Change characters in Manhattan (Free Roam)

In this guide I will show you how to change your characters while being in Manhattan-Free Roam.

Introduction

Hey folks!

I saw that a lot of you guys have problems figuring out how to change your characters while walking around in Manhattan. I found myself walking around the city for half an hour looking for an option once i got to Manhattan for the first time.

There might be spoiler, so be careful!

Step for Step Tutorial

Okay, as you might have noticed, you CAN'T change your characters when you enter the city for the first time.

So here's what you have to do:


1. Get to the Helicarrier:

First of all you need to play all the levels until you can reach Manhattan. As soon as you're there, you are playing as Steve Rogers and Phil Coulson. Sadly, you can't change your characters yet.
So, just follow the blue studs to the plane and start your next mission.
Once you've done it, you're on the Helicarrier as Cpt. America and Agent Williams.

2. Next Mission:

You also need to absolve the next mission where you have to fine S.H.I.E.L.D.'s chests.

3. Start next mission:



Right after that you need to get to Banner's Lab again and start the next mission 'Helicarrier Havoc'.
But you don't need to complete it in order to get to Manhattan again.
Just open the Menu and choose 'Exit Level'.

4. Select Manhattan:



Now you should be able to see the globe. Just choose Manhattan and right after that you're flying down to Earth.

5. Find a Character Station:



Now it's easy! You just need to find a Character/Vehicle-Station. They're marked as blue points on your minimap. Find one and activate it.



You should now be able to select between moving back to the Helicarrier, choosing a vehicle or a character. Take the last one and you can change your character and buy unlocked ones.







6. Change whenever you want!:



Now you can run, drive, jump or fly through Manhattan with any character as you wish.
If you're tired of your current character or need to be a specific hero for a minigame, just press and Hold Y/Triangle/U (Keyboard) to access the character sheet. No need to access the Station again but for getting a vehicle as long as you don't start a new mission. If you do so, you gotta go to a station again.
