General Tips for Achievements
Two-Player Game is Best
For most of these achievements (other than the one that requires you play with 4 Vanderbot Jr), it is recommended that the game be played with one other computer player. Even though this means that double-tracking is not allowed, it provides hope that the opponent will stall so you could possibly draw more tickets or lay down routes, especially shorter ones.

Try for One Achievement at a Time
It is recommended that you have an achievement you want in mind. Then, start the game and look at the destination tickets. If the tickets are good, play the game, otherwise restart for new destination tickets.

However, it might be a good idea to finish games even if you ultimately lose, because of the Conductor achievements.
Conductor and Pressure Guage Achievements
Conductor Achievements
This one requires you play a certain number of games to unlock. Some of these are a bit insane, especially the Conductor Level 4 and Conductor Level 5 achievements. By playing 5-minute games, it would take ~417 hours and ~1667 hours respectively. Well, keep playing I guess.
  • Conductor Level 1: Play 20 games
  • Conductor Level 2: Play 100 games
  • Conductor Level 3: Play 1,000 games
  • Conductor Level 4: Play 5,000 games
  • Conductor Level 5: Play 20,000 games
Pressure Guage Achievements
This one requires you to win the game achieving the number of points. Since the game does not restrict which version you play, it is recommended to achieve these achievements by playing the Mega variant for this.
  • Pressure Gauge 80: Score 80+
  • Pressure Guage 120: Score 120+
  • Pressure Guage 160: Score 160+
  • Pressure Guage 200: Score 200+
  • Pressure Guage 240: Score 240+
  • Pressure Guage 300: Score 300+ (Mega variant only
  • Pressure Guage 400: Score 400+ (Mega variant only
USA (standard game)
Hobo: Win without completing any tickets
This one requires speed in ending the game, and hoping the opponent does not complete tickets either. Try to hoard cards until you are able to claim the six-car routes, and if necessary, block the opponent from completing tickets to lower their score.

Trestle: Win using no 1 or 2-space routes
Just be careful where you place routes, and go the long way if necessary to avoid short-car trains. There are some places you most avoid, such as Boston, Washington, and Charleston. I would recommend drawing large transcontinential tickets for this one, and to avoid any tickets that go through the grey routes in the middle. It is also a good idea to block the opponent if the route is 3 trains or longer so they cannot complete their tickets.

Hand Car Win without using any locomotives
This one should not be too difficult to accomplish. Just play as usual, but make sure that you have enough train cards of the color you need to play any routes. You can have locomotives in your hand, but are not allowed to use any to get the achievement.

Transcontinental Win with a continuous route of 45 trains
This one requires planning a route of 45-cars, I would suggest starting either in a top-corner (either Vancouver or Montreal) and working your way around the board. Just be cautious of the number of trains you have left, as you must use all trains that need to form one long 45-car train.

Coal Tender Win while claiming all black routes
There are seven black routes on the board.
  1. Los Angeles-El Paso
  2. Winnipeg-Deluth
  3. Denver-Saint Louis
  4. Sault St Marie-Montreal
  5. Chicago-Pittsburgh
  6. New York-Washington
  7. Nashville-Raleigh
For this achievement, you are not allowed to claim black routes by placing orange cards on the black/orange routes. Therefore claiming all black routes will cost you 27 black cards (or locomotives), which is quite a difficult feat within itself, let alone also winning the game as well.

Sadly, I'm still working on completing this one, so I have no further advice to offer.

Economy Class: Win without having more than 10 train cards in hand at any time.
This one requires careful attention to the number of train cards in your hand. Locomotives (from the face-up pile) now become a valuable resouce as you cannot hoard cards anymore.

Poker Player: Win while claiming all "5" routes.
There are eight 5-routes you need to claim:
  1. Portland-San Francisco
  2. San Francisco-Salt Lake City
  3. Helena-Omaha
  4. Phoenix-Denver
  5. El Paso-Oklahoma City
  6. Sault St Marie-Montreal
  7. Saint Louis-Pittsburgh
  8. Atlanta-Miami
I would recommend drawing low-value tickets you will not complete, and trying to finish the game as quickly as possible. The extra five-trains could be used to block the opponent from completing their routes, as this will be a low-score game.

