOD ON FURNACES)
Theres various types of food that u can find ingame: Bread, u can find bread from loot boxes.
Fish, for this you will need a fishing rod, which u can craft in the utility menu in the crafting menu.
Shark meat, you can get this if u kill a shark and harvest his meat. Giant Scallops (you can find these on the beach). Water Bottles, this is not really food but does the same effects since there isnt any water percentage.

Respawn and Clans
This is very important, when u die you have 3 options you can choose, respawn anywhere, respawn in a bed (cot) or respawn in the clan HQ (which i dont think works yet or i didnt get enough into the game for it, idk). This is really important because if u die during a battle or something it is very hard to find your way back fast if you dont want to loose your stuff for example, so all u need to do is craft a cot and place it and you will be able to respawn there.

Shipyards and vehicles-> This game just came out a few days ago but its already amazing, it has a very vast variaty of vehicles for all diferent types of stuff, you have jetskis, hovercrafts, huge cargo ships, a helicopter, a plane, gunboat, etc. In order to build this amazing vehicles you will first need to craft a shipyard and a blowtorch:

Small Shipyard-> this gives you the ability to build Jetskis and makeshift rafts. It also serves as a garage for this small vehicles, you can add a gate to it by crafting a door of the tier u want and place it on the small shipyard (this is the same for the normal shipyard). To place it down you need 2 floating platforms and one side filled with pillars.

Shipyard-> This is a HUGE building u need to craft in order to make the high quality vehicles, with this you can build: Hovercrafts, Gunboat Erebos, Helicopter, Plane and the cargo ship (i might be missing one im not sure, tell me if i am :D).

Blowtorch-> This is a item that you need to craft in order to finish building your vehicles, when u first start the vehicle production the vehicle will appear in some sort of holographic state and you need to use a blowtorch on it to start building the vehicle (its amazing to watch). The blowtorch can also gather resources like metal and wood (Thanks to Daniel for telling me about this part :D).

Gathering Oil
Oil is essencial on most of the industrial and vehicle construction, and you can also fill up the gasoline of your vehicles by using it, to do this you need to open your inventory inside a vehicle and drag the oil to the drop zone. Now, to gather oil you need to go to a oil rig that is marked on the map with a square, when you get there you need to go to the top and use the valve that will give you 5 oil, thats the max you can carry.
In order for you to store your oil you can craft a Oil Barrel, this is needed if you want to have large quantities of oil with you because you cant store oil in in normal boxes. (thanks to owen for reminding me of this)

Turning simple water on will help find silica piles and putting plastic plates in to the furnace make plexiglass.

Btw right now there is a bug in the game that has been annoying me and probably everyone else that plays the game, if you go far away from your base and come back your boxes and furnaces or other stuff like that disapears for you, it happens mostly with these kind of objects but my friend also couldnt see a door and just ran throught it, will they fix this bug in the next update?

Hosting is a bit touchy at the moment, just make sure you stay up to date on Neist's Server management guide, as things change he edits the information there.

Prehaps will need Owen's help with one thing I got the server but I get Connection failed twice. and it disconnects from It alot of players try to make homehosted but can't. When I will understand the idea of the server will make a guide on how to host a home made server properly.

Alright, Tomorrow you should have all the damages for everything as long if I got a working server to test the guns on my friend either way it wont work. I will try to make a server but not sure if can do it home hosted.

Im going to make a new section for weapons, if you guys could send me some information about weapons (damage they deal to the body and to the head) would be amazing :D. I already know the pickaxe damage (5 in all parts of the body and 15 headshot). When i say weapons these include not only fireweapons but melee weapons like the pickaxe and harpoon to :)

Great guide. You need an Oil Barrel to store oil in your base, or else where, and it's explosive when shot.

If you need any additional images of the resource piles let me know. Happy to let you have any I've taken in game.
