Schwanenburg

The Schwanenburg (Swan Castle) is located in the german city of Kleve.

The castle was build in the 11. century, making it Kleve's landmark ever since. With the centuries it changed much, was it just a tower originally. It was heavily damaged in WW2 and had to be repaired and partly rebuild, removing some of it's old charme. Nontheless the castle is visible from almost everywhere in the city, so that it is usually assicated with the city directly, and the other way around.