Old Movies: Win while only claiming grey routes.
This achievement requires a bit of luck, and lots of patience. I would recommend careful studying of destination tickets to make sure you can get there going on grey routes only. The six-car train from Winnipeg-Sault St Marie becomes crucial, being the only large route you are allowed to place.

The two four-car routes, Seattle to Calgary and Calgary to Helena, are also necessary, since this will likely be a low-scoring game.

Railway Tycoon: Win while playing against 4 Vanderbot Jr
This one just requires playing the standard game with 4 Vanderbot Jr. Basically, the bot which wants to finish the game as quickly as possible.

Dynamite Joe Win without your opponent(s) having completed any of their tickets.
It just requires you to block the opponent with any opportunity, and attempt to finish the game before the opponent is able to draw more tickets.
Punched Ticket Achievements (standard game)
Punched Tickets
This one requires you complete at least the minimum number of tickets to unlock. This achievement is only valid for the standard game on the USA map.
  • 3 Punched Tickets: 3 completed tickets
  • 6 Punched Tickets: 6 completed tickets
  • 9 Punched Tickets: 9 completed tickets
  • 12 Punched Tickets: 12 completed tickets
  • 15 Punched Tickets: 15 completed tickets
Getting 15+ Punched Tickets!
This is one of the more difficult ones to achieve. You are literally at the mercy of the computer player in hopes the game does not end otherwise you cannot lay down more trains or draw more destination tickets. There were many games where I got close (roughly 12ish tickets), but I typically either ran out of time, trains, or destination cards. I fincally completed this achievement, and will share my strategies and suggestions for this time-consuming feat:

One Opponent Only:
I choose to play with a single Stanbot as my opponent. Even though double-tracking is not allowed, it makes it easier for you to play a longer game, as sometimes the opponent would rather draw more cards instead of ending the game. Since the game automatically ends when a single player has two or less trains, playing with fewer opponents would give you more chances for a longer game.

Consider your Route Carefully
Try your best not to deviate from your planned route. Have a strategy to always try the same route over and over, and only end the game if alternative routes are too costly in terms of trains. There are some places that cost me many tickets, such as the one time I could not make it to Los Angeles.

Think Small Routes
While you waste adequate turns laying down small routes, it gives you more opportunities to score more destination tickets. Therefore, going to places such as Denver, El Paso, Houston, and Deluth are all great routes to spur from.

I finally did it! 16 punched tickets!

Completed tickets: 16
Vancouver-Montreal, Dallas-New York, Vancouver-Santa Fe, Montreal-Atlanta, Los Angeles-New York, Montreal-New Orleans, San Francisco-Atlanta, Kansas City-Houston, New York-Atlanta, Portland-Nashville, Seattle-New York, Chicago-New Orleans, Denver-Pittsburgh, Seattle-Los Angeles, Chicago-Santa Fe, Denver-El Paso

Did not complete: 5
Toronto-Miami, Calgary-Salt Lake City Portland-Phoenix, Deluth-Houston, Sault St Marie-Oklahoma City

USA 1910 (Mega)
First Tracks: Win with your 5 initial tickets and no others
.This achievement just requires five good initial tickets and attempting to finish the game as quickly as possible. I would recommend large tickets going transcontinental to accomplish this.

Modest Entrepreneur: Win without any of the 2 bonuses
This is probably a game I would recommend trying to win completing few (if any) tickets. Instead, concentrate on the long six-car routes to win the game, and hope the opponent has a continuous train longer than 12 cars.

Try to end the game as quickly as possible so the opponent does not have time to complete routes.

USA 1910 (Big Cities)
Urban Traveller Win while connecting all 7 Big Cities
This is the list of big cities you will need to connect
  1. Seattle
  2. Los Angeles
  3. Dallas
  4. Houston
  5. Chicago
  6. New York
  7. Miami
For this achievement, I would recommend the following routes:
  1. Seattle-San Francisco-Los Angeles
  2. Dallas-Houston
  3. Chicago-Pittsburgh-New York
  4. Houson-New Orleans-Atlanta-Miami
Then it is just about connecting everything together to form a connected web of trains. There are many possibilities to connect, but because the opponent is unpredictable, there might be some minor detours.

Pennsylvania
Finger in Every Pie: Win with at least one action of each company.
This one requires you to win having at least one stock share in each of the nine train companies. Some routes give a diverse selection (such as Rochester-Elmira, top center of map) while some others (New York-Atlantic City, right side center)offer few choices. Some routes, such as Dubois-Williamsport, center even offer no stock shares at all.

