PETS
Honorable companions. Certain pets will fight battles by our sides, whilst others prefer to follow and provide some sort of autoloot function or buff. The majority of pets are available in the in-game cash shop.

Overview
🐻 ᴘᴇᴛs • most common pets
🦙 ᴀʟᴘᴀᴄᴀ • fluff
🥚 ᴇɢɢsᴘʟᴏɪᴛᴇʀ ᴘᴇᴛs • mirror trapping, almanac of gods, meru and sara
🥡 ᴘᴀɴᴅᴏʀᴀ's ʙᴏx • summons for quest instances and guild cottage
🦄 ᴛʀᴜᴇ ᴜʟᴛɪᴍᴀᴛᴇ ᴘᴇᴛs • fancy looking pets
🐩 ᴠᴀɴɪᴛʏ ᴘᴇᴛ • pets for aesthetics, autoloot and stat boost

We may summon multiple pets at the same time:
1 normal or non-evolvable pet + 1 eggsploiter + x vanity pet + 1 pandora's box

🐻 Pets
These are the most common pets on the market; they can be summoned for any periods of time, will fight along side us, can be evolved and also ridden as a method of transport. We can claim our new pet by using one of the vending machines at the nearest pet shop, once we've purchased a [ᴄᴀᴘsᴜʟᴇ ᴠᴇɴᴅɪɴɢ ᴍᴀᴄʜɪɴᴇ ᴛᴏᴋᴇɴ] or a [sᴇ ᴛᴏᴋᴇɴ] from the cash shop.

ᴘᴇᴛ ʜɪʙᴇʀɴᴀᴛɪᴏɴ ʙᴏx
Pets listed in player shops are stored in one of these boxes

ʀᴇᴀɴɪᴍᴀʟᴀᴛᴏʀ
Revives a dead pet

ʜᴇᴀʟᴛʜ ᴀɴᴅ ᴍᴀɴᴀ
A pet's ʜᴘ and ᴍᴘ depletes as it uses skills and takes damage. Handcrafted [ᴘᴇᴛ sɴᴀᴄᴋs] from the class Musician (and some of their pet healing skills) can easily attend to those needs. Purchased items can heal their ʜᴘ (ʙᴏᴡ ᴡᴏᴡ ʜᴘ ʙɪsᴄᴜɪᴛ, ᴘᴇᴅɪɢʀᴇᴇ ᴘᴏᴡᴇʀ) and ᴍᴘ (ᴍᴇᴏᴡ ᴍᴇᴏᴡ ᴍᴘ ᴛʀᴇᴀᴛ, ᴍᴏɴɢʀᴇʟ ᴍᴀɢɪᴄ)

Our dead pet can be revived with Musician skills, by visiting the pet shop or by taking to the beloved [ʙᴇɴɴʏ ᴍᴀʀsʜᴀʟʟ]. Just like us, pets also lose a small% of ᴇxᴘ upon death. Their lost ᴇxᴘ cannot be restored.

ʟᴏʏᴀʟᴛʏ
If our pet's loyalty decreases, we may lose the ability to summon them or they might permanently run away. To avoid this, we must play with them to raise their loyalty, or give them pet treats and fidelity fruits. Their loyalty is also fully restored upon evolution. Pets who are stored inside a [ᴘᴇᴛ ʜɪʙᴇʀɴᴀᴛɪᴏɴ ʙᴏx] will not lose any loyalty over time.

ʟᴏʏᴀʟᴛʏ ʟᴏss -1 daily -10 when pet dies -10 if we died while pet was summoned
ʟᴏʏᴀʟᴛʏ ʀᴇsᴛʀɪᴄᴛɪᴏɴs 80 → can't use saddle 40 → might run away if summoned (Playing and flying is okay) 20 → can't summon 10 → can't trade

ᴇᴠᴏʟᴜᴛɪᴏɴ
While summoned, pets have the ability to leech ᴇxᴘ from us. This ᴇxᴘ share can be adjusted from the pet's menu, whereas 0% means they get nothing and 100% means they take it all.

