How to:Ruina Imperii

Do you want to unlock the achievement Ruina Imperii but it's too difficult? Don't worry. Arrow in the Knee is here for you. I found a method that is not included in the wiki. So prepare yourselfe and launch your game, you are going to ruin an Empire.

Description of the Achievement

-Ruina Imperii: Dismantle the Holy Roman Empire.

There are four ways to get the achievement (by difficulty):

• The HRE Emperor gets vassalized during a League War.
  
• 'Dismantle HRE' button in the HRE interface.
  
• All countries in the HRE get annexed.
  
• The restored HRE gets annexed. None has to be done by the player.

What we want to do

I found that if there aren't possible electors in the HRE it will be dismantled.
How can we do this? With the religious wars inside the HRE.
It's very simple. If Catholic is the official faith, only catholic countries can be electors or emperor.
So this is what you should do: as protestant in a Catholic Empire convert or annex every elector/catholic country. When only the emperor will remain the empire will be dismantled.

How to do it [Method 1]

1. Start a strong country inside or near the HRE (France, Austria, Poland, Denmark, Bohemia or Brandenburg).
2. Facoltative: Pick Religious ideas. It may help you in the future.
3. Try to become bigger and stronger and wait untill Protestant reforms breaks out
4. Become Protestant
5. Join the Protestant league and lose the war. We want a Catholic Empire. If they don't win the war you will have to start againt.
6. Now only Catholic contries can become electors or Emperor, start declaring war on them. When every Catholic state in the HRE will be converted the Empire will be dismatled and you will unlock the Ruina Imperii achievement. Congratulations.

it literally takes you 20-30 minutes ( depends on what speed you play on and how early you get the union)

much easier by just playing poland in 1444, take your union and hope for moldova to become a march, then ally all electors and attack an ally of austria that is not part of the empire ( ussually hungary)
Then just occupy wien ( shouldn;t be hard) and boom
No more HRE.

And you dont need to spend hours upon hours into the game converting every small guy.
What if there is a big country that you can;t force convert?