The list of stock shares are:
  1. BR*P
  2. Leigh Valley
  3. B & O
  4. Jersey CEntral Line
  5. Reading
  6. WM Railroad
  7. Eric
  8. New York Central
  9. Pennsylvania
Try to pick destination tickets that you are able to complete at the start of the game. Afterwards, focus on getting all the different stock shares rather than completing more destination tickets, as each stock share offers some points.

Keep in mind that it might make sense to place random train cards down just to get action cards in the different railroad companies, as some companies are far apart from each other. The strategy is to end the game quickly, as attempting to get all the different stock shares is a task in itself.

Three of a Kind: Win with actions from these 3 companies only: Eric Lackawanna Railway, Baltimore & Ohio Railroad, Pennsylvania Railroad
Getting this achievement requires you to win the game being allowed to only hold shares in the three companies listed. You are not required to own shares in all three companies to get this achievement.

Stranger: Win without any action from Pennsylvania Railroad (2 players only)
For this achievement, you need to make sure not to buy any stock in Pennsylvania Railroad. Pennsylvania Railroad is the largest company with 15 shares. So for this achievement, you just need to win the game avoiding Pennsylvania Railroad. This does mean avoiding a few routes though.

Early Bird: Win with at least three #1 actions
For this achievement, you need to be the first player to buy stocks in at least three companies. Just try building the rail network as quickly as possible, and even consider using tracks that give you the option of buying two shares, so you can buy stocks in two different companies.

Pennsylvania Passport: Win all achievements for the Pennsylvania map.
This achievement is unlocked when you complete all other achievements on the Pennsylvania map.
Europe
Station Rat: Win while using all 3 Stations
This achievement requires the use of all three stations. Keep in mind that when using a station costs 4 bonus points at the end. So for this one, I would recommend keeping the long destination ticket, and trying to block the opponent which does not seem to use stations.

Orient Express: Win with a Route connecting London, Paris, Munchen, Wien, Budapest, Bucuresti and Constantinople
You just need to make sure your trains go through all the cities listed, which once again are:
  1. London
  2. Paris
  3. Munchen
  4. Wien
  5. Budapest
  6. Bucuresti
  7. Constantionople
Since this achievement does not have span a large area of the map, some detours are okay. However, the one train between Wien and Budapest is essential, since the alternative requires four more thans and an extra turn.

Romanov Train: Win with a Route connecting all 11 Russian Empire cities Petrograd - Riga - Wilno - Warszawa - Smolensk - Moskva - Kytv - Kharkov - Rostov - Sevastopol - Sochi
The top eastern side of the map contains the Russian cities. Therefore, it is beneficial to restart the game so the long-destination ticket will hopefully go through the route, since this achievements requires quite a few detours.

National Railways: Win without your Long Destination Ticket
When drawing tickets at the beginning, you are not required to keep the long destination ticket. Just pick at least two other tickets to complete, and win the game.

Baltic Explorer:: Win with a 45 Long Route going through the 8-spaces Tunnel
Try to find a long-distance ticket that benefits from using the 8-space tunnel. Try to complete your two tickets as quickly as possible, and end the game with a continuous 45-car train.

Europe 1912 (Expanded)
Bow the Forbidden: Win without passing by Zurich, Minchen, Wien, Budapest, Zagrab nor Venezia
The cities listed are all on the center of the Europe map. By avoiding the listed cities while winning the game, this achievement is unlocked.

The Mole: Win while using at least 23 train cars in tunnels.
When building with tunnels, it should be noted that longer tunnel routes are beneficial because they serve two main purposes.
  1. Long tunnel routes (especially the 8-car 21-point route) provide you with lots of points
  2. Since all tunnel routes require flipped the next three cards face up, all tunnel routes at worst require three extra cards. Using three extra cards on a eight-car route (11 cards total) is not as bad proportion-wise as three extra cards on a two-car route (five cards total). Plan for one or two extra train cards when tunneling to be successful most of the time.
I would recommend trying to draw low-value tickets, and going for the longest tunnel routes. The eight-car tunnel at the top (Stockholm-Petrograd) and the six-car tunnel at the center (Budapest-Kytv) of the map. Lastly, consider the other four-car tunnels (Budapest-Bucuresti and Marseille-Roma) to have more trains go through tunnels. .
Europe 1912 (Mega)
Money for your Mileage: Win with at least 3 destination tickets worth 10 or more points
This achievement is pretty self-explanatory, requiring you to win the game with at least three destination dickets that each worth at least ten or more points.

