How to Configure DosBox
Open you Master of Orion 2 local files folder by right clicking on Master of orion 2 in steam->Local Files tab-> Browse Local files

Important Note:The server game must be started before the clients are started.

The server and client machines must be configured differently.

For server:
Open the dosboxMOO2.conf file in notepad
Open the dosboxMOO2_server.conf file in another instance of notepad
Copy the contents of the dosboxMOO2_server.conf file and paste them at the end of the dosboxMOO2.con file
save dosboxMOO2.conf

if you are hosting over the internet, you may need to forward udp port 213 to your machine.

Start the game and you will see some text before the first normal screen appears, but you are ready to go! :)

For Client:
Open the dosboxMOO2.conf file in notepad
Open the dosboxMOO2_client.conf file in another instance of notepad
in the line that says IPXNET CONNECT add the server's IPAddress so the line looks something like this: IPXNET CONNECT 192.168.0.14
save that file if you wish.
Copy the contents of the dosboxMOO2_client.conf file and paste them at the end of the dosboxMOO2.con file
save dosboxMOO2.conf

Start the game and you will see some text before the first normal screen appears, but you are ready to go! :)

Sorry I should re-clarify: IF you're hosting locally, i.e. on your own internet, then you can use your computer's local IP. IF you're doing internet hosting use your global IP address instead, though this will change every once in a while if you dont own a static IP

Works great! Went with the port forwarding option and all running smoothly! Important to note for those new to port forwarding, where you modify the IP address in the IPXNET CONNECT line make sure to add your computer's local IP address, not your global ip. Other than that, do exactly as mentioned above and you should have no troubles hosting/playing locally or globally!

I've been trying to follow these instructions but I can't find a config file called dosboxMOO2.conf . The only config files I could find in the MOO2 folder are: Launch.conf, Preflight.conf and Preferences.conf. How do I find the dosboxMOO2.conf file ?
