Supreme Helper Minion in 1 hour

Long, but simple and thorough guide on how get the "Supreme Helper Minion!" achievement in an hour or less!

Introduction

Most people who have played since 1.3 came out know that there is one achievement they have a hard time getting, you know the one, Supreme Helper Minion. 200 fishings quests is a lot, no doubt about it. Considering the fact that you can only complete 1 quest / terraria day, which is 26 minutes. Some quick math shows : 200 x 26 = 5200 minutes / 60 = 86.6666667 hours. In other words, IT TAKES TOO LONG TO DO IT!

Now of course there already good ways to doing these quests, such as multiple worlds, or Enchanted Sundial, but today, you will be abusing the heckle out of your save files to solve this problem.

The following guide will be long, no doubt about it, however the steps should be easy to follow, so easy, I bet that a 4 year old can follow them to. No seriously, lets bet.

Getting Ready

In order to do this, you'll need some things beforehand. Let's assume you are well advanced enough in the game for you to actually do this and proceed with this.

THING YOU WILL NEED

• Bed
  
• Chest
  
• Fishing Rod + Bait
  
• Magic Mirror or better
  
• Building Materials

Once you got all of that, you will perferably want to create a small, expert world. This way, you'll have less time finding your Angler, and you'll get more money from completing his quests.

Step 1 - Angler and House

Once you've made your world, got to either sides of the world and find that angler. If he's floating in the water, wait for him to come closer to the edge of the sand so when you talk with him, he'll be on land. Also, if he's on land, it'll be easier to trap him.



You want to trap him because we dont want him to wander off, or die in the process.

In the meantime, you can build a functional house that will give you space for your bed, and some table and chairs for the Angler to move in later.



MAKE SURE TO SET YOUR SPAWN IN THE BED!
MAKE SURE THAT HE ANGLER MOVES INTO THE HOUSE, NOT THE GUIDE!

Once that is done, go and find that quest fish the Angler gives. There are many guides alrady on where to locate these fish, so feel free to look those up. DO NOT HAND IN THE QUEST FISH WHEN YOU GET IT!



Put that fish in the chest and wait for night time for the Angler to be in the house.

Step 2 - World Copying

You read the title, we are going to start copying some worlds!
Now, by now, the Angler should've moved in the house, and your spawn point is also in the house, with the Quest fish in the the chest. Got that? Good.

First thing you're gonna do is locate your world files. GENERALLY the files are located under
Libraries > My Documents > My Games > Terraria > Worlds
If that is not there, you may have to consult google and figure out the problem, becuase I am not google.


Now, you need to figure out how many copies you'll need. Find your achievements list on steam, go find Super Helper Minion, do 200 - (x), where x is the amount of quests youve done (It will be shown as x/200)



Whatever number you get, thats how many copies you will need. SO START COPYING THE HECKLE OUT OF THE WORLD.
MAKE SURE TO COPY THE .wld WORLD, NOT THE .wld.bak ONE!


Once you've got enough copies, launch terraria, and get ready for the grind.

Step 3 - The Minutely Grind

Now with all the worlds there, start that grind!

Enter the world, take the fish, give it to the Angler, exit, delete world, move on to the next. Rinse and repeat as many times as it takes.
This process takes max 15 seconds or so, so with more math we see: 200 x 15 = 3000 seconds / 60 = 50 mins + 11 mins,15 sec (for night time) + 5 mins (for copying) = 66 mins and 15 seconds. Practically an hour



If you lack quests, just copy more worlds.
That's it really.

Conclusion

Well there you go, now the secret is exposed. Well, it wasn't a secert, people found this loophole ages ago, but no one wants to share it.
I personaly think this isn't cheating, you physically have to do many things in order to accomplish this task, and not change a few numbers.

Make copies of your world at night time before you give the quest fish, then hand in the fish in the copied world.