In Diagonal we Trust: Win while connecting Cadiz to Petrograd or Edinburgh to Erzurum
For this achievement, it is recommended that you connect Cadiz (bottom left) to Petrograd (top right) because of the long eight-car train from Stockholm to PEtrograd that is worth 21-points by itself. While it is challenging to collect eight cards of the same color (and even some spares since it is a tunnel) this route offers a good chance of success if you complete this route.

If you do choose the other route, from Edinburgh to Erzurum, just make sure to connect Edinburgh to London quickly since Edinburgh has only one exit point.
Europe 1912 (Big Cities)
Sunny Mediterranean: Win while connecting Cadiz, Barcelona, Marseille, Roma, and Palermo.
The five cities listed are on the botton left portion of the map, essentially cities that border the Mediterranean Sea. Attempt to draw destination tickets that go further eastward from Palerno. The six car route from Palerno to Symrna is nice as it provides 15-points and is a good option.
Switzerland
Alphorn Player: Win without completing any Country-to country or City-to-Country Ticket
The Switzerland map introduces City-to Country and Country-to-Country tickets. Just make sure to either not complete them or pick them up. Those tickets can be recognized by the multiple face points.

Chocolate Exporter: Win while connecting all 4 surrounding Countries
This achievement conssits of two parts. The first is with drawing tickets. Since you will be connecting all four countries together, do your best to pick the country to country tickets. If that is not possible, then go for routes that go through a path you like or small routes you will not complete.

The next part is looking at the borders between the countires. To save trains, look at putting trains at the borders. These borders include:
  1. Basel to Deutschland & Delemont to France
  2. St Galle to Deutschland & St Gallen to Osterreich
  3. Davos to Osterreich & Davos to Italia
  4. Brig to Italia & Martigny to France
Then pick two of the four, if possible (covering all four countries) and connect those two together.

If you want more points, draw tickets, and only pick up more country to country tickets.

Valley Commuter: Win without claiming any Tunnel route
For this achievement, just make sure to only play on regular routes, and not to claim any tunnel routes. Try drawing low-value tickets if it does require tunnels, so that those incomplete tickets will not hurt your score as much. Keep in mind the long-train bonus, as it does help your score.

Ticket Puncher: Win with the deck of Destination Tickets empty at game end.
In the beginning, you are dealt five cards and are required to at least keep two. In subsequent draws, you are dealt 3 cards and must keep at least one. The cards you choose to discard are discarded for the game, so to complete this achievement, you just need to have an empty deck at the end of the game.

Lake Express: Win while connecting all the great Swiss Lakes (Geneve or Lausanne, Neuchatel, Interlaken, Zurich, Lugano, Locarno, Kreuzlingen)
This one just requires winning the game having all the cities listed below connected. Since Kreuzlingen is close to Deutchland, it makes sense to extend the connection with an orange or white train to Deutchland. This will help with any Country-to-Country cards you might have, since you already connected to Italia when you went to Lugano.
Legendary Asia
Mountain Hermit: Win while only claiming Mountain routes
This achievement is pretty straightforward. Just try to get destination tickets that only go through mountain routes, and if that is not possible, try for the lowest-value tickets. For trying to score more points, look towards the longer 4-car train mountain routes,

Marco Polo: Win with the Asian Explorer Bonus connecting 22 Cities
Essentially, this one requires you to have 21 cities connected together. It does not have to be a long, continuous route, just a web network that visits at least 22 or more cities on the map.

This one requires small routes. Starting from Astrakhan, work your way through the map going through the one-and two space routes. It does seem costly as some of those routes two-car routes now cost three trains (because of mountains), but it is still the shortest route. The one-car trains on the bottom right-hand side of the map are crucial for this achievement as it gives you more flexibility in trains.

Double Trouble: WIn while only claiming Double-routes
When choosing destination tickets, either choose routes that go entirely through double tracks or small tickets you intend not to finish. Remember that most double tracks are shorter (less than 3-trains), so really value the longer 5-car double track. In addition, consider the double-track mountain routes which will help speed up the game so it ends quicker.

