Find a Mate
A Mighty Wolf
Win 1 social encounter

Big Bad Wolf
Win 10 social encounters

King of the Hill
Win 50 social encounters

Create a new character who doesn't have experience points yet. Save the game right at the approach to the border of the strange wolf territory, then go ahead and find a wolf. Provoke your opponent by phrases.
  • «You're not my family» (your opponent will surrender without a fight)
  • «I want to be boss» (will lead to a fight)
  • «I'm boss, back off» (will lead to a fight)
Once you came out the winner from the first encounter - reload on save before entering the territory and repeat the same actions.

Charmless
Get rejected by a potential mate

Find the suitable mate (Dispersal Female or Dispersal Male) and choose a specific phrase in dialog with him/her:
  • «Do I know you?».

Happy Together
Get a mate!

Gain at least 800 XP. Find a suitable mate (Dispersal Female or Dispersal Male) and choose the following phrases in order:
  1. «Hello there»
  2. «I like you»
  3. «Let's play!»
  4. «Let's Start a Pack!»
  5. «Let's Start a Pack!»
Find a Den
No Place Like Home
Choose a den
Mark your Territory
It's Mine, All Mine!
Mark your territory in Slough Creek

Press the howl key a couple of times and jerk the character away from that action, such as by turning or stepping to the side. You'll instantly gain 8-11% to the yellow territory bar. Repeat this until you reach 100%.
Train your Pups
Because I Said So!
Finish training your pups

Proceed similarly to the hint for the «It's Mine, All Mine!» achievement, just in this case you'll be raising the blue «Affinity» parameter bar with howling, not the yellow one.
Defend your Pups
Nobody Messes with Me
Defend your den from predators
Grow your Pups
Ready for a Journey
Finish feeding and growing your pups

The puppy gains one pound if the player does not interrupt the feeding animation. In this way, you can fatten a puppy to the required weight immediately by feeding it five times in a row, and so on with each puppy.
Final Journey
For all achievements except «Survival of the Pack», a strictly defined number of puppies must reach the rendezvous site: 1 or 4, depending on the description. If you reach the rendezvous site with 2 or 3 puppies, you can only get the «Survival of the Pack» achievement.

Survival of the Pack
Bring your pups to the rendezvous site

That Was a Squeaker
Reach the rendezvous site with one pup, on Easy

A Howling Success
Reach the rendezvous site with four pups, on Challenging

And Then There Was One
Reach the rendezvous site with one pup, on Challenging

Happily Ever After
Reach the rendezvous site with four pups, on Challenging

The Lucky One
Reach the rendezvous site with one pup, on Arduous

Through the Gauntlet
Reach the rendezvous site with four pups, on Arduous

Last Pup Standing
Reach the rendezvous site with one pup, on Bring It On!

Against All Odds
Reach the rendezvous site with four pups, on Bring It On!

Start the game on the «Bring It On!» difficulty, somehow survive until "Final Journey" mission without losing any puppies, and make two saves: one with all four puppies, and one with one puppy. You need to get rid of three puppies beforehand.

Choose one of the saves and go on the journey. When you're almost there, save the game beforehand and keep going until you reach the rendezvous site and get one of the achievements for completing the game on the «Bring It On!» difficulty.

Load the save again where you and the puppies are almost to the rendezvous site, but now change the game's difficulty to any other below the current one and reach the rendezvous site again.
This will allow you to immediately get another, different achievement for the same number of puppies, but on a lower difficulty, and you won't have to start over and go through the game 8 times.

When you're done with the achievements with four puppies, go back to the save with one puppy and do the same thing, or vice versa.

One Big Happy
Multiplayer: Finish the game with at least one pup
Hare
A Tasty Morsel
Kill 1 hare

I’m Hunting Wabbits!
Kill 10 hares

The Hare Slayer
Kill 100 hares

The most hares I came across were on the map «Amethyst Mountain», not far from the place where the character appears — between two flowers. Save the game near this place, kill the hare and reload the save, and so on 100 times.
Elk
Teamwork
Multiplayer: Kill a cow elk together

Natural Selection FTW
Kill 1 cow elk

Thinning the Herd
Kill 10 cow elk

Tired of Elk Meat
Kill 100 cow elk

Strength in Numbers
Multiplayer: Kill a bull elk together

Bulls-Eye!
Kill 1 bull elk

Matador
Kill 25 bull elk

Exterminate herds of elk in the hunting areas marked with a red circle on the map. When you have finished with one herd, leave the red area and go to sleep. A new herd with new elk will appear in the hunting grounds. This way you will save time on searching for elks and you won't have to travel from one place to another all over the map.
To kill a bull elk you will need several carcasses of cow elk nearby to regenerate your health. The bull elk does much more damage and will kill you quickly if you don't heal.
The easiest way to get these achievements is with friends in multiplayer.
Moose
Mighty Moosers
Multiplayer: Kill a cow moose together

