How to run Star Wars Galatic Battlegrounds and play Multiplayer

To get your game to work first of all you will need to install Voobly.

1. first of all go to http://www.voobly.com/ and download the program.
2. install it this program and while doing that make a free account on this site.
3. Once logged in go to the right tab and look for SWGB - Clone Campaigns, under that catagory double click CS/DM/RM...
4. once you are in there the program will update and isntall stuff into star wars galatic battlegrounds folder in steam.
5, once it's all installed and restarted go back into the SWGB tab and repeat step 3.
6. if the program found the game and stuff you will now be able to play star wars galatic battlegrounds in steam.
7. It will do the whole video process first. Just skip that by double pressing esc. Then the game should finally Launch.

So far this process is only way to get the campaign running with dlc. Music still won't work but you can just run that on background with vlc.

If you want to Play Multiplayer/ Widescreen

1. If you want to play multiplayer online you can go to Voobly and click Quick Host.
2. you can add all the settings and stuff.
3. you can click game, resolutuion tool, Force Desktop Resolution in game.
4. now you launch the game and it will go into the normal Star Wars multiplayer setup menu.

Wide screen only works in multiplayer but if you want to play by your self, you do the whole multiplayer proccess but not add anyone and just add bots.

Windows 7 here, thanks for the multiplayer info. feels nice to play a gem with people even after the death of Gamespy.

On Windows 11, I could not get the local lan multiplayer to work. We used to use an IPX connection, but that is no longer an option in Windows 11. I found IPXWrapper (http://www.solemnwarning.net/ipxwrapper/) which works great. My brother and I were able to play without any issues. You'll need to copy the DDL files to ..\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\STAR WARS - Galactic Battlegrounds Saga\Game and add the registry entries (just double click on them).

Just bought this again after not playing for about 15 years and wanted to go online with my cousin. Voobly was the only program that allowed multiplayer to work, tried quite a few of them.
