A guide on how to obtain all of the achievements in Hyperdimension Neptunia U: Action Unleashed.

Achievements marked with an asterisk (*) are missable achievements.
Achievements not marked are either story-related or needs grinding.



Chapter 1 Clear!
Cleared Chapter 1 in Story mode.

Chapter 2 Clear!
Cleared Chapter 2 in Story mode.
(You should have 50.7% Quest Completion Rate right
before taking on the last Story/Irregular Quest.)

Chapter 3 Clear!
Cleared Chapter 3 in Story mode.
(You should have 85.3% Quest Completion Rate
right before taking on the Final Boss.)

Neptune, I Choose You!
Right at the start of the game, you will be able to choose between Neptune or Nepgear as your starting character. If you chose Neptune, you will earn this achievement.
"Nepgear, I Choose you!" achievement will occur right after the prologue cutscene.

Nepgear, I Choose You!
Right at the start of the game, you will be able to choose between Neptune or Nepgear as your starting character. If you chose Nepgear, you will earn this achievement.

Journalistic Integrity
You'll get this achievement at the end of Chapter 1.


The Purple Haze
Selected Neptune and Nepgear for a Quest.


The Double Negative
Selected Noire and Uni for a Quest.


The Happy Family
Selected Blanc and either Rom or Ram for a Quest.


It Was Bound To Happen
Selected Vert and Nepgear for a Quest.


Anything For A Scoop
Selected Dengekiko and Famitsu for a Quest.


Character-driven Game
Used all characters in Quests.

Eternal Combo Champion Redux
Performed a 999-hit combo.
This will come along naturally as you play the game.

Reaper of Souls
Defeated 999 enemies in a single Quest.
This will also come along naturally as you play the game.
Clash = Number of enemies defeated.

Maximum Firepower
Dealt 9,999,999 damage in a combo.
This will come along naturally as you play the game as well,
but only in the later part of the game.

Uphill Struggle
You'll need to equip the accessory "Forced LV.1 Belt" and complete a Quest.
You'll be given this accessory at the beginning of the game.
This belt will lock your level at 1 and stats at base level.

It Done Got Ripped!
Triggered Costume Break during a Quest.
Taking enough damage or using strong attacks will trigger this scene.

HDDimension
Cleared a Quest with HDD mode active.
Simply fill up the EXE drive gauge until you are able to activate HDD.
Note that you must finish the quest while in HDD mode.

EXE Drive
Used EXE Drive.
You'll need to activate HDD form in order to use EXE Drive.
(You'll be able to use EXE Drive without activating HDD after completing Story Mode.)

Lily Special
Learned a Lily Special.
Clear any of the five character missions at Valtena's Path during Chapter 3.
You'll learn the characters' Lily Special after completing the mission.

Audiomension
Performed a Sound Test.
Go to World Map Menu > Sound and simply play any song to obtain this achievement.

CPU Voyeur
Watched a CPU go about her daily duties.
Go to World Map Menu > City Watch and simply watch any events to obtain this achievement.

Please Help!*
Uncovered Irregular Quest Conditions.
These quests will first appear on Chapter 2 and will have a red background.
To obtain this achievement, get into one of these red quests and simply abandon it.


Max Level
Raised a character's level to 99.

The First Taste
Won the Gamindustri Gauntlet for the first time.
See "Gauntlet Domination" for more information.

Gauntlet Domination
All characters won the Gamindustri Gauntlet at least once.
Gamindustri Gauntlet will appear on the Main Menu once
you've completed the Story mode.

Each Gauntlet consists of 4 matches, and you'll need to win it 18 times with 18 characters.
(HDD Forms are counted as one character too, thus adding up to 18).

This achievement is linked to "Accessory Fanatic" as you'll also need 18 accessories
won from Gamindustri Gauntlet using the respective 18 characters.
Just to be clear, the 18 characters are as followed:

Achievements 2/3

The First Climb
Cleared Neptral Tower for the first time.
See "Neptral Force" for more information.

Neptral Force
All characters cleared Neptral Tower.
Neptral Tower will appear on the Main Menu once you've cleared Gamindustri Gauntlet at least once using any character.

Neptral Tower is a 50 floor dungeon which consists of different enemies and difficulty fluctuate as you progress through the tower. At the top of the tower is a Next-Gen Mech. In order to obtain this achievement, you'll need to clear Neptral Tower with all 10 characters (HDD Forms not included).

However, you will be running the tower in pairs and therefore will only need to complete it 5 times.
The fastest approach to obtain this achievement is to complete all of the floors in the same pairs.
(Meaning to say that if you're to choose Neptune and Nepgear, you must stick with this pairing all the way to floor 50 and do the same for the other 4 pairings.)

Although the above approach will get you the achievement faster,
you'll still need to farm Lily Ranks and is therefore not advisable to do so.
[Unless you don't mind replaying the same stages over and over again.]