Faster Than a Mongolian Horse: Win in 24 turns or less
This is all about speed. Try to get low-value tickets, and if possible, low-value tickets that go through mountain routes. Your primary goal is not to complete these tickets, but to end the game as quickly as possible hoping your opponent has unfinished tickets as well.

The trick to this achievement is the mountain routes. When you place trains on a mountain routes, you waste extra trains, but not extra train cards. This helps save valuable turns as you attempt to end (and win) the game as quickly as possible.

First, consider all those two-car mountain routes that have two "x's". These routes require two train cards, and in return will take four trains, giving you six points total. The list of these routes are as follows:
  1. Irkutsk-Ulan Bator
  2. Tehran-Shiraz
  3. Shiraz-Karachi
  4. Kathmandu-Mandalay
  5. Lhasa-Mandalay
  6. Mandalay-Hanoi
Next, think about the other mountain routes. While these routes are not as lucrative, they will still help you to waste trains.

Lastly, don't forget that when you end the game, that you still have one last turn. This means you MUST end the game by turn 23 so the final turn is counted as turn 24. Otherwise, you will not accomplish this achievement. Good luck!

Asia Passport: Win all achievements for the Legendary Asia map
By completing the four other achievements on the Legendary Asia map, you will get this achievement.
India
Fakir: Win without any Mandala Bonus
The Mandala bonus gives extra points for routes that are connected at least two different ways, basically like a loop. You need to avoid that in this achievement, so rather than creating loops, you can either create a web or just have a long continuous train connecting all the cities together.

Hand of Kali: Win while preventing all opponent(s) from scoring any Mandala Bonus
This one requires you to prevent all opponents from connecting their routes more than one way.through a loop and scoring a Mandala bonus. The strategy is to block the opponent if it looks like a loop is created, or just hope the computer is not smart enough to create loops.

Mandala Maharaja: Win with the 5 Mandalas Bonus
This one requires five Mandala bonuses, which means five tickets that can connect at least two different ways a form a loop. This one is probably more difficult since it literally means one route requires two separate routes.

The first strategy would be short and low-scoring tickets that are easy to create a loop. The second strategy would be to build a large Mandela, or big loop and hope to draw tickets that conform to the route.

British Raj Tour: Win while connecting Delhi, Calcutta, Madras & Bombay in a single Mandala
For this achievement, you need to create a loop connecting the four cities. Most of the four cities have multiple entry points, but only three of those routes are beneficial since otherwise you will make the long way around to form the loop. Concentrate on drawing cards, and if the opponent blocks one of the routes, try your best to claim the other two routes.

Indian Passport: Win all achievements for the India map
This achievement is unlocked when you complete all other achievements on the India map.
Nordic Countries
Santa Express: Win with the Murmansk/Lieksa road
The Murmansk-Lieska route is the nine-car gray route on the top right of the map. Completing thi route is worth 27 points, so it will hopefully lead to an easy win if you can pull this off. Locomotives cannot be used as wilds in this version of the game. In addition, you cannot complete this route with 9 locomotive cards, you must use 9 colored cards (or substitute cards) explained below.

Special to the Murmansk-Lieska route is the ability to subtitute cards. You can substitute four cards of any variety including locomotives in place of the one colored train card you need. So if you had seven black cards, you could substitute eight cards (any variety, such as two reds, one green, three yellow, two locomotives) for the two black cards. You would be discarding esentially seven black cards and eight other cards in order to complete this route.

Arctic Circle: Win while connecting together the 7 cities north of the Artic Circle: Narcik, Kiruna, Rovanlemi, Tromso, Kirkenes, Murmansk, Honningsvag
This achievement requires connecting the seven cities on the top of the map. It is not necessary to make a loop, so it is a good idea to skip the five blues to save on frustration when collecting train cards. Make sure to get the two whites and one locomotive route from Honningsvag to Murmansk otherwise the alternative routes would be difficult.

