Add Xbox 360/DualShock 4 controller prompts to Samurai Warriors 4-II

Installation Button prompts

1. Download the mod: Xbox 360[www.dropbox.com] / DualShock 4[www.dropbox.com]

2. Navigate to the "Data" folder inside the games directory. (You can easily find the directory by right clicking the game in your steam library and selecting: Properties->Local Files->Browse Local Files...)

3. Unpack the contents of the file you downloaded inside the Data folder.

4. Start Patch.bat, you might need to start it as administrator, and choose if you want to backup LINKDATA_1ST_ENG.BIN. (Note: creating a backup might take several minutes)

5. Done.

Installation Xbox One Controller fix

1. Download the fix from here[www.dropbox.com]

2. Navigate to the game directory. (You can easily find the directory by right clicking the game in your steam library and selecting: Properties->Local Files->Browse Local Files...)

3. Unpack the contents of the file you downloaded inside the game directory.

Oh well, I'd like to say THANK YOU with a big smile!!! I refunded the game, then bought a dualshock 4 and tried again, no luck. But then with this guide I was able to play both controllers and see the proper prompt buttons!!!!!

For anyone following the instructions and it still not working disable steam input right click on your game in steam library > click properties > controller tab> click on the drop down button to the right > disable steam input,

if it still isn't working create a new save game because i think it saved the old controls

How do I fix the flipped button? Mine put X to confirm instead of A. And Y to back instead of B. Also, the start and select button seems not working

IT WORKS! I can now move the camera around with the right stick. Only used the fix for Xbox One Controller as I own an Elite Series 2. Currently working for: Samurai Warriors 4-II and Dynasty Warriors 7 Xtreme Legends (in the last one, B is for accept and A for cancel in menus).

For the love of god, do NOT use Xinput or any of the "Fixes" you see in the comments below. If you're paying for an input mapper, especially any version of Xinput, you're being scammed. The only one you'd ever need is Antimicro and that's free. Xinput is REALLY bad, causes controller plugin issues requiring you to reinstall windows or manually go through and delete hundreds of xinput "devices" from your device manager to get your controllers working again normally, and a whole other host of nasty stuff.

Also, yeah. W-force just doesn't know how to code, I guess. This fix didn't seem to work, as the controller was already working but had the triggers being used for camera, ect. Trying to find a fix for that is hell. Like why couldn't Koei/W-force just make it WORK?
