Critics: what HunieCam Studio can learn from Haru Urare.

This is a post fits more in "discussion" category. However as steam discussion section is so mess up and heavily spammed, I decided to post it in Guide section. Plz feel free to move it to anywhere else if the mod feeds not suitable.

I jumped into the game blind-minded in the good old let's player fashion. Yeah I know what Huniecam Studio is, but I want to figure out the mechanics by myself. After a round or two, an idea immediately poped up in my mind, this game is in some way, remind me of one of my favorite game: Hare Urare, or its English name: Red-Light District Campus.

k. Let's examine the Hare Urare game, as the title says, it has a similar backstory with HunieCaming Studio, trying to figure out, what HunieCam could potentially benefit from it.

Released by Alice in 2010, Hare Urare, or Red-Light District Campus is a school-life simulation game in the most possibly fxxked up way. Same as HunieCam, you manage the bxtches, this case it's slavery, though.

So here comes the story in short: you entered a highschool, however, you quickly ended up working with school mafia gang, which is financed and manipulated by the very school headmaster himself. With the permission of headmaster, you kidnap innocent girls in campus with the help of the local gang, force them into prostitution. Here's a snapshot of girls you captured in game.

Well programmingly it's the same as HunieCam, new girls appeared in game via an effort (Agency or Gang), girls come with three properties: Style, Talent, Sanity. There is a limitation on the number of girls you could play with, rest are "stocked" in a hidden folder.

There is also a "special request", every week, the headmaster will bring a local politician coming with a s**t load of money, you need the matching traits to get it.
The major difference between the two game is, Haru Urare is a card-game like strategy game (alice soft itself is pretty much master of this kind of game), HunieCam Studio is a clicker game, with intense time management.

Okay, here comes the part HunieCam Studio falls short.

Haru Urare is customizable, but it's not the main selling point. What really matters is the characters themselves. Haru Urare has less characters than HunieCam Studio, but each of these character has a detailed, well-developed backstory, of which the player's action could potentially change it. (no spoilers, I mma not gonna tell stories of these 3 girls, check wiki if you want.) Each girl has more than one special scene (like you reached how much revenue from one girl, a special scene will show up with a bench of dialog, or a special service is met, etc.), I still remember the happiness I finally dig out the girl I want.

I think it's the point HunieCam falls short, even to, the old Huniepop. Although it sounds like creep, but interacting with characters is a lot of fun. Quite some ppl have a good time reading description of the girls about their own story, but after that, the pleasure starts to go downhill. (I don't mean the game mechanics, I personally enjoy it.) But all the cute girls in game deserve a better treatment than just pixels on screen.

Yeah, and including that Kyu-looking-like guy.

This does not need to be executed dogmatically, what about adding a Twitter/Facebook Timeline Feed-like Tab? Players can see girls chatting and s**t-posting around, daydreaming about what they will do with all the money they earned, and trophies or screen notifications for special girls events.

I agree with you. I do not feel connected to the girls in the game. I do not have time and ways to build the bond
