How to convert mods from FS 2011 to FS 2013

How to convert Farming Simulator 2011 mods to Farming Simulator 2013. DISCLAIMER: Not all mods will appear/be functional but it is worth a try.

Converting mods

Open the mod you want to convert.

Change the modDesc.xml to modDesc.txt so you can access it.

Open it and change the 4 in <modDesc descVersion="4"> to a 9 so it looks like:
<modDesc descVersion="9">

Save it.

Change modDesc.txt back to modDesc.xml

Note: At first, some mods I converted appeared in game and others would not. I found this confusing as they were from the same pack, but Iooked back and found stupid errors I'd made like not saving the changes to the modDesc or not changing it back to an xml file. Its always worth being careful and double-checking...