Don’t Moose With Us!
Multiplayer: Kill a bull moose together

Dinner Moosic
Kill 1 cow moose

Making Mooschief
Kill 10 cow moose

Many Moosen
Kill 25 cow moose

Once in a Blue Moose
Kill 1 Bull Moose

Not Moosing Around
Kill 25 Bull Moose

Moose are considered rare game, but they can often be found in the Sandbar Crossing area of the Slough Creek map during the winter season, during Dawn or Dusk.
In winter, moose lack some of their health that making them easier to hunt. Bull Moose roam without their antlers.
Go to the spot and look around. If no Moose are seen, go to sleep before Dusk or Dawn. When you wake up, look around again, and so on. Eventually you'll come across a Moose.
Be careful! Moose can appear quite far away, which can cause them to be confused with dark grass and not be seen. Pay attention to movement.
It is impossible to predict which moose you will meet — Bull or Cow, the chance is 50/50. The easiest way to earn these achievements is to play multiplayer with your friends, as Moose attack even harder than Bull Elk.

The Sound of Moosic
Watch two bull moose fighting

There is at least one stable spawn point for this event - on the «Amethyst Mountain» map between «Fossil Forest» and «Dead Tree».
Every time, if you wait a bit, two fighting moose will show up in this place, at Dawn or Dusk. As they fight, they are roaring loudly, clashing horns while making a lot of noise, so you will definitely hear them.
If the moose don't show up for a few minutes — sleep until Dusk or Dawn and try looking around again. Sooner or later moose will show up.

I Am Not A-Moosed
Lose your life to a moose
Fox
Pouncer
Watch a fox mousing in the grass

Deep Dive
Watch a fox mousing in the snow

Outfox the Fox
Kill a fox

The foxes must be watched in single player, but you can kill them in multiplayer as well. One fox appears consistently on the map «Slough Creek» near the player's spawn point, south of «Little Butte».
Mousing is one type of fox animation. You just need to follow them and wait for the desired animation. If you watch the whole animation until the end, you will get achievements.
A good way to kill a fox is to wait until the fox starts mousing, stand facing them and approach them until they runs. The fox will run forward, straight at you, and since you are facing them, you can easily bite them. After a few bites, the fox will slow down and you can catch up and kill them without any tricks.
Coyote
Coyote Killer
Kill 1 coyote

Coyote Nemesis
Kill 10 coyotes

Coyote Exterminator
Kill 100 coyotes

Many coyotes can be found during the «Defend your Pups» mission. Complete this mission until you have exterminated the entire population.
Wolf
Puppy Rescuer
Chase away 1 predator wolf

Quick-footed
Chase away 10 predator wolves

Defender in Chief
Chase away 50 predator wolves

Wolves will attack the den during the «Defend your Pups» mission. Deflect wolf attacks to get these achievements.
Wolves are more likely to approach the den if the yellow bar is at zero. The yellow bar will go down on its own if you don't mark the territory for a long time.
Bear
Nervy
Chase away 1 grizzly bear

Gutsy
Chase away 10 grizzlies

Fearless
Chase away 50 grizzlies

Use the «Defend your Pups» mission, many bears will also appear during this mission.
Bears are more likely to approach the den if the yellow bar is at zero. The yellow bar will go down on its own if you don't mark the territory for a long time.

An Error in Judgment
Lose your life to a grizzly bear
Cougar
Hissy Fit
Chase away 1 cougar

Scaredy Cats
Chase away 10 cougars

Canines Rule
Chase away 50 cougars

One cougar will definitely attack the den when doing the «Defend your Pups» mission. When you find the right moment - create a save before the cougar arrives, and reload this save every time until you get the achievement.
This method only works with the cougar! The other predators appear completely randomly when completing the «Defend your Pups» mission.

Hello, Kitty
Provoke a lounging cougar

A cougar is considered lounging if they is lying on a rock.
They can easily be found on the Slough Creek map, at a point between the two eastern dens.
I've been able to catch the cougar more than once while raising puppies, when I'm just running around. But I've only had them at night, and it's not easy to spot their presence: a cougar is not visible in scent view.
Approach the cat and wait for it to hiss at you, and the achievement is obtained.

Bye-bye, Kitty
Kill a cougar

I got lucky and the cougar appeared suddenly near the carcass while I was doing another achievement. I just waited for them, and I am not aware of any specific cougar spawn points in the game.
Cougars are very hard to chase, but they will never get into water and will always turn back after running out onto a stream or lake. You can use the rivers on the «Slough Creek» map to turn the cougar toward you and keep it from running away. You will have about 1 second to strike, then continue chasing and chase the cougar back to the creek to repeat the whole cycle.
Do this until you kill the cat. It is recommended to hunt the cougar with increased character speed.