The other approach to this while also farming Lily Ranks is to simply
switch pairings once you've reach Lily Rank 9 for that specific pairing.
(E.g. Neptune and Nepgear reached Lily Rank of 9, switch Neptune or
Nepgear with another character and start moving up the floors of
Neptral Tower to fully maximise how much Lily Rank you can gain.)

See "Lily Lord" for more information on Lily Rank Grinding.

The Spectral One
Defeated Next-Gen Mech at the top of Neptral Tower at Level 1.
You'll need to equip "Forced LV.1 Belt" and defeat Next-Gen Mech at the top of Neptral Tower.

Method 1: Use cheats. (More on this at the bottom of the page)
Method 2: Use characters that has a long ranged attack, flinches enemy upon hit, does a whole lot of combos or a mix of those. Make sure to keep your distance as it is able to one/two-hit you.

Event Master*
Watched all events.
You'll need to watch all events in "City Watch",
"Game News" and Story Mode events as well.


Gamindustri Gauntlet and Neptral Tower events are not counted.

Be aware that events are missable. View those events when the word "NEW!" appears.
Some of the events will unlock quests as well so be sure to view them all.

To add on, you'll also need to unlock character events and view them as well.
Therefore, there will be an additional of 30 events that you must unlock.
(3 Events per Character)

The requirements are:
(1) Trigger Costume Break 3 times.
(2) Trigger Costume Break 6 times.
(3) Clearing 3 Quests.

Quest Master*
Cleared all Quests in Story mode.
There are a total of 75 Quests that you must complete.
(Quests highlighted in blue are Story/Irregular quests)

DLC Quests are not counted for this achievement!

Each quest gives 1.33% Quest Completion Rate.
(Take note that you should always do Story/Irregular Quests LAST as you might accidentally proceed to the next chapter.)
[Just make sure to save regularly and save before completing Story/Irregular Quests.]

As mentioned above on clearing Chapter 2 & 3, you should have 50.7% and 85.3%
Quest Completion Rate respectively if you're aiming for Quest Master achievement as well.

Medal Fanatic
Acquired all Medal Bonuses.
You'll need to obtain every medal award from the Medal Collection through grinding the respective monsters repeatedly.

An easier approach to this will be to complete "The Spectral One" and obtain the accessory "Fever Slot" which doubles the amount of medals earned.

Lily Lord
Raised the Lily Rank of all characters to MAX.
MAX Lily Rank = Lily Rank of 10.
As there are 10 characters in the game, you will need to grind a total of 45 pairings.

However, you will only need to raise them to a Lily Rank of 9.
Why is this so? This is due to the fact that completing "Neptral Force" will increase everyone's Lily Rank by 1 (after viewing the event).

As mentioned in "Neptral Force", you would want to start switching pairs once you've gotten a Lily Rank of 9 for a specific pair. Then repeating this process until you got 45 pairings with a Lily Rank of 9 and completing floor 50 at the same time would increase everyone's Lily Rank to 10.

It takes 3 floors/quests to increase a Lily Rank by 1, and would therefore take approximately 20-25 floors to max a Lily Rank (depending on the initial level of Lily Rank between each pairing).
[Lily Rank 7-8 and 8-9 takes 2 floors/quests.]

A popular grinding location would be Floor 5 of Neptral Tower (as there's only one enemy).
Alternatively, you could enable the "1 Hit Kill" cheat and repeat Floor 44-46, 44-47 or
44-48 (Depending on your preference).
Ultimately, the best place to farm Lily Ranks is still in Neptral Tower.

Misc

I would also like to mention that there are in fact, cheats in this game.
Some people might not like the idea of playing it this way as they would prefer to enjoy the game.
As the game is already relatively easy (to a certain extent), there might be no other reason to use it other than Lily Rank Grinding (also to a certain extent).
However said, I would still like to put it up here for those who are interested in it.

@LoneWolf, not that I know of. I started with the goddess story though, so I might just not have been affected by it. But there's no difference which story you begin with, so no harm with doing that I guess :P

Hi, Great Guide.

I was looking at the PlayStation Trophies Guide & it says " WARNING: Make sure to start with the Goddess prologue. There has been a report of the four Chapter 1 related trophies not unlocking when the Candidate prologue is selected. Whether this is an isolated case or a potential widespread problem is unknown, but since you have to play both anyway to clear Chapter 1, just pick the Goddess prologue at the menu screen to ensure you earn these trophies the first time."

Is this glitch also on PC?

And check the city hall everytime you complete a quest. Also im pretty sure you have to see all the events in one playthrough.

Do the non-red quests first. Doing the red quests first would force the game to skip to the next chapter which would make you miss out on some normal quests/events. Also don't forget to do the costume breaks events and the one event you get for abandoning a red quest.

About the Event Master achievement, I can't unlock it for some reason. I might be doing something wrong, but I've played the game from the start twice and every time checked the NEW! events. Should I do the non-red quests first? Please help.