The Pole Express: Connect Arhus to Honningsvag with 24 trains and win the game
This achievement requires you to have the shortest route from Arhus (on bottom of map) to Honningsvag (on top of map), forming a relatively long and straight "pole". This achievement has two obstacles that make it a challenge to complete
  1. The first is that the opponent cannot place any trains on the route;
  2. You need seven blue cards for this route. Locomotive cards are not allowed to be used as wildcards in this version of the game.
The route you need to follow is this, from top to bottom: Honningsvag, Kirkenes, Rovaniemi, Tornio, Boden, Umea, Sandsvall, Orebro, and Goteborg, then either Goteborg-Kabenhaven-Arhus or Goteborg-Alborg-Arhus.

Land Lines: Win without using any ferries
For this achievement, you cannot use any ferries. There are the two single-car train routes (Boden-Tornio and Tornio-Oulu) in the center of the board that are crucial for connecting the map without ferries. Having those routes, you just need to be careful when you choose additional tickets to make sure routes you choose can be accessed by land and not ferries. You are allowed to build tunnels, just not ferries that go over bodies of water.

Nordic Passport: Win all achievements for the Nordic Countries map
This achievement is unlocked when you complete all other achievements on the Nordic Countries map
Germany
Intercities: Win while only completing short Destination Tickets.
Start the game by drawing from the short-destination tickets only. Out of the four, pick at least two (more if the cards are good). Afterwards, continue playing the game and when drawing more tickets, only draw from the short-destination stack. You will get this achievement if you win the game.

Das Rheingold: Win while connecting Switzerland, Freiburg, Karlsruhe, Mainz, Dusseldorf and Holland in 15 turns.
This one needs to be done with precision. I spent the first seven turns drawing train cards, then the next eight turns laying down routes. To complete this feat, you will definitely need two orange, three purples, three whites, one blue, another two cards of the same color, as well as three additional three train cards of any variety. Completing this route requires fourteen train cards to complete. So theoretically, you could finish this achievement in fourteen turns rather than fifteen.

The route I took was from Netherlands-Dusseldorf-Koln-Koblenz-Mainz-Mannheim-Karlsrube-Freiburg-Switzerland.

Since this achievement was my top priority, I started the game with four short-destination tickets, putting those tickets on hold until I finished my initial route. I then aggressively continued drawing from the short-destination ticket pile, amassing more points in hopes of beating the computer bot who was laying down large routes worth many points. However, this is more a preference than a requirement in completing this achievement.

Berlin Traveller: Win while connecting Berlin to the 5 surrounding countries.
This route requires a relatively specific route, otherwise you will not have enough trains to complete this achievement. I found it easier to first map my route to make sure I had enough trains, then draw destination cards that go through points I chose on my route. Therefore, the tickets you pick at the beginning are very important, so if necessary, restart the game for more favorable destination tickets

I choose to first connect Denmark to Kiel, then Hamburg, and finally Hannover. This meant that connecting to Berlin gave me three choices:
  1. Either seven yellow or seven blue train cards connecting Hansburg to Berlin, or
  2. seven black train cards from Hannover-Berlin
If you followed this route, then you will likely go from Hannover to Munster, then to the Netherlands (country on mid-left of map).

You are relatively free in your choice of routes heading to the last three countries on the bottom of the map, but with one caveat: the route from Lindau-Osterrich is necessary, otherwise you will run out of train cards. It is wise to try going the shortest route to both Switzerland and France, but you can make minor adjustments in case the computer bot decides to block you.

Mega Commuter: Win while only completing long Destination Tickets.
Start the game by drawing from the long-destination tickets only. Out of the four, pick at least two (more if the cards are good). Afterwards, continue playing the game and when drawing more tickets, only draw from the long-destination stack. You will get this achievement if you win the game.

German Passport: Win all achievements for the Germany map.
This achievement is unlocked when you complete all other achievements on the Germany map
UK Advanced
Business Angel: Win with get the Boiler Lagging technology before claiming your first route
The Boiler Lagging technology card requires two locomotives. Purchase this card before claiming any routes, you will be able to acquire the award.

London Calling: Win with all routes to London claimed
To get this achievement, you need to place trains on all seven routes into London. Luckily, this achievement does not require any extra technology cards in your quest to block your opponent from entering London.

The biggest difficulty with this achievement is the sheer number of turns wasted placing all those trains down. My strategy was to take advantage of larger routes (such as Southhampton-New York) and try to end the game quickly. The reason I tended to avoid destination tickets is because they sometimes require multiple concession cards that can waste the limited locomotives you have.