ʟᴇᴠᴇʟ ʀᴇsᴛʀɪᴄᴛɪᴏɴs
◌ We fight and they leech → no restrictions
◌ The pet fights and I do not → pet must be within level range of our character, somewhere between 5 levels lower, up to 5 higher. They will not gain ᴇxᴘ if outside this spectrum

Finally, our pets can be evolved to become stronger at certain level thresholds: 10, 40 and 60. Doing so requires evolution stones... We can seek the pet shop to purchase an [ᴇʟᴇᴍᴇɴᴛᴀʀʏ ᴇᴠᴏʟᴜᴛɪᴏɴ sᴛᴏɴᴇ] for level 10, and purchase from players or the cash-shop an [ɪɴᴛᴇʀᴍᴇᴅɪᴀᴛᴇ ᴇᴠᴏʟᴜᴛɪᴏɴ sᴛᴏɴᴇ] for level 40; and [ᴀᴅᴠᴀɴᴄᴇᴅ ᴇᴠᴏʟᴜᴛɪᴏɴ sᴛᴏɴᴇ] for level 60.

ᴛʀᴀɴsᴘᴏʀᴛ
Once level 61, at the exception of Jade and Love, pets gain the ability to be mounted, either with a saddle or with a (permanent) upgrade allowing them to fly. Enabling flying requires a [ꜰʟʏɪɴɢ ᴜᴘɢʀᴀᴅᴇ sᴛᴏɴᴇ]. Saddles increase our movement speed as well as bonus stats, and are one-time use. While mounted, our pets will not take any damage.

ᴘᴇᴛ ᴛʏᴘᴇs
Pets are available in their original default skin or as a special edition [sᴇ] variant which features a different appearance. Some sᴇ have a chance of becoming kings or queens upon the last evolution. They are bigger in size and have slightly increased stats or additional skills.

🦙 Alpaca
The alpaca is a non-evolvable pet that can be used with saddles and requires loyalty maintenance. Unlike the other non-evolveable pets, the alpaca can be leveled up to level 65. This is a cash-shop item.

🥚 Eggsploiter pets
◌ Monsters captured with a [ᴍᴏɴsᴛᴇʀ-ᴛʀᴀᴘᴘɪɴɢ ᴍɪʀʀᴏʀ] are converted into an egg in our inventory and can be summoned to fight by our side. These eggs are one-time use and can be captured again with another mirror.

◌ The [ᴀʟᴍᴀɴᴀᴄ ᴏꜰ ɢᴏᴅs ᴀɴᴅ ᴅᴇᴍᴏɴs] allows to record and view monster information within the [ᴅᴇᴍᴏɴ ɢᴜɪᴅᴇ], and to summon them. These monsters are permanent, but requires [ᴅᴇᴠɪʟ ᴅᴜsᴛ] to perform a summon. Speaking with the Mirror King's Assistant grants us a free Almanac; located in the summoning pool.

◌ The eggsploiter [ᴍᴇʀᴜ] has a cap level of 40 and can be summoned for 1h at a time. After which they can be summoned again. Meru joins combat with us and requires the maintenance only of its ʜᴘ. To heal them, we can use the items [ᴘᴇᴅɪɢʀᴇᴇ ᴘᴏᴡᴇʀ] and [ʙᴏᴡ-ᴡᴏᴡ ʜᴘ ʙɪsᴄᴜɪᴛ], or a skill from Merchant: ʜᴘ ᴍᴇᴅɪᴄɪɴᴇ ʙᴏᴏsᴛ. Meru's ᴍᴘ is infinite and doesn't require upkeep. ⁽ ᶜᵃˢʰ⁻ˢʰᵒᵖ ᶦᵗᵉᵐ ⁾

◌ [sᴡᴇᴇᴛʜᴇᴀʀᴛ sᴀʀᴀ] has a cap level of 70 and can be summoned for 1h at a time. Their ʜᴘ can be healed with the same methods used for Meru. ⁽ ᶜᵃˢʰ⁻ˢʰᵒᵖ ᶦᵗᵉᵐ ⁾

