This add-on changes the default Left 4 Dead 2 background video, which plays by default when you're at the main menu, to Deapools intro video (the video game. It has the audio from the game included as well. Feel free to leave any comments/suggestions. Enjoy.

These are the steps to manually install it. It's very easy to do, simply follow the instructions:

Easy explanation:

(First subscribe, start up L4D2, (wait for all of your mods/add-ons to load, including this one, and then proceed)

1. Exit the game
2. In Steam, Go to Library- Games
3. Right Click L4D2 - Properties
4. Go to Local files - Browse local files
5. Go to left4dead2/addons/workshop
6. Move the vpk(this addon) to your Desktop
7. Using GCFSCAPE (a program kinda like 7zip) extract the "Mod" folder from this add-on, to your desktop.
8. Inside the "Mod" folder, there should be a l4d2_background01.bik file. This file will eventually go into your...
9."Left 4 Dead 2\left4dead2/Media" folder. There is already 5 of these background video files by default in your /media folder. Move them somewhere safe before replacing them with MY "l4d2_background.bik" file, so you can reset your main menu to default later if you want to for whatever reason.

10.Copy my l4d2_background01.bik file, and copy it four times. You should now have: l4d2_background01,l4d2_background02,etc all the way until l4d2_background05 (FIVE FILES) and move them into your "/media" folder, obviously replacing the original ones you moved earlier.

11.Restart L4D2, and your background video should now be a little more cooler!

That's it! Enjoy!

Lengthier Explanation (if you need me to explain it a different way):

1. Hit "Subsribe" to get this add-on. Then make sure to start up L4D2, and wait for the game to download this add-on.
Once your game is done downloading the add-on, you can exit the game and proceed with the next step.

2. Go to your Left 4 Dead 2 "Media" folder, it should be located in: C:\Program Files
(x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Left 4 Dead 2\left4dead2\media

3. Locate the files " l4d2_background01" through " l4d2_background05". Make a backup of these five files, in
case you later want to return the background video to default. Move these files, or the backups you made of them
etc, to a new folder somewhere, so that you can later return the video to default if you so wish, at a later time. Your
"Desktop" could be a place to store these files, for example.

4. Locate the folder of this add-on, by navigating to your workshop folder (where all the add-ons are stored) for left 4 dead 2. Example : C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Left 4 Dead2\left4dead2\addons\workshop

5. An easy way to find this add on, is by clicking on the first image file you see in the workshop folder (like double
clicking an image file to view it on your computer, like you probably do everyday) and just keep clicking next, until you
see the icon that this add-on is represented by (the big red Deadpool picture).

6. Once you locate this add-on folder, (the VPK file with the same filename as the image file you found), use
GCFSCAPE (It's a program to extract VPK folders, sort of like how 7zip is a program used to open zip files for
example) open the VPK (the add-on) folder, and inside the "Mod" folder, extract the .bik file "l4d2_background01",
and move it to your Left 4 Dead 2 Media folder (the one we talked about earlier). Then, copy the file "l4d2_background01" and paste it four times into the "Media" folder.

7. You should now have 5 "l4d2_background01" files. Simple rename the last part into the corresponding number,
for example " l4d2_background02, l4d2_background03, l4d2_background04, l4d2_background05".

That's it! Make sure not to touch any of the other media (.bik) files in the Media folder, as you don't have to (and it saves you from messing anything up etc). Your background video at the main menu should now be the intro video for Deadpool the game.

Can you make a X-Men version of this?

Ok, I just redownloaded it and all, and it worked right away. What are all the files you have in your "Media"folder? You should have:

l4d2_background01
l4d2_background02
l4d2_background03
l4d2_background04
l4d2_background05
l4d2_intro
l4d2_upsell
startupvids.360 (text document)
valve
valve_xbox_legals

All of the above are .bik files, with the exception of startupvids.360, that's a text document file.
If you have all of the above installed, then maybe you should redo the installation, as i'm not sure what else might be wrong, maybe other add-ons are affecting it? Not sure that could happen with a media file though, unless you have other media file add-ons.

I'll redownload the mod and try to figure out what might have happened, because that's strange, as it works for me and everyone else, not sure what might be going on.

Yeah, I know, that what surprises me, 'cause I did everything as you wrote, and no, I did copy right files from mod, and there are no original files, because they re in folder at dekstop

Are you still seeing the same standard background video at the main menu then? I'm thinking you might have accidentally moved the origanl files back into the "Media" folder. It's either that, or you moved the files from the "Backup" folder into the "Media" folder. The only files you should move into the "Media" folder is the contents from the "Mod" folder. It's easy to accidentally copy the wrong files. Also, make sure the original files you had in the "Media" folder are taken out of that directory, and put it somewhere like your Desktop for example.

Just subscribed to it myself to test it out, and it's fine and working. Actually thinking of keeping it as my default song now haha. Thanks for the suggestion. Enjoy.
