Classes
There are currently 80 classes in Tree of Savior and more classes to be added later in the future. Players will start from four basic classes, Swordsman, Wizard, Archer and Cleric. The “novice” class is not implemented in the game. Upon reaching a certain level, players can choose to advance to upper classes or continue to develop existing class. There are a total of 10 class advancements from the most basic to the highest rank! To advance to higher rank classes, there are master NPCs who helps the growth of each class. Each class has at least five Skills.

There are also some hidden classes that requires certain specific requirements in order to achieve it. There are no criminal classes such as thief class.

Class Circles
Class Circle is the depth of advancement of each class. Each class has a limit of three class circles. For example at rank 1, if you start with Swordsman, you are at Swordsman Rank 1 Circle 1. Similarly when you level into a Elementalist at rank 4, you are Elementalist Rank 4 Circle 1.

Using the Swordsman example, at Rank 2 you can advance into Highlander and Peltasta. However, if you wish to continue to use Swordsman, you can advance into Swordsman Rank 2 Circle 2. The highest circle each class can advance to is Circle 3, or Swordsman Rank 3 Circle 3. For the Elementalist example, the highest circle will be Elementalist Rank 6 Circle 3.

Higher circle classes unlocks new and more powerful skills. During class advancement, all previous skills are carried forward to your current class.
Class builder
If you have a problem in choosing / deciding the classes, you can check out http://www.tosbase.com/tools/class-builder/ or http://www.tosbase.com/tools/skill-simulator/ first to build your class. (EDIT) the game was updated and i did not play the game already, any one interested in being admin to help edit and update the guild please feel free to comment, as long as you are willing to improve this guide to help others ! Thanks and enjoy your game !

@sigh of dog:
Q: Is there a quick way to get a feel for what exactly a class is all about and what skills they get at what circles?
A: Yes. Check out tosbase.com

Q: If you can only reach Rank 7 does that mean you can only reach up to Circle 1 of a rank 7 class, or Circle 2 of a rank 6 class?
A: At the moment, yes. Again, check out the skill calculator at tosbase.com

Q: It even worth it to even mess with any class above rank 5 yet?
A: Definitely, yes.

Q: Is it generally balanced enough that if you decide to get Rank 1 and 2 classes both to Circle 3, would that equate in power to ranking up to a Rank 7 class at Circle 1?
A: Very subjective question, but I would say yes as long as you know where to spend your skill points.

This helps me at least start to understand the basics of the class system in this game but ther eare still many quesions. Is there a quick way to get a feel for what exactly a class is all about and what skills they get at what circles? And if you can only reach Rank 7 does that mean you can only reach up to Circle 1 of a rank 7 class, or Circle 2 of a rank 6 class? Thus is it even worth it to even mess with any class above rank 5 yet? Also, is it generally balanced enough that if you decide to get Rank 1 and 2 classes both to Circle 3, would that equate in power to ranking up to a Rank 7 class at Circle 1?

@GamerEX You can advance as long as you're Class lv. 15 and you're not Rank 7. Once you hit Class level 15, you need to do a quest, then once you turn that in, you advance classes. Once you're Rank 7, you can no longer advance.

The point of advancing in a circle is, first of all, to advance more skill ranks in any skill you had before advancing, and to unlock skills exclusive to deeper circles of a class.