⁻ ˢʷᵉᵉᵗʰᵉᵃʳᵗ ˢᵃʳᵃ ᵛᵃʳᶦᵃᵗᶦᵒⁿˢ

ᴍᴀɪᴅ
Joins combat. Uses magical attack. Its ᴀᴏᴇ skill consumes [ʙᴀɢ ᴏꜰ ᴀsʜ]

ɴᴜʀsᴇ
Personal healer. Also gives us [ʀᴇɢᴇɴᴇʀᴀᴛɪᴏɴ]. The other buffs consumes [ꜰʀᴏɢs]

sᴛᴜᴅᴇɴᴛ
Joins combat. Uses physical attack and self-buffs similar to blademaster.

🐷 Non-evolvable pets
The cash-shop also has a small selection of level 60 pets. These cannot level up any higher and do not evolve. They can, however, be used with a saddle. Just like regular pets, they require loyalty maintenance and come in a wide variety of colors.

They are often used as an easy sacrifice for [ᴛᴀɪ ᴄʜɪ ᴍɪʀʀᴏʀ] since it meets the level requirement.

🥡 Pandora's box
[ᴘᴀɴᴅᴏʀᴀ's ʙᴏx ʜᴀɴɢɪɴɢ] is another item that allows us to capture and summon monsters. It can be obtained for free upon completion of [ᴍɪʀʀᴏʀ ǫᴜᴇsᴛ: ᴍɪssɪᴏɴ 1] or purchased at the summoning pool from the [ʀᴏʏᴀʟ ᴀɪᴅᴇ]

This box differs from the mirror-trapping mirrors whereas its monsters can only be summoned in quest battles, life quests, mirror quests, guild cottage and at wedding venues. These monsters are permanent and can be summoned again.

🦄 True ultimate pets
We can find, in the cash-shop, pets that can be further combined with their duplicated copies to become [ᴛʀᴜᴇ] or [ᴜʟᴛɪᴍᴀᴛᴇ] versions of themselves. This process also requires the corresponding [ᴀʟᴄʜᴇᴍʏ sᴄʀᴏʟʟ] and, occasionally, [ʜᴀɪʀ ᴅʏᴇ]

ᴇxᴀᴍᴘʟᴇ ᴏꜰ ᴇᴠᴏʟᴜᴛɪᴏɴ
ᴛʀᴜᴇ → mecha fox lv 60 x2 + true mecha fox alch scroll
ᴜʟᴛɪᴍᴀᴛᴇ → true mecha fox lv 60 x2 + ultimate mecha fox alch scroll

🐩 Vanity pets
[ᴠᴀɴɪᴛʏ ᴘᴇᴛs] have no skills, but certain types offer to boost our stats when summoned. They follow us around and sometimes provide autoloot. Vanipets are stored in the inventory or in a [ᴠᴀɴɪᴛʏ ᴘᴇᴛ ᴛʀᴇᴀsᴜʀᴇ ʙᴏx]. With duplicates, the box can be used to level up a vanity pet, further enhancing its bonus.

yea, that's correct for the flying stone. The pet needs to be level 60-61 in order to be able to use the flying stone.

I've never used a saddle myself so not 100% sure on that, but as far as i know, it's good just for the ground. Can always buy one and try it, they were cheap last time I checked :hmm:
Elwood Jun 2, 2017 @ 8:33am
alright, so no matter what, to fly a pet you need a flying upgrade stone then, correct. (and yes, of the 'gem' pets, I know the jade/love cannot fly; I'm not particularly interestined in the rest - just the 'gem' pets) And also the temporary saddles only allow you to ride on the ground, not in the air. Does this sound correct? (sorry for all the questions, just trying to plan ahead a bit.)
Metsushiro  [author] May 25, 2017 @ 7:48am
I believe the saddles are only for ground riding. When your pet is level 61, you can use a Flying Upgrade Stone and that will allow you to fly it. Note that some pets cannot undergo the flying upgrade.
Elwood May 25, 2017 @ 2:31am
I am still unclear on a few things, because I keep hearing various reports: do we need the evo. stone to ride the pet like a weapon? Also, are the various saddles just for ground riding, or do they let you ride like a weapon as well?