Just Embarrassing
Lose your life to a cougar

The easiest way would be to just let the cougar kill your character during the «Defend your Pups» mission. She'll definitely come.
Eagle
To the Skies
Chase away 1 eagle

Eagle Eye
Chase away 10 eagles

You're Ill-Eagle!
Chase away 50 eagles

Eagles are the only opponents you won't get experience points for. That's a shame. But you'll get achievements by chasing the birds away time after time during the «Defend your Pups» mission.
Rank
Your character gains experience for almost any action in the game: hunting, fighting, feeding pups, marking territory, etc.
I recommend that you gain XP on the same character, because I did exactly that and I don't know for sure if the total XP of all your wolves affects the progress of these achievements.
It's better to do the rank achievements last — take all the hunting and den defense achievements first, and you'll have already gained about 40,000-60,000 XP. After that, you can proceed to the ranks.

Rank: Newborn
Unlocked with 1 XP

Rank: Pup
Unlocked with 800 XP

Rank: Young Hunter
Unlocked with 3,000 XP

Rank: Yearling
Unlocked with 10,000 XP

Rank: Skilled Hunter
Unlocked with 20,000 XP

Rank: Packmate
Unlocked with 40,000 XP

Rank: Expert Wolf
Unlocked with 80,000 XP

Rank: Pack Elder
Unlocked with 200,000 XP

How to get more XP?
In my opinion, the most effective way to gain XP is to endlessly cycle through the «Defend Your Pups» mission on the «Bring It On!» difficulty, when your den is being actively attacked by predators. And even when the game informs you that the mission has been completed and it's time to move on to the next step — still stay at the den using the «Stay at the Den» button and continue to fend off the attacks.

Preparing:
  1. Lower the yellow bar that is responsible for the territory marking to 0%.
  2. Stock up on puppy food to the fullest: so that you have enough for 5 times.
  3. Carry one of the pups as far away from the den as your stamina will allow you to do so.
  4. Recover your stamina after a walk with a puppy in your mouth. The puppy will try to run back to the den — block they path with your body, don't let them move from the spot.
  5. Save the game in a separate slot — this will be the permanent reload slot, where you will return again and again to repeat the coming hell cycle for the sake of achievement.
Cycle:
  1. Return to the den the puppy we carried away from there, +50 XP.
  2. Feed the puppies 5 times in a row, +50 XP.
  3. Chase away large predators: bears, wolves. Ignore coyotes and eagles, they are a waste of time. Only do this step if the den is being raided by large predators. I have a theory that bears and wolves are more likely to approach the den if the yellow bar is completely empty, so only proceed to the next step in the cycle if large predators have stopped coming to the den.
  4. Raise the yellow bar by howling — press the howl key a couple of times, then turn your character sharply to the side, which will instantly give you XP without having to wait for the end of the howl animation. Do this until you fill the bar completely. This will eventually give you ~90 XP.
  5. The hellish cycle is over. Save the game in another, one more slot — this will be the slot where you will be permanently saving to after completing the cycle. This is needed to save your current amount of experience so that it doesn't fade into nothingness.
  6. Load your first save and start all over again.
You can gain 10,000 XP in about an hour. If you're lucky with large predators, you can gain the same amount of XP in half an hour.
More information about XP can be found on the fan wikipedia[wolfquest.fandom.com].

You can track the amount of XP gained in the «Pack Stats» section.
Scent View
What Smells?
Use your scent view

In the default settings, the scent view is activated by pressing the «V» key, and that's all you need to do — just press this key and enter the scent view. The view is deactivated in the same way.
Cattle Ranch
Bark Bark BANG!
Lose your life at the cattle ranch

ENG:
The cattle ranch is located on the «Slough Creek» map and is indicated by the fence icon on the compass. Cattle ranch sorties are only available in the single player game, during any of the puppy raising missions.
Sneak onto the ranch, scare the cows or gnaw on a calf. When the dog barking rises, you can expect a bullet to the head.
The achievement will be obtained when the character is killed by a shot.

So with the Seen It all achievement, I literally thought of dead human remains because I a morbid like that I was suppose. So when I got the achievement I was so confused thinking "I SAW NOT ON DEAD BODY!" Legit took me a minute.

ANYWAY...
Great Guide. Super Helpful!

FYI for the 'Hello, Kitty' achievement, a much easier way of getting it is find the black cat in lost river and startling it. It's by the town hall on the same street as the theatre and perched on one of the podiums at the hall. I recommend going around dusk for it to spawn.

(if you're wondering which boot, it's the amethyst mountain boot i'm looking for.)