So Many Colors: Win with used 4 or 3 cards for a loco
There are two options for getting this achievement:
  1. Trade four cards of the same color for a locomotive card
  2. Trade three cards of the same color (with the Booster technology card in your possession) for a locomotive card

Titanic: Win with New-York route but don’t get the Propellers
The cards you receive at the start of the game are crucial for the success of this achievement. Because you are not allowed Ferry routes, you need to make sure the routes you choose do not cross any bodies of water. My strategy would be to stick to destination tickets within Wales, making sure to get the Wales technology card too.

After planning your route carefully, make sure you acquire two locomotive tickets to get the Superheated Steam Boiler technology card for claiming 4,5, or 6-space routes. Other possible recommendations on useful technology cards include Mechanical Stoker (for claiming 3-train routes) or Water Tenders (drawing three blind cards rather than the usual two).

I would focus primarily on ending the game relatively quickly, taking advantage of the New York route being worth so many points. Focusing on a speedy game is the key to winning here.

I Love Ginger: Win by connecting only cities from Ireland and Scotland
This achievement requires luck from the start when you are first presented with the option to choose destination tickets. If you're unable to choose three tickets that only go to Ireland or Scotland, restart the game and try again. Because you're only able to go to Ireland and Scotland (20 cities), you're quite limited by the destination tickets you're able to score points on.

Therefore, it's especially crucial to use technology cards to your advantage when trying to win the game. I would recommend the Boiler Lagging card which adds one extra point for every route complete. In order to place longer trains, I'd also recommend Mechanical Stoker (three train routes) and Superheated Steam Boiler (four, five, or six train routes) in order to make the best of places you're able to put trains on as you're not going to draw destination tickets in this game.

Whatever strategy you utilize, try to avoid drawing destination tickets, and focus more on scoring points through placing trains on the board instead.

I Visited Wales: Win with at least 2 routes in Wales and none in England
This achievement requires you to connect at least (out of the possible five) cities in Wales together while winning the game. This may seem easy, until you realize that there are many destination tickets (and long routes) that go through England. Therefore, restart the game if the destination tickets you receive at the beginning of the game go through England.

Otherwise, utilize Scotland and Ireland as locations to place trains and hopefully score enough points to win the game. Similarly, consider higher-value routes to improve your odds of winning rather than gambling with drawing destination tickets.

She's got a Ticket to Ride: Win with connect Liverpool to London then New York in that order
This achievement is pretty self-explanatory. Connect Liverpool with London. Next, connect London to New York. After completing that route, I would recommend getting the Boiler Lagging technology card, then drawing destination tickets to win the game.

France - Wales: Win a game while connecting France and Wales (any cities)
This achievement just requires connecting France to any one (or more) of the five cities in Wales.. The cities in Wales are Holyhead, Aberystwyth, Llandrindod Wells, Carmarten, and Cardiff.
Technology Cards (UK Advanced)
The UK Advanced expansion introduces sixteen technology cards. Followed below is the complete list.

Cards requiring 1 Locomotive:
Ireland / France Connection:
Allows you to claim routes into any of 10 cities in Ireland and into France.
    Cities:
  1. Londonderry
  2. Silgo
  3. Galway
  4. Dundalk
  5. Belfast
  6. Limerick

@BlondesGift
You will get the achievement for Das Rheingold after you win the game.

Question for Das Rheingold. Does the achievement come after I lay down the last card within 15 rounds? Or after the game?

I'm having trouble with Marco Polo (Legendary Asia), can someone tell which bot is best to use there?

hi can you update the France section? Thank you

@techmouse

You are correct. There are 45 trains in the Legendary Asia map.

Those trains that disappeared went towards 'mountains'. Essentially it takes extra trains (but not train cards) to build routes over mountainous terrain.

Thanks for the guide. But I don't understand how on the screenshot of Marco Polo you put 40 trains on the map if 6 disappeared. There are 45 trains in total, isn't it?

For Coal Tender, play Marg because she seems easier, pick 2 routes that are near a couple of the blacks and are close to each other as well, and then constantly draw only blacks or locomotives, if none are showing, draw from the deck. All the extra cards you draw from the deck will be plenty to finish your routes.

Edit to my previous post: I figured it out too, it was just a problem of translation. Good luck to you for the achievements!
