Hmm, play much and memorize the song will makes you better.
In the first time you just need to clear and get all song with any result, then just try 1 song to be mastered. I always play a hardest song more than 30-60x to master it, just like in this video.
So yeah, rhythm game takes time. If you always practice, I believe you could be as good as ranked players out there
*Tips: Headphone will help you to hear the beat, I always use headphone while practicing and recording.
